Interview with Producer FoxSister

Within less than a week of release, it sold over 22,000 copies.

Playmeow invited Producer FoxSister to talk with us about the origins of the game, the persistence and challenges during development, and their experience using the Playmeow development tool ACG Creator.[/p][h2]
From Novel to Game: Realizing Multiple Possibilities[/h2][p]FoxSister recalls that the novel was first written during their sophomore year in college, more than 15 years ago.
“At the time, I often imagined different routes and endings, but the medium of a novel can only progress linearly, so it was difficult to present multiple possibilities simultaneously.” They laughed, saying that turning the novel into a game was the ideal way to make all the ideas that once flashed through their mind come to life before the players’ eyes.

For the Producer, Molester Master: Transformed into a Girl was a form of “identity expression”: the protagonist carried the other life they wanted to try.
“If it only remained as words on paper, it would be a waste. By letting players operate directly, make choices, and experience it through gameplay, the sense of immersion becomes much stronger.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Major Adaptation Brings a New Story Experience[/h2][p]n the adaptation process, FoxSister did not simply transplant the original but made significant adjustments.
“In the novel, there was a confinement and humiliation scene. If the game threw such a scene at players right from the start, the experience would be terrible.”

So, the Producer decisively removed these segments that restricted player freedom, replacing them with the design principle of “entering a freely selectable stage as quickly as possible.” The original linear narrative was broken down into side events, allowing players to experience them non-linearly.

In addition, they incorporated elements of the Cthulhu Mythos to replace the original angel-and-demon themes.
“The novel felt too mundane and lacked memorable points. With the life experiences and gaming influences I’ve gained over these past ten-plus years, I wanted the work to have a more unique atmosphere.”

In the game, players will encounter mysterious books through the heroine, which will lead them into strange new places to explore — the biggest difference between the game and the novel.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]HCG and Freedom: An Erotic Game Must Be Playable[/h2][p]Sex Change Contract and Molester Girl includes 34 CGs and over 1,200 variations, all upgraded into animated HCGs.
“It was originally just static CGs, but we decided to make them all animated. Although it delayed the release, I wanted players to truly enjoy the experience.”

The Producer emphasized that erotic games shouldn’t just be “watching pictures,” but must be playable.
Thus, the game features many interactive commands — such as thrusting or oral actions — combined with character stat changes, so each performance plays out differently.
“Freedom is the most important thing, because it lets players feel that they’re truly influencing the world, not just passively watching a story arranged by the developer.”[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Voice Acting Brings the Characters to Life[/h2][p]Another highlight of the game is the inclusion of Japanese voice actors. The heroine, Beryl, was voiced by Momoyama Ion, who delivered distinctly different voices for roles such as maid, hostess, and streamer — even the H-scenes were given nuanced variation.

“We used online real-time monitoring during recording, and I personally attended the entire process to ensure that the performances matched the character atmosphere,” said FoxSister. This approach is relatively rare in the industry, but the results far exceeded expectations.[/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p]Because the recordings were monitored in real time, the voice actors also provided professional suggestions, which helped the Japanese lines sound even more natural.

One voice actress even became so fond of a side character that they asked if more scenes could be added in the future.
“For me, it was incredibly moving that the voice actors themselves fell in love with the characters.”

When asked about their proudest moment, FoxSister didn’t hesitate: it was during testing, when they saw the characters’ animations combined with the voice performances.
“At that moment, the characters truly came alive.”

They hope players can experience different perspectives of life through the game.
“In reality, we can only live our own lives, but in games, people can try out different identities and ways of thinking.”[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]FoxSister is both a game producer and a cosplayer.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p]10/3 Update
Originally, the top section featured my personal cosplay photo, but the publisher was concerned that having a real-life photo on the game’s news page might cause the game to be taken down (even if the photo contained no adult content). The publisher informed me that Steam allows producer photos on the news page, so I’ve put my cosplay photo back.[/p][p]However, the more revealing one might risk getting the publisher banned (as you know, DEI policies are quite sensitive now), so that one will remain only on IG and Twitter.[/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Development Experience with ACG Creator[/h2][p]The entire development took nearly three years. At first, the Producer still took freelance jobs, but gradually shifted to full-time development.
“I used to work in marketing, but no matter how well it sold, I was always just promoting someone else’s product. With game development, I can pour everything into my own work.”

