Event: Back to School



Realmers!

Summer is coming to an end, which means that school is starting soon again or already started for some people! We are going to enable three different Chest Events to “celebrate” going back to school.You can find out more about the loot below.
Back to School Event

This event features three different Chest Events. If you happen to be a History major, you can visit the “Manor of Immortals”. Some of the lecturers there have lived a really long time. For the Biology majors we’ve prepared “The Parasite Chambers”, the place is full of specimens to examine. And last but not least, for the Drama majors, we have “Puppet Master's Theatre”. Just please try to not break a leg literally, there is no insurance.

All of them are starting on the 9th of September at 12:00 AM UTC until the 15th of September at 12:00 AM UTC, you will be able to open a chest after the bosses of the following dungeons.

[h3]Syndicate Infiltration Top 10,000[/h3]

Last Tuesday our Community Event ended and you guys smashed it! It is now time to announce the Top 10,000 players* who should have already received their rewards. If you have placed under rank 10 000 on the official leaderboard but you think you are missing rewards, please reach out to our Customer Support Team. Let's have a look at the rewards.

*Since several people managed to get the same amount of points, we actually have 10,177 Winners!

Update 3.0.2.0 - End of MotMG



Realmers!

It is time to ring the bells for the end of the Month of the Mad God! We all enjoyed weeks full of events and fighting the Syndicate. We have received a lot of feedback regarding the Interregnum event and the Mercenaries fights. More on how we will proceed with this event in the future down below. Also, don't forget to turn in your Marks and Black Coins! We are extending the time you can turn them in, but after that they will not have any use.

[h3]Vindication[/h3]

Mercenaries have been removed from the Realm, they can still appear in dungeons as a dungeon mod. You can use your Interregnum Keys that you still have left anywhere, new keys do not drop for now. Here is a detailed overview of the changes:


  • Mercenaries do not spawn in the realm anymore.
  • Mercenaries can still spawn in dungeons but now they have a dungeon mod which will be randomly selected from the regular pool of dungeon mods available. All of them are Grade A mods and they can appear in:
  • “Pirate Queen Ramm” can appear in Forbidden Jungle, The Hive, Ancient Ruins, Sprite World, and Snake Pit.
  • “Izel the Grand Shaman” can appear in Puppet Master’s Theatre, Undead Lair, Mad Lab, Abyss of Demons, Haunted Cemetery.
  • “Nefret the Pharaoh” can appear in Parasite Chambers, Woodland Labyrinth, Deadwater Docks, Mountain Temple, The Third Dimension.
  • “Black Blade Ozuchi” can appear in Fungal Cavern, Crystal Cavern, The Nest, Cultist Hideout, The Void, Lost Halls, The Shatters.
  • The Shady Vagrant does not appear anymore in the Quest Room nor in the realm.
  • Black Coins won’t drop anymore.
  • Interregnum Keys can be used without the Shady Vagrant being near.
  • New Interregnum Keys, for now, are not available. We plan to give access to Interregnum again in the future as part of special temporary events.


[h3]About Interregnum Marks and Black Coins[/h3]

If you have a Hidden Interregnum Key or stacks of Black Coins, we suggest you trade them for rewards at the Tinkerer as you won’t be able to use it.

The Shady Vagrant has left the nexus and the realm, satisfied by your work. We suggest you use this time to exchange your unused Black Coins and Interregnum Marks as you won’t be able to use them anymore for the foreseeable future. While it’s possible we bring the event back at some point, we probably won’t use the same mechanic.

For that, we are extending the time of the quests by 1 week.

We suggest not keeping these items as they won’t be usable in the foreseeable future.

[h3]Free Pack[/h3]

The following pack will be available in the shop for all players starting from today, until the 13th of September. The pack is a reward for not only reaching the goal for the Syndicate Infiltration Event, but surpassing it with a whopping 206.232 points!



As for the Top 10 000 Infiltrators, there was definitely some steep competition for top placements. Before sending out the rewards, we would need a few days to verify the final results, make sure everything is correct. Once we have the final placements and all rewards have been sent to your Gift Chests, we’ll make sure to inform you via our usual socials

[h3]Other[/h3]
  • Quest Chests will now drop new weapons UTs.
  • Shatters' Archmage will be immune to Dazed status effect.
  • The Nexus is back to its old version.


[h3]Fixes[/h3]

  • Some sheaths and lutes were incorrectly tagged which interfered with the loot system in some cases, altering their drop chances in some particular enemies. This has been fixed.
  • The Lightshow Scepter was missing a label, which meant it could not be used to forge an ST Ability in the forge. This has been fixed.
  • Changed Ice Cave’s Inner Cave map to avoid the very infrequent bug where a player could become stuck in the wall.
  • Visual fixes on several icons, particularly some lore books.
  • Fixed an issue with the Dye Mask on the Tidal Wave Kensei Skin.
  • Resolved an Issue with an Error Message appearing when claiming all milestones in the Battlepass.
  • The limit for player names was increased from 10 to 15.
  • Modded Keys now display the percentage of value of chance to generate a particular mod.
  • The daevite progenitor is now receiving the 150% boost when using the flames of genesis.
  • Fixed a visual issue with XP Boosts when changing characters.
  • The Burial Blades tooltip now only shows the info about 2 Bullets not 3.
  • Fixed an issue with the Frost Ronin Samurai Skin Sprites.


[h3]Known Issue[/h3]

  • When using a booster the Icon showing the time left on the booster will not appear.



Community Event - Syndicate Infiltration



Realmers!

Month of the Mad God is still running wild now that Act 3 has started! We decided to start a Community Event where you, the players, work together to reach a milestone. Additionally, you will fight to reach the Top 10000 for even more rewards.

