Hi, Alex from Polygon Treehouse here.

I love playing games on the Steam Deck, in fact it's my go-to way of playing games on Steam. Because of this it's been really important to make sure our own game is working well on the device!



Whilst Mythwrecked is not officially Deck verified just yet, we're happy to report our own findings:-

• The game was built from the ground up with the Steam Deck as the benchmark way to play
  
• The game runs great, not breaking a sweat at 60FPS
• All text is very readable
• Steam Deck specific button icons are shown on screen for any UI

I was actually interested in Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island because it kind of feels like not a lot of games feature Greek mythology anymore. Back in the 2000s, it seemed like Zeus and his pals were everywhere until I guess Kratos killed them so hard, that he removed them from the industry—maybe with the exception of Hades…the game, not the guy.

So not only was I intrigued to see a return of these legendary characters, but in a way that didn’t involve invoking their powers for the sake of combat. Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island tries something a little different and results in an interesting little experience—albeit a bit underwhelming.

Players take on the role of Alex, a young woman who decides she needs a break from life and sets out to a remote island in search of adventure and disconnection. [h3]RELEASE DATE REVEALED![/h3]
Hi everyone, Alex here! Yesterday we revealed Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island's release date as part of the opening broadcast of Cozy Quest 2024. I'm stoked to say the game will be out in the wild on DECEMBER 5TH, 2024! So in just a few short weeks we look forward to welcoming you to the shore of Ambrosia Island.

It's been a long road to get here, taking part in many events, winning awards and listening to feedback to make Mythwrecked a modern adventure game to remember. We really appreciate all the support we've gotten along the way, so thanks very much folks.


[h3]COZY QUEST DEMO IMPROVEMENTS[/h3]
As you might have seen, Mythwrecked was part of the Official Selection for Cozy Quest 2024. We took the opportunity to address some player feedback in our Demo. Alex can now explore and interact with things a little more at the very start of the demo and you can now also choose to play in French, German and LATAM Spanish! There's also some art and animation polish and bug fixes in their too!

We're stoked to reveal that Mythwrecked has been picked to be part of the Official Selection for Cozy Quest 2024!

It's an event organized by Secret Mode games to celebrate cozy games of all shapes and sizes so it's a perfect fit for our game and its story of befriending the long-lost Greek gods.

So mark your calendars for the coziest event of the year, featuring over 140 cozy games, sales, developer interviews, and livestreams running from November 14th-18th
