The new year began and we are starting it with a bang. Our first Public Testing session this year will introduce you to a new upcoming dungeon from Mizumi (and more as you will find out). In order to fully test and understand the dungeon, you will find portals to it in the Nexus. The new UTs that will drop from the dungeon can be found in the in-game Shop. The game version also includes updates to Unity, so if you find any visual bugs or issues, please report them to us. The PT ends on Monday at 9 AM CET. Let's give the stage to Mizumi.

Last week we updated you on the progress on the Seasonal Gratitude Event. Now it's time to reveal if you, as a community, were able to beat our objectives or if the Marble Colossus was able to stay strong.
Additionally, we are launching our first in-game Leaderboard Event today! Go check out all the information about that down below.
“Seasonal Gratitude” Event

Well it shouldn't be a surprise but the community was able to beat all 3 Objectives on their Seasonal Characters! This means that you have earned one week of free O3, and O3 chest event and every player that contributed to the objective will be granted the new Chibi Oryx Pet Skin!

Let's have a look at what you were able to archive.

Objective 1: Required 12750 Points to complete, you were able to collect 13054 Points. That's 102% of the goal.

Objective 2: Required 8500 Points to complete, you were able to collect 16690 Points. That's 196% of the goal.

Objective 3: Required 4675 Points to complete, you were able to collect 7230 Points. That's 155% of the goal.

The O3 event is going live today at 12 UTC and will end on the 12th of December at 12 UTC.

Another weekend, another time to test out new features. This time you will once again be able to test the Seasonal Characters and another small surprise (read below)!

[h3]Bleed Cap Removal[/h3]

With the rework of the Bleeding condition alongside the Warrior set, a maximum ‘bleed cap’ of 1% was added to all bosses and gods. This would prevent them from losing more than 1% of their maximum health per second, regardless of the number of applied Bleed Stacks. It was a step added to make sure that nobody was able to suddenly bleed Oryx to death through the new system, causing significant balance issues. However, it also meant that bleeding weapons used on lower-level bosses would do less damage. IE - a boss with only 900 HP would bleed a maximum of 9 points per second, while one with 90,000 hit by the same weapon could bleed for 900 per second.
As a result of reviewing the situation, the bleed cap for all entities has been removed. They will now default to 50% of their maximum life, which is a hard-coded value to prevent things from getting too out of hand.

[h3]Leaderboards[/h3]

Surprise! Let us introduce another new feature that will change the Event landscape in the near future. Leaderboards! Ever wondered who is the fastest in clearing a Dungeon? Well now is the time to find out. We will activate the first Leaderboard for Wetlands with this testing session. Try your best to beat the Heart of the Wetlands and be fast with it! In order to make this easier for you, we have placed portals to the dungeon in the Nexus.

You have tested them in the past weeks and now it's time to enjoy them on our live servers. Seasonal Characters arrive in Realm of the Mad God! Keep in mind that Missions are not quite ready yet but will come in the very near future. Additionally, we have prepared an Event for you to chase to unlock some perks. But you have to play a seasonal character to take part in them!

Seasonal Characters

Seasonal Characters are characters which apply special rules for the duration of a season. Rules will be described before each new season.
Seasons have a defined start and end date that also will regulate Battlepass as part of our Seasonality feature.

Players will be able to create a regular character or use a seasonal one.
After the season is over, the character is automatically converted to a regular one.



Seasonal Characters get a permanent +10% BXP bonus during the whole season. This means that, while you cannot equip gear obtained in the past, your progress is accelerated when playing them. This feature is however under development and will come at a later point.

Also, one of the most interesting aspects of Seasonal Characters is their exclusive access to Missions, another upcoming feature that will allow your Seasonal Characters to do certain tasks and obtain unique rewards and BXP, only available for the season. Regular characters cannot participate in missions though!