They chose ACG Creator because it saves a huge amount of development time.
“Traditional tools require programming, which consumes a lot of energy. But with ACG Creator, I can focus on the script, gameplay, and art direction, putting time into the most important parts of creation.”

As a result, Sex Change Contract and Molester Girl sold over 22,000 copies on Steam within a week of release. For a solo-developed title, it was a major achievement.
For beginners interested in game development, FoxSister advised:
“Start with simple small games, have people around you playtest them, and confirm whether you truly have the passion. Don’t jump straight into large-scale commercial development, as it consumes enormous resources.”[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Future Plans and Closing Thoughts[/h2][p]FoxSister revealed that both a sequel and a new project are already planned, and they will continue in the same shared universe.
The sequel will follow Beryl’s adventures in a new continent, while another project, King in Yellow: Endless Sex Drama, will feature a brand new heroine — Sister Laurentia — offering gameplay and experiences completely different from the current work.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]From novel to game, FoxSister poured over a decade of passion and persistence into reinterpreting their youthful creations in a more mature form.

Gameplay Experience Improvements – Version 1.3.1 Update!

[p][/p][p]Hello players, this is FoxSister.[/p][p]Since the game’s release, I’ve been actively listening to the community’s feedback. Based on your requests and the overall game design, here are the updates in this version:[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h3]\[Gameplay Optimization][/h3][p]Endless Mode[/p]
  • [p]When entering a bad ending, you will now see a prompt allowing you to decide whether or not to proceed.[/p]
[p]True Ending[/p]
  • [p]After clearing the true ending, you may now refuse Nene’s invitation in a new playthrough.[/p]
[p]Standard Game[/p]
  • [p]If there is a risk of overwork, the protagonist will now give a warning before carrying out the schedule.[/p]
  • [p]Virgin protagonists can now trigger the Kyabakura work storyline.[/p]
  • [p]When asking the teacher to cure the “Host Obsession” state, the host will no longer disappear from the contact list.[/p]

[hr][/hr][p][/p][p]We first improved the popular Endless Mode. Since many players approach this mode in a more relaxed way, it was easy to overlook stats and unintentionally fall into a bad ending. Now, if that happens, you can use the prompt to return to normal play.[/p][p]In Standard Mode, if the protagonist risks overwork (low stamina or high stress), you’ll now see a warning message. This should reduce the burden of constant stat management.[/p][p]For the Kyabakura route, we noticed that many players wanted more options while keeping the protagonist a virgin. So now you can work at the Kyabakura without losing virginity. Additionally, many felt the “Host Obsession” state was too annoying, so we added multiple ways to cure it to increase freedom of play.[/p][p]Also, when asking the teacher to cure the “Host Obsession,” the host will no longer be removed from the contact list, preserving the option to call him for H-events later.[/p][p]Regarding the Book of Eibon, after reviewing both player feedback and the text, I realized there was no real justification for it to force virginity loss. Therefore, this event has been removed.[/p][p]Finally, the status window’s “first partner” display has been corrected. Originally, I only prepared four possible first-time scenarios, each with unique storylines. But players found creative ways to lose virginity outside these four, so the system now properly recognizes them.[/p][p]Note: For the Train Molester scene and the Pink-Haired Convenience Store scene, the protagonist will still remain a virgin (the former may avoid penetration depending on angle, and the latter is due to “tiny size” setting). This way, virgins can still trigger these events for added fun.[/p][p]Thank you all for continuing to provide feedback and making this game an even better experience![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Note: This update was originally scheduled for release last week, but since it addresses new community requests — specifically enhancing the multi-playthrough experience — it required modifications to the core scripts. This made the update particularly challenging. I worked with the publisher’s technical team for quite some time to complete it, even waking up at dawn yesterday to run additional tests.[/p][p]At this stage, some players may encounter a minor issue where certain small changes related to the multi-playthrough system may not trigger precisely. However, please don’t worry: all original game content remains fully playable. These small changes mainly exist to make the game friendlier to new players and slightly reduce the difficulty. All support features for existing players are already functioning as intended.[/p][p]Once the publisher’s technical department helps us pinpoint the Unity issue, another update will be released to ensure all content is fully consistent for every player.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p]★9/26 Update[/p][p]The Unity save issue has now been fixed. From this version onward, both new and returning players should be able to correctly trigger the newly added multi-playthrough changes.[/p]
