Will you miss the “old versions” of The Crawling Depths, Woodland Labyrinth, and Deadwater Docks? Well, you’ve seen by now that those dungeons are getting reconstructed very soon. Still, we wanted to give you a chance to say goodbye with the “Into Shards and Pieces” event. For that, we brought back Agent of Oryx Shards!

[h2]Into Shards and Pieces event:[/h2]
The choice weapons and armors of Oryx’s elite were available for heroes to claim for a brief window long ago. But they have long since been forgotten to time, with Oryx in no hurry to put them in your hands again. That time is over! For now, you have another chance at assembling the items needed to don yourself in sets of the Agents of Oryx.

[h2]Introducing Rune Fame Boxes[/h2]
We heard your concerns about the scarcity of runes and the issues it raises on O3 runs. While we are looking and experimenting on better ways to solve the issues presented by our community, we would like to share with you that during three weeks, you'll have three chances to trade your fame for runes.



Once per account, and per week, you'll be able to trade 5000, 15000 and 40000 fame for Rune Fame boxes. You will get one of the three runes, or if you are lucky, all of the three.

[h2]Upcoming Public Testing:[/h2]
Our testing servers will be open to the public during this weekend so that you can experience our upcoming release. We will share more information on this on Friday, the 13th.

P.S. - We apologize for starting the Shield Rune Unlock a bit later than what was announced. This time WE locked the accountable person inside of Oryx’s wine cellar. We’ll eventually get him out.

The security around Oryx’s Sanctuary has been getting lax… Has someone been sabotaging Oryx at the height of his power? Over the following weeks, different Rune unlocks will rotate and increase the traffic of loot-hungry adventurers into the heart of Oryx’s domain…

• Fixed a problem of item dropping on the ground when Vault UI is on. (Please take into account that this prevents item disappearance and Customer Support will no longer provide items claimed to have been lost this way).
  

• Forax, Katalund, Malogia and Untaris Keys no longer have a restriction to be opened in Guild Hall or Vault and can now be opened from anywhere.

Hello Scary Realmers,

Be afraid. Be VERY afraid. This release brings all those spooky events and skins this time of the year asks for.
And have you seen the scary tokens our community created? Check them in the post below.
You’ll also notice that there are some dungeons giving double loot, so don’t let it go to waste! Everything’s worth pilling up when you’re trick or treating.
Oh, and “one more thing”: on Friday we’ll have more news for you about another event… so stay as sharp… as a scythe.

• Updated the Nexus with its Halloween version
• The reskinned Cube God, Skull Shrine, Ghost Ship, Grand Sphinx and Hermit God are also here to scare greet you. For the duration of the Halloween events, they will drop the reskinned versions of their respective event whites.

• Added a Maintenance Mode. The Start/Update button will be covered with the “The servers are currently under Maintenance. An update will be available soon!” message.

[h2]Oryx's Sanctuary Rune Unlocks[/h2]

From 10/20 - 12:00 PM UTC until 10/28 - 12:00 PM UTC, all runes will be unlocked, giving free access to O3!

The sinister portal to the Sanctuary has not opened for a simple reason, however. Not believing he can ever be defeated, Oryx the Exalted God will give up the dearest treasures of the Sanctuary for those who can bring him down. The high risk of this event will bring a higher reward than usual, and namely:

Hello Realmers,

We have been working hard to fix the latest issues. Apart from fixing a bug that temporarily allowed duping of items, as well as making amendments to prevent server crashes and disconnections, we were also able to implement the following fixes and improvements:

• Fixed a glitch that prevented swapping items in certain Vault slots
  
• The Premium Vault now displays the correct amount of slots taken when quickly using potions and upon moving potions from your inventory to the Premium Vault
  
• Fixed an issue with swapping items from the Gift Chest to the inventory
  
• The Gift Chest counter now updates immediately when moving an item to your inventory
  
• Spamming a hotkey for item consumption no longer uses more than the necessary amount of the consumed item
  
• Purchasing Premium Vault space now works properly during server disconnections
  
• Fixed an issue with stacking items in the Vault and moving them to the Inventory
  
• Consuming a Loot Booster from the floor would no longer cause a disconnection
  

And now onto the main topic!



Despite possessing hundreds of loyal minions and allies, it’s still lonely at the top for Oryx. Unfortunately for the Mad God, he’s not known for his heartfelt romantics, so he focused his pursuit for companionship on pets instead. Of course, all of the typical pets in the realm are decidedly NOT on Oryx’s side of the battle. This left him with no other option but to contact Dr. Terrible for another favor.

Putting his biological expertise to use, the doctor engineered a fiercely loyal lifeform tailored specifically to Oryx’s unique lifestyle (and complete inability to care for a pet). Tucked away in the castle laboratory, this aberrant abomination remotely feeds off of Oryx’s eternal rage. Such an unconventional choice of sustenance has led to more than a few side effects…

Introducing High Tech Terror! This brand new boss dungeon pits you against the F.E.R.A.L., a creature who was once cut content from the Mad Lab and now returns as a fully original encounter! You’ll need to use the classic green and blue vats to your advantage to make this otherwise invincible beast vulnerable. As you do, you’ll contend with some of the craziest shot patterns you’ve seen yet, even including laser blasts!

This flexible fight allows for a lot of agency in how you interact with the arena and limit the boss’s options, so think ahead! The attacks of both the boss and his minions get tougher as the fight progresses, and guiding the creature to more favorable positions can prove life-saving. Those who are victorious may get their hands on some powerful and eccentric new items!

Note that High Tech Terror has a player cap of 25, compared to the current standard of 65. For this reason, the Court of Oryx will temporarily create TWO High Tech Terror portals to accommodate larger numbers of people visiting Craig to seek it out.
