Realmers!

This weekend we have something a little bit different coming up on our testing servers. As some of you might remember from our Producer Letter earlier this year, we are still working on our Seasonality feature.

This weekend you will be able to test Seasonal Characters. In order to fully test this feature we will have two different seasons active. The first starts today on Friday and lasts until Saturday noon. Once the first season is over, season 2 will start five minutes later and last until Monday 6 AM UTC. In order to make testing easier, we reduced the amount of BXP needed for the Battlepass on our Testing Server.

Per design, you won't be able to purchase the exalted pass in the last 24 hours of the season.

[h3]Seasonal Characters[/h3]

Seasonal Characters are a new way to play RotMG. When you create a new character, you can choose to make them ‘Seasonal'.

The end of the month is approaching and this means we are ready to celebrate Halloween! Additionally, you might now be able to access our newest dungeon in Realm of the Mad God. The Sulfurous Wetlands created by MOONSHOOT! Make sure to enter the dungeon with the right attire and don't get yourself wet.

[h3]Nexus and God Reskins[/h3]

Our Nexus once again received a Reskin that fits more to the theme of Halloween. Additionally, some of our gods got hit by loose spells and transformed into their alter egos.

[h3]Sulfurous Wetlands Dungeon[/h3]

As a branch fell into the water, a faint sizzle played. Sinking deeper and deeper into the murky depths, the branch remained intact, almost as if it yearned to ingrain itself at the bottom of the acidic bog. After a short wait, it hit the mire's floor, becoming one of the many interconnected pieces of the warped puzzle. The sphere of influence grew for the now dormant heart. Solitude across the generations has led to only involuntary expansion. The failure of a curse, the madness spawned from the desire for power, both culminated to this endpoint.

Suddenly, a new energy emerged seemingly out of nowhere. The roots of the once beloved willow tree rustled beneath the muddied earth, almost as if it was reaching out to reclaim the days of old.
Welcome to the Sulfurous Wetlands.

The Wetlands will be dropping from a new godlands mob: The Grand Dragonfly, with its availability being akin to mobs such as the Sting Spider, Corsair Crab, and Great Owl. It shares a similar difficulty level as the counterparts above and aims to give the area another challenging yet rewarding experience.

[h3]Halloween Event[/h3]

Let's start the Halloween season off with some Realm Events. From the 25th of October, until the 8th of November the Totalia is guaranteed in the realm 3 times. You will receive 1 Black Petunia and Raven Feather per kill.
Additionally, the Zombie Horde is guaranteed in the realm and appears after the Cyclops Gods are killed.

A bunch of Chest Events will come over the next 2 weeks. The loot will be posted every time an event starts on the official Realm Discord and on our social media channels. Additionally, every final boss of a dungeon event will drop 1 Token.

• Updated the Credits of the game
  
• Added Hidden Interregnum to the list of completion dungeons in preparation for future appearances.
  
• The Shatters Rehearsal items have had their Feed Power adjusted to 900 FP.
  
• Fixed a visual glitch on Reef and Puppet Master’s Encore “Solo” keys.
  
• Adjusted the tooltip of the Voodoo Doll Pet Skin.
  
• The Dungeon Mods “Elite Boss” and “Tough Boss” (which affected HP and DEF of the boss) cannot appear now in exaltation dungeons that appear in the realm.
  
• The exception is The Nest, which can still generate them.
  
• Key refining is unaffected and you can still get these mods.
  
• The Unity Support Gravestones should now be automatically unlocked in the Wardrobe.

Time is running and we are getting closer to the end of the year. Recently Month of the Mad God ended and also our Back to School Event found its end. Now its time to jump into the Shatters Rehearsal Event! Fight our three Shatters Bosses separately, learn their mechanics and receive some of the new loot! You can find out everything you need to know about the Shatters Rehearsal, new ST Sets, Battlepass Season 2 and so much more down below.

[h2]Shatters Rehearsal[/h2]

We know some of our players might want to learn Shatters, but find learning not one but three bosses a bit overwhelming. Thinking of them, we have decided to create the Rehearsal Dungeon Mods for Shatters.
Rehearsal mods cannot be accessed normally nor through key refining. For the moment you will be able to access these mods during special event periods like the one described below.

[h2]The Rehearsal Dungeon Modifiers:[/h2]

They allow you to enter a portion of Shatters where you will fight one of the three bosses. The rest of the dungeon is not accessible in a Rehearsal version.

This bossfight is a modified version, its difficulty scaling is reduced from the regular Shatters and has the following modifiers across all enemies in the shatters.

1. 20% reduce damage
   
2. 15% less health
   
3. The loot of the bossfight is altered from the regular Shatters.
   

[h2]Shatters Rehearsal Loot[/h2]

The regular loot from the Shatters will not drop from a Rehearsal Version. Instead, the Rehearsal Shatters have a chance of dropping Rehearsal version of the items. These items have similar mechanics, and albeit powerful on their own, they aren’t as powerful as their “true” counterparts from the regular Shatters.

It has been a while since our last Public Testing session! But now the time has arrived and it's a big one. We are going to test several upcoming features and events. Additionally, even a completely new dungeon that you can fully test on Sunday!

Summer is coming to an end, which means that school is starting soon again or already started for some people! We are going to enable three different Chest Events to “celebrate” going back to school.You can find out more about the loot below.
Back to School Event

This event features three different Chest Events. If you happen to be a History major, you can visit the “Manor of Immortals”. Some of the lecturers there have lived a really long time. For the Biology majors we’ve prepared “The Parasite Chambers”, the place is full of specimens to examine. And last but not least, for the Drama majors, we have “Puppet Master's Theatre”. Just please try to not break a leg literally, there is no insurance.

All of them are starting on the 9th of September at 12:00 AM UTC until the 15th of September at 12:00 AM UTC, you will be able to open a chest after the bosses of the following dungeons.
