Fan Content is back!

Realmers!

As you are all aware I have been reworking several of our Community programs over the past months. One program that was still missing from this list was the reactivation of the Fancontent program.

In the past, we offered players a chance to send in their own creations for pretty much any kind of asset.

Due to a lot of restructuring within DECA itself and also the Realm Team, this topic unfortunately was not fully overviewed. While the Forms themselves were live for this program, the evaluation of the content was not done due to a different focus for the teams.

Now that we are more structured in regard to our programs, we are reopening the Fan Content Form officially again. This gives you the opportunity to maybe see your own creation in Realm of the Mad God. Please keep in mind that we can never guarantee that something will be added to the game.

A very important note. If you did send in anything since April 2022, the chances of it being reviewed and evaluated are very low. We highly recommend sending your content once again and we can sort through it.

Rewards wise nothing will change. Your Asset will be credited to your IGN, you will receive the Item and additional 2000 Gold. Players who send in several assets and have them added to the game will have a chance to get the Artist Extraordinaire Skins. Please keep in mind that we don't have a fixed number of assets that are required for this.

You can find out everything you need to know about the Fancontent Form on our official website: https://remaster.realmofthemadgod.com/?page_id=1835

There you can find the requirements to send in different kinds of Assets. Since we had this issue before, the “date” field of the form is the current date, not your date of birth.

Update: 3.4.0.0 - New STs and Void Event

Realmers!

Another update is coming your way! You were able to test some of it already last week during our Public Testing session and now it's time to enjoy the changes and new things. Let’s welcome the new ST Sets for the Archer and Wizard to the game.

Additionally, we are starting the long-awaited second alliteration of the Void Event. A new STory also finds its way into the game: A Steamwork STory. The Nexus will be decorated in a Void Theme. Let's have a look at all the changes on our blog!

Update 3.3.8.0 – Season 6 Arrives

Realmers!

It's time for the next update. The current season is coming to an end which means the next one is just around the corner. We are also taking the O3 changes (that you already tested during our public testing session) live. A new season means a new Battle Pass and a new set of Missions. You can find all information about them on our blog.

Public Testing: Steamworks 10

Hello Realmers,

In this week’s public testing, you will have the opportunity to see a glimpse of our new feature - Dungeon Difficulties.

We have already explained briefly, but for those who missed it - This is a new system we will be introducing to stretch the lifetime of dungeons in a player’s journey. It will offer veteran players a chance to push their limits and seek out greater rewards, such as engravings.
Difficulty 10 Steamworks

We will introduce the new difficulty dungeons gradually and Steamworks will be the first dungeon to get a more difficult version.

For simplicity, we will call the harder version of Steamworks - Difficulty 10 Steamworks. The goal is to be of a similar level to the Shatters once the work on it is completed.

Difficulty 10 Steamworks consists of a 15 % increase in the HP of all enemies and a 25 % increase in the damage of projectiles. On top of this, you will see various changes to the behaviors of enemies, obstacles and a new survival phase at the end of the Boss fight.

This will be the first of a few Public Testing and it’s important to understand that this is still a work in progress so your feedback will be appreciated and help to shape the feature!

Some of our next dungeons on the list for getting new harder versions are Nest, Lost Halls, and Fungal Cavern.

We anticipate launching this system prior to the Realm Rework, but it should truly shine once the Realm Rework is in effect. Until then, we plan for encounters to drop both Normal and Harder versions for the newly revised dungeons with higher difficulty tiers. A new key will also be introduced for the Difficulty 10 versions of these dungeons.

When the system is fully developed, a lot of the dungeons can have more than just the base difficulty. Some of them can have an easier or harder setting, or perhaps both. The system will be complimentary to Realm Rework and you will be able to find different difficulty-level dungeons in different parts of the realm. This way, you can choose the level of challenge that suits your skill and mood!

As part of this Public Testing, we invite you to explore the following portals in Nexus: the Difficulty 10 Steamworks and the Difficulty 10 Steamworks Boss Room. Enjoy and let us know your thoughts!

Public Testing: New Season

Testing Realmers!

It has been some weeks since the last public testing session. With the current Season coming to an end soon, it is time to look at the next one coming up in a short while. This weekend you will be able to have a first look at the new Battle Pass, the new Missions (including a new mission type where you can choose the reward), and quests. We are also going to introduce a new Seasonal Spoils (chest) to the game. Stay tuned.

Seasonal Spoils (chest)
As most of you are aware, we had some serious issues with the database load in the past, resulting in issues like the Vault bug. In order to lower the risk of such problems in the future, we are introducing a new Gift Chest to the game. This new Seasonal Spoils (chest) will appear after the end of a season and will hold all your seasonal items when they get transferred. The items will be stored in the chest until the next season ends. After that, they will be deleted, which means you have several months time to move all your items over to your regular Vault. While we understand that not everyone likes to lose some items, it is necessary to go forward with this to ensure that we can lower the risk of potential issues in the future.

TLDR:
Season 1 Ends -> Items go to Seasonal Gift Chest -> Season 2 Starts -> Items in Seasonal Gift Chest are available until Season 2 Ends -> Season 2 Ends, all Season 1 Items in the Seasonal Gift Chest get deleted -> Season 2 Items get moved into Seasonal Gift Chest.
To test this feature, we will have 2 seasons running over the weekend. One will already be active when you access the servers, the other will be active on Saturday until Monday.

For a full list of upcoming features, have a look at our Blog.
