Anniversary of the M1911’s adoption

113 years ago - on March 29th, 1911 - the U.S. Army formally adopted the M1911 pistol as its standard-issue sidearm.

Over the years of its service, it has become more than just an ordinary pistol - a true legend. Its reliability has been tested by generations of soldiers, and its design still looks very modern to this day. Not to mention, its improved versions and variants using different calibers are still being sold and used by armies around the world! It’s the perfect opportunity to get a unique M1911 for yourself in Enlisted!

Balancing the economy

The economy of the old Enlisted was built in such a way that by the time the player unlocked new campaign levels, he had enough orders in his account to buy weapons and equipment. This was a carefully calculated balance of progression, typical for many similar games.

With the release of the merge and the new currency that combined the old orders, this principle has not changed in any way - we just adapted the economy to the new single currency. The appearance of individual research tree branches allows you to unlock interesting weapons faster than before - skipping certain branches with content that you do not plan to use yet. We are trying to adjust the balance to keep player progression interesting at every stage.

Thank you for your feedback! As we’ve also discussed it with you in separate large topics, we want to please you with some changes in the economy, useful for both beginners and active commanders with large armies.

Upgrades are getting cheaper

Changing the price of upgrades was one of the most popular suggestions in the discussions and it’s the biggest source of your expenses when the goal is to create an uncompromisingly effective army. We are significantly reducing the price of weapon and vehicle upgrades to the first four stars - this will make life easier for newcomers.

More valuable login rewards

The amount of Silver in the daily login reward will also increase significantly.

A player usually starts to upgrade his weapons after he has finished equipping his army with basic weapons, and an actively progressing commander needs a lot of them. Any inflow of Silver in this situation is very useful, especially for beginners.

Now even the most basic daily reward won't just be a nice bonus, but at least one weapon or a couple of upgrades.

By the way, this is not the first step to expand the ways you can earn Silver - we've recently added a lot of new achievements with Silver rewards. You'll find them by clicking on your profile.

We will implement all the described changes in the near future.

Once again, we would like to say thank you to everyone participating in these big discussions - and for your concern about new players before the start of Enlisted: Reinforced’s testing on Steam. Let's continue to make Enlisted better together!

Making Enlisted a Better Place №60

Each issue of our regular series focuses on a certain aspect of the game or a particular mechanic, in which we correct smaller, but noticeable bugs and add new interesting features.

Economy improvements

We have prepared some important economy related adjustments for you. Weapon and vehicle upgrades will become cheaper and the daily login crates will contain more Silver. We will tell you more about it in a separate post today.

Explosions scatter debris

In one of our recent updates, we’ve implemented that shots and explosions affect the bodies of defeated soldiers: you may have noticed how spectacularly they are blown away. Now it’s time to add this feature to various destructible objects!

Crates, barrels, fences, doors and many other objects that could function as cover will now break apart based on the force of impact on them, whether it’s a hit from a rifle or a powerful explosion nearby. This new effect can already be experienced in battles!

Improving the paratroopers’ crate

To better balance high BR battles, we have added more suitable weapons to several paratrooper squads’ crates.

The weapons in the crates of paratrooper squads armed with the FG 42 with a grenade launcher, Vickers Mk.I No. 2 and M1928A1 Thompson 100 have changed.

OTHER CHANGES
  • Fixed the missing horn sound on APCs.
  • Fixed the inaccurate landing of the paratrooper crate to the player's chosen location.
  • Fixed a bug where rockets flew through ground vehicles.
  • Improved the display of prices in the weapon details window.
  • Improved the visibility of the "Show details" button.
  • Fixed a bug where smoke shell hits would leave a penetration mark on vehicles.
  • Fixed a bug with small caliber hit marks overlapping the tank shell penetration marks.
  • Fixed the missing flight controls when switching to the tail gunner in the E13A1 and the A20 Boston MK.3
  • Improved the behavior of AI soldiers, they try to spread out in the dug trenches, rather than grouping together.
  • Fixed a bug related to using the "Best for BR" presets.
WE APPRECIATE YOUR FEEDBACK!

Lots of exciting game mechanics have been realized or improved thanks to your ideas. We are watching our communities, other Enlisted sites and regularly check the forum for your feedback and reports.

Mods Digest: The offensive

Today we have some more interesting missions and hangars to review from several talented Enlisted authors!

Thanks to the mod editor, Enlisted is an endlessly scalable game, you can create a unique mission or even an entirely new location yourself, using thousands of objects from all of the game's campaigns.

The battle in Vladivostok by PrivateRyan44
Original mission title: Russian Civil War - Vladivostok Intervention.

The year is 1919, the violent civil war is still raging in Russia. The Whites are fighting the Reds with the help of Allied troops. In this mission, dedicated to a historical event, you can experience this distant battle and fight for the White Army with the interventionists or for the Red Army.

Like in the author's previous work - players and AI commanders are given a unique set of squads. In comparison to the author's previous work, you will now have 12 squads under your command and their equipment has become more diverse.

A few more notable changes: the map now uses the “Invasion” mode, and players are also given the opportunity to control certain BR 1 tanks and aircraft, replacing the vehicles of that time.

Can the Red Army hold their ground or will they be crushed by the White Army with the support of Allied forces?

MISSION ON THE PORTAL VERSION WITHOUT VEHICLES

Operation Burning Ridge by Grasslands_YT
Original mission title: Operation Burning Ridge.

