We are sorry that this update took so long for us, but unfortunately we had quite few bugs as we added Easy Anti-cheat and overhauled more than half of our codebase. However we are happy to announce that the new update 1.2 "Wrecked" is here with new content and requested features! See below the added content & bug fixes.

What's new:

• New map: Wrecked, crashed plane on a deserted island
  
• New weapon: Pistol, move quickly and fire rapidly
  
• New gamemode: Scavenger, ammo is limited and you must collect more from dead enemies/allies
  
• New gamemode: Secure & Survive, round based gamemode where you must secure the cargo drop or eliminate enemy team
  
• 5 new challenges that will give you a total of 10 new cosmetics
  
• Possibility to play without Epic account. It's still possible to link the accounts if you want to.
  
• Teammate spectate mechanic for Secure & Survive gamemode
  
• Added spawn protection
  
• Added Easy Anti-cheat
  
• Added player reporting
  
• Better host migration, now it syncs all your data from previous session
  
• Map vote has now random gamemodes tied to votable maps, but first map will have the current gamemode
  
• Added loading screen after splash screen, now The Riflemen launch faster
  
• Optimized file sizes, now it uses 70% less storage space
  
• Optimized ram usage
  
• Grenades now have short line behind them when thrown
  
• Barrels & landmines can now be exploded with melee weapons
  
• Supply drops now show the weapon that will be received
  
• New background scenery on main menu
  
• New theme music
  

Bug fixes:

• All maps now have correct navmeshes for bots
  
• Fixed match end music not starting always
  
• Sniper scope texture flipped correctly when playing as left handed
  
• Plus many more smaller fixes..
  

Known bugs:

• Canceling Epic Games & Steam accounts linking procedure from main menu will not allow you to relink until restart of The Riflemen
  
• High GPU usage because The Riflemen runs on uncapped frame rate
  
• Map vote won't sometimes sync the votable maps
  
• Vsync toggle won't always work
  
• Splash screen & loading screen can take some time to finish loading

We want to thank you all for playing, having fun, and pushing us even further to make The Riflemen a unique experience.

The game is made by a small team from Finland and it was released in early autumn 2023. With a couple of patches and updates later we have a chance now to celebrate a moment this milestone. BUT the work continues as we have a HUGE update cooking up here...

Not to leak anything major yet, we just can say we have been listening to you all. New game modes? Who knows. No more Epic account? Let's see. New weapons? Boom-boom... ;)

The winter season is here and now you have one last chance to be nice and earn some presents! Complete new limited time challenges (until the 7th of january) and get yourself holiday themed cosmetics. For our premium players there are bonus rewards to claim!
