Hello Curious Realmers,


As promised, we are sharing with you some of our plans for the first quarter of 2021. If you want to take a look at what we did last year, please check our 20 minute (or the 20 second one, if you're really in a hurry) recap video that counted with the help of our content creators.

The biggest release of the year is planned for Month of the Mad God, which this year is planned to take place in August. You can expect some big changes to item and dungeon systems… but before that, in Q1, you can expect:

• Account security improvements;
  
• MANY client polishing changes and bug fixes, including the proximity XP issue;
  
• New ST sets for the Knight and Necromancer;
  
• Dungeon reconstructions of the Sprite World and Deadwater Docks, and perhaps something extra too!;
  
• Releasing one new class. We have three candidates so far… and will be releasing more details soon;
  
• New in-game notification system which will be separated from the chat, similar to how forgefire and blueprint unlocks appear.
  

And remember, this is just what we can reveal by now. There will be a lot more changes. Some of them, highly requested. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we can.

The Oryxmas spirit hasn’t left the building yet, so, after showing you the highlights of 2020, we decided to start the year with a treat: unlocking up Oryx’s Sanctuary from 01/06/21, 12:00 PM UTC until 01/12/21, 12:00 PM UTC

Apart from that, we’ll have chest events running in The Crawling Depths, from 01/06/21, 12:00 PM UTC until 01/10/21, 12:00 PM UTC and on The Shatters, from 01/08/21, 12:00 PM UTC until 01/12/21, 12:00 PM UTC.

We would also like to tell you that, in the days between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, we lowered the shadowmute threshold values. You’ll see more bots, but will get less false positives. We are still working on a way to fight bots in the game, and can assure you that it will be addressing that in the first quarter of 2021.

But maybe we can tell you more on friday, with the return of the friday news post after the holidays.

The Oryxmas season is here in full force! In our largest update since MotMG, we’ve got a Santa’s bag worth of new content to share. The expansive and long-awaited Item Forge, enhanced consumable usage with Quick Slots, three completely remade dungeons, a brand new Cube God dungeon, new godlands foes, a festive campaign for the holiday season, and more still!

Oryxmas is approaching and it’s time to feast! Have you ever wondered what’s in the Superburger? On the Power Pizza? And what exactly is contained in an Atomic Taco? What is the Oryx Cookie even made of? (And please don’t make jokes about Ambrosia…)

This time we are not talking about Item Forge. An unprecedented contest is here for you to show off your cooking skills! Just like playing a game, cooking requires creativity, planning, coordination and mechanical skill.

For this contest, you will create a recipe for one of the Food Items in the game. Write down the steps and ingredients and take a photo of the finished dish along with a note containing your In-Game Name! After that, of course, you’d do well to share it with your friends and family…

The best cooks at DECA will be judging your entrées entries, with street food chef Fidelow as the head judge.