"September 12, 1942. Major General Kiyotake Kawaguchi launches an offensive to recapture Henderson Field and reclaim Guadalcanal for the Japanese Empire. The American forces barely had time to properly prepare and dig in before the assault!" - changed author's description.

As you may have already realized from the description, in front of you is another mission based on a historical event, in this case - the Battle of Edson's Ridge.

A simple, but at the same time fast-paced and atmospheric mission. We recommend to limit the number of players and AI commanders, as the battle area is small and has only one capture point. But no one prevents you from making a real meat grinder.

There is no room on the map for ground and air vehicles, use only your Infantry squads!

MISSIOM ON THE PORTAL

30 Seconds To Moon by schyrikami
Original mission title: 30 Seconds To Moon.

In one of our recent major updates, we've brought back some assets and equipment from old game events, including the first-ever April Fools’ Day battlefield - Battle for the Moon. Meet one of the first creation that uses the returned content.

It's almost an exact re-creation of the old “Unknown War” event, even the available set of squads will be randomized in each battle!

However, there are a few minor changes. Now, at the very least, it is possible to throw an axe at an enemy.

Is it certain that the battle ended in an Allied victory?

MISSION ON THE PORTAL

Hangar | Military Base by Yopsius
Original hangar title: Military Base.

A hangar with a detailed and somewhat dynamic unidentified military base. Not a bad choice for any army.

Almost every game menu, except for the Battle pass, got its own unique and well-chosen background. Everywhere you will find small details that complement the menus nicely: from various objects to soldiers and even a truck that drives around.

Considering that this is the first hangar from this author, it turned out pretty good!

HANGAR ON THE PORTAL

THANK YOU, AUTHORS!

Each author whose work is featured in our section of interesting mods will receive a unique portrait of an engineer and an additional gold weapon order!

You can get gold orders in the game multiple ways, but the portrait... It is simply impossible to get it otherwise. So if you meet such a player in battle, show them your respect. :)

LAUNCH THE MISSIONS

Every one of you can create your own mission, as well as launch any mission from the portal. Here’s a quick reminder how to launch one of these multiplayer missions.
  • Choose a mission you like on the Enlisted sandbox (Game Mods) portal and press COPY MOD URL on its page.
  • In the game, open game mode selection (above the START button) and choose “Custom matches”.
  • Press the “Create Game” button, then on the right side “No active mod” and paste the previously copied URL.
Now you only need to configure the main settings, and you’re good to go — your server is in the list. Tell your friends to come, wait for other players to join or play by yourself.

SET UP A HANGAR

In addition to launching a mission, every one of you can install a custom hangar and so replace the foggy background with something new! Below is a quick tutorial on how to do this:
  • Choose the hangar you are interested in on the Enlisted Sandbox (Hangars) portal and click DOWNLOAD on its card.
  • Place the downloaded file in the userGameMods folder, which is located in the game's folder. If the userGameMods folder is missing, then just create it.
  • Make sure that the file is named hangar.
More details about installation in our Youtube shorts.

Now all that's left is to run the game and enjoy the new look!

Enlisted: Reinforced will be released in Early Access on Steam

Friends, on March 28th, Enlisted: Reinforced - a version of our game specially for this platform - will be released on Steam in Early Access.

Together we will continue to make Enlisted even better, implement full support for the features of this platform, and also test the game on Steam Deck!

Enlisted: Reinforced on Steam and Steam Deck

The development of the special version for the new platform will begin with a closed testing stage. Early Access bundles will unlock unique game content, as well as support the development and creation of unique features specifically for Steam and Steam Deck.

Enlisted: Reinforced will support full crossplay between all platforms on which Enlisted is already available and will also work on the Steam Deck.

In the Early Access bundles we will include fully equipped unique squads with engineers, with which Enlisted newcomers even in their first battles will be able to overcome any opponent, and become useful allies for their teammates. The cost of the bundles themselves will be much lower than the total cost of squads, equipment and other unique content in them.

For those who just want the unique content included in the Early Access of Enlisted: Reinforced, we will be adding bundles with the same content to the Gaijin.Net store to ensure that we don’t offend those who support us by continuing to play via the standalone client.

Plans for the future

The decision on the format of further distribution of Enlisted: Reinforced will depend on the success of the closed testing.

Enlisted will continue to be available for free on our official website as well as on consoles. Updates for our game will be released on all platforms.

Answering your questions
  • Will there be an option to keep my existing progression?
Yes. Purchasing a Reinforced bundle on Steam will also give you access to link your Gaijin.Net account (and your existing progression) to your Steam account throughout the game's closed testing.
  • Do I have to buy a bundle on Steam Deck separately?
No need, just use your account that has access to Enlisted: Reinforced and everything will work.
  • What will be in the Reinforced bundles?
There'll be three bundles with different content and price, but even the smallest will give you access to test Enlisted: Reinforced. They will include rare vehicles and infantry squads. We've taken your suggestions into account and added engineers to them, so new Steam players will be ready for the challenges of Enlisted battles from the very beginning.
We'll announce more details about the contents of these bundles when Enlisted: Reinforced’s Early Access launches.
  • Is there a difference between the new Steam and Gaijin.Net store bundles?
Each Steam bundle gives you access to the testing of Enlisted: Reinforced on Steam. Buying a bundle in the Gaijin.Net store will simply get you the exact same squads, weapons and exclusive content, but without access to the Steam version of the game. However, from purchases in the Gaijin.Net store, the developers will receive the funds in full for further development of Enlisted. So, thank you for that!
