CATO: Buttered Cat News

The cat-themed platform puzzle game, CATO has launched a new demo version on Steam and announced its participation in Steam Next Fest this June. In the latest trailer, the game showcases brand-new gameplay mechanics, introducing exciting new toys such as the Butter Springboard, Speedy Cat Strips, and even a "UFO." Additionally, new-level designs currently in development are unveiled for the first time.

Currently, CATO offers a demo version on Steam that takes approximately one hour of playtime. As players progress through the levels, they will unlock new mechanics closely tied to the game's theme, including Cat Scratch Boards, Cloud Walls, and Toasters. With the upcoming Steam Next Fest, more previews of the full version of the content will be shared, along with the announcement that CATO is set to release it this fall. Stay tuned!



During the Steam Next Fest, CATO will feature a developer live stream and guest playthrough sessions. The livestream will kick off at 9:00 AM on June 11 and will be rebroadcast throughout the festival. If you miss the live stream, you can watch the replay anytime on the Steam store page. In CATO, the main content revolves around solving puzzles with a touch of action. The game features a fragmented story collection and fun mini-games to keep things interesting. Hello! We are Team Woll, the developers of the perpetual motion puzzle platformer game CATO. We're excited to announce that CATO will be featured in the Steam June Festival! During the Steam Next Fest, we will be live-streaming a playthrough of the latest demo of CATO. To add a little(hopefully not too much) extra challenge, we'll be playing through mirrored versions of our levels. We hope this won't lead to any on-air mishaps. Additionally, we'll be sharing some of our daily development routines.



The complete live stream of the Next Fest will be divided into three parts. The first part will feature us playing together . The second part will include exciting highlights of three other mystery guests playing CATO. In the third part, we will share some of our daily development work routines. Supervisors are welcome to join us.

Our live stream will begin at 6:00 P.M. CST (PT) on Jun 10th and will be on a loop throughout the festival. You can always watch the replay on our store page if you miss the live steam. Be sure to subscribe to the live stream in advance and add CATO to your wishlist!

Compared to the initial GameJam version, we've made significant art enhancements, with more polished levels and refined mechanics.



In this cute platform puzzle game, you'll need to multitask by controlling both the cat and the buttered toast separately or combine them to roll and float in the air. Use their unique traits to solve puzzles at each level.



The full version is currently in active development, and we are excited to bring you more fun mechanics and challenging puzzles in the future, so stay tuned!
