Improving FPS and simulating the wind on paratroopers' clothes!

New technologies are coming to Enlisted! In the upcoming "Stronger than Steel" update, we are introducing official support for DirectX 12. This has allowed us to support the latest version of FSR 2.0 and opened up the possibility of implementing other new features in the future.

And for console players, there will be an option for "High performance" mode in the graphics settings.

FSR 2.0

In Enlisted, certain upscaling technologies are already available that render the frames at a lower resolution than the game settings and then upscale it to display resolution. This allows for a significant increase in FPS with minimal loss of image detail.

DX12 allowed us to implement FSR 2.0. This upscaling technology from AMD is available for any video card. You can try it by enabling DX12 in the game’s launcher.

High performance mode

In the upcoming update, console owners will be able to try out the new "High performance" graphic preset on previous generation consoles: Xbox One, PS4 and PS4 Pro.

This mode offers similar graphics quality as the "Bare Minimum" mode on PC. This gives a noticeable increase in FPS, up to 60 frames per second. The Xbox One and Playstation® 4 version will run in Full HD, while the Playstation® 4 Pro version will offer a 25% higher resolution, 1800p instead of 1440p.

Simulation of wind affecting soldiers' clothing

We are working on simulating the effect of wind and other external forces on the fabric of your soldiers' clothing. In the upcoming update, you will see the first results on the clothing of paratroopers as they prepare to parachute into battle.

Get ready for the next major Enlisted update, commanders!

Reworking old locations: Walking through frosty Moscow and sultry Tunisia

In Enlisted, we don’t just focus on new maps, but also improve our oldest battlefields. Thanks to our location artists, of course. We continue the tradition with improvements to Moscow and Tunisia - according to our statistics and your feedback.

Near Moscow

The changes here are mostly visual. We’ve brought the location up to our quality standards: more notable landmarks, new roads and a more detailed landscape. But at the same time, there are more hiding places and more attack routes. So it will become more interesting tactically.

By the way, these changes affect both the winter and autumn map with the quarry.

On the sands of Tunisia

No less significant changes make the already detailed Tunisia more diverse. We’ve added several new details and covers to the open areas of the map.

Also, be sure to check out the He 111 that landed on the airfield for repairs.

Combat notes: Battle Rating

This is something every Enlisted commander should know about. We explain in a simple and easy to understand format the rules of balancing battles based on the Battle Rating of your army.

Controllable tail gunners!

Your pursuers in dogfights will not be happy, because in the upcoming major update you will be able to take control of some of your aircraft's defensive weapons and take on those annoying fighter!

After switching to your gunner, you won’t lose control of the aircraft - it will continue to fly on the same course, but you can adjust it with ailerons, elevators, rudders, or by increasing or decreasing the throttle.

In this update, you’ll only be able to switch to your tail gunners - defending you against enemies from the rear of the aircraft. In the future, we plan to expand the choice of turrets you can switch to.

Don't forget to add a gunner to your aircraft's crew to try out this new feature!

Teaching the AI how to handle heavy weapons

We continue to improve the combat skills of our AI-controlled soldiers: with the upcoming update, they will complete their heavy weapons training.

Give me the bazooka and step aside

First of all, this improvement will affect the AI AT Gunners in your squad. After the update, if you give them the order to destroy an enemy vehicle, they will use their AT rifles and rocket launchers, aiming at the most vulnerable parts.

Most importantly - don't run into the line of fire: friendly fire is on.

Mortar support

In some situations, battles may involve actual AI commanders with their own squad of soldiers. This can happen, for example, if a player loses connection to the battle.

Such commanders simply have to be useful to the team! So the mortar squads under their leadership will now be trained to use their specialized weapons - mortars. They will independently target zones where they expect to find enemies and begin their massive shelling. Grab a mortar and try to compete with such commanders in efficiency.