[h2]Event[/h2]

Starting on the 25th of August at 12:00 UTC until the maintenance mode on the 6th of September starts you will be able to collect points toward a community goal. You will be able to review your progress on our Infiltration Leaderboards which will update every day. You can find the Leaderboards here.

Your target? All the Mercenaries from the Syndicate are either in the Realm or in the dungeons. You will get 1 point for each Mercenary killed, regardless if the enemy is Izel the Great Shaman or Nefret the Pharaoh.

The goal for the community? Reach 800000 points combined as a Team.

Update: Battlepass Adjustments



Realmers!

We would like to share an update with all of you regarding the Battlepass launched with the MotMG. As we initially stated, this is a first for us and we have been carefully monitoring it over the past two weeks. Additionally you can have a look at the Chest Event Content for the Void and the Cultist Hideout which are starting today!

[h2]Battlepass[/h2]

Based on the feedback we received and the data we were able to collect and analyze, we are planning on a first optimization with these new points to reach (see table below).
We would also like to point out that the level 76 of the Battlepass is the full completion point. The three higher levels are to be considered as extra and won't need to be completed for the Battlepass to be considered done.

Update 3.0.1.0 - Adjustments

Month of the Mad God is running wild and for this week’s update, we had a look into the ongoing issues you reported. We resolved several issues from feeding pets that are really in need of some food and adjustments were made to the Interregnum fight.

Also, don't forget to have a look at the Month of the Mad God News to keep yourself up to date with the next upcoming events!

We also did not forget about the ongoing Vault Issue. The Team is still working very hard on this problem. Unfortunately, Database related issues are tricky and we have to make sure that a potential fix for this issue doesn't mess around with your accounts.

[h2]Interregnum Improvements[/h2]
  • Wanderer: Quiet AoE has been extended to all phases.
  • Wanderer: Shadows should no longer hang around too long after weirdchase.
  • Wanderer: Fixed a problem where she didn’t move back to the center before the final attack.
  • Wanderer: Shapes Ring was slightly too big.
  • Wanderer: Fixed issue where wanderer would sometimes create some tiles that increased movement speed.
  • Fixed some broken interactions with Trickster’s ability and certain Interregnum-related items.
  • Pirate Queen’s Brigandine now has its proper 5 dex instead of 4
  • Fixed Desync issue on mercenary portals.
  • Removed duplicate T14 armor drop from Wanderer in the Interregnum
  • Increased drop rate of stat potions from Mercenaries in the Interregnum

  • Cursed and Exposed Effects no longer stay forever on a target.
  • Titles are now automatically claimed after unlocking them from the Battlepass
  • Fixed an issue where specific pets were not able to be fed. They can now get healthy again.
  • Players with 0 Gold are now able to claim the free Titles.
  • Titles no longer show in the Trading window.
  • When called out by enemies, the player title will no longer show.
  • You can now kick players with active titles.
  • Keyper has his original name and is no longer named “Keyper of the Arena”.
  • Dimensional Wanderer Pet got a visual update.
  • Fixed a typo in the Frost Prince Summoner Skin Tooltip.
  • Fixed an issue with the dye mask for the Syndicate Assassin.
  • The Mad Punk Vocalist Bard Skin got new updated sprites.

  • The strip of tiles at the top of the Sewers’ boss room should no longer slow down the player.
  • The warning shots for the Forgotten King roulette phase should now always be visible even when far away during firing.
  • Many incorrectly applied minion labels on LH boss objects should now be fixed.
  • Murderous Megamoth should no longer leave behind a single vomit tile when the knight pattern is used.
  • O3 counter tornado should not have a stacked shot anymore and should behave the same as the non-counter version.
  • The gate to O3 on the Beisa map no longer spawns a tile inwards.
  • Dimitus should now leash near the realm portal and not be able to wander too far into inconvenient places.
  • Leucoryx candles in the dark phase should now properly move into place just like in the light phase.
  • We have changed the sprites on Accelerator consumables. A big thanks to DynamoX for providing part of the sprites.
  • Fixed a problem in the new Nexus map where Wall of Fame could not be accessed properly.
  • The Construction Summoner Skin now has 500 feed power like the rest of the construction skin set.
  • All T7-T9 subweapons should now spawn in a public bag when dropped from your inventory.
  • The T8 Tachi is tradeable now.
  • The T10 Spellblade has its second shot’s damage corrected to 50-65.
  • The dungeon mod version of the Wanderer should now be leashed within 18 tiles of the dungeons exit portal so it cannot be dragged too far through the dungeon.
  • The dungeon mod version of the Wanderer should now have an additional 5 seconds before it spawns and should also wait for any event chests to be gone before spawning.
  • The enemy spawner behind the Archmage boss room has been removed, no more jesters throwing bombs over the wall.
  • Fix for Black Blade Ozuchi throwing beach ball looking grenades.
  • AoE trees in Black Blade Ozuchi Realm fight now have a slight delay before they activate.
  • Fixed the tooltip for Ores and Lore items showing “must be equipped to use”.
  • Fixed an Issue where Lightshow Scepter would not reduce maximum mana while wearing the full set.
  • Fixed an Issue where the tooltips of Valor and Warmonger displayed incorrect stat down values.
  • Corrected the descriptions of several titles to ensure they show how to unlock them properly.
  • Removed unlock requirements on some titles which did not need them.
  • New UTs are now getting properly filtered in the forge.
  • Hama Yumi and Crystallized Worm Spellblade updated to drop in white bag instead of red.
  • Fractal Blades, Burial Blades, Beekeeper’s Flamethrower, Crystallized Worm Spellblades now added to collections for their respective dungeons.
  • The purple parametric bullets from both versions of the wanderer should no longer stack up.
