Hey,

This is Cam, solo dev behind Combo Card Clahsers. I've prepared a broadcast session for DreamHack Beyond Indie showcase.

I had some good runs recording this - enjoy!

Demo v0.7 Release!

v0.7 Demo Updates:

Localization:
-Added Chinese Simplified!
-Menu added at beginning of game to change language.

Content:
4 New Enemies (For full release, not in demo)
4 New Artifacts (For full release, not in demo)
4 New Events (For full release, not in demo)
7 New Cards (can be found in demo, but demo still has card limit)

FX:
+gold and + exp when an enemy dies.
-make cards selected at end of combat have glow
-trail goes from card to player deck when selected, also works for gear

QOL:
-story disabled by default, but you can select to view it
-background of shops improved
-added mage icon for traveling the world map

Other:
-Fog of war bug fix for ascension
-You can now restore mana past your limit, but you wont regen mana unless you are below your max
-Weapons are now slightly weaker, and scale less

Demo v0.6 Patch Notes:

Combat:
-Added HITSTOP effect to combat
-Revised the “Player/Enemy” turn transition
-Added new combat Bkg for World Map 2
Choose Card Amt/Notification: says how many cards you can take, and also, if you can take 2 and you take only 1 a notification appears once saying “You can still choose 1 more card.”
-Added Increase speed button for combat
-changed the color and animation of text during combat

World Map:
-Added particle effects and wind to world map 1
-Added new tile art to world map 2
-added fog effects to world map 2
-world map 2 has different music
-Perspective adjusted to see top of map

UI
-Revised character select screen
-Added option in settings to change the display (windowed, fullscreen exclusive, fullscreen)
-Revised story page slightly, still WIP
-Revised settings screen slightly
-Revised error window
-Revised the loading screen

Ascension Mode:
-Added the first level of ascension for players of the Extended Demo to test.

-new story artwork for Warrior and Mage chapter 1 (still temporary artwork)

Demo v0.55 release! UI Updates, Ultrawide Support, Balancing, and QOL!

Hey guys,

Thanks for taking the time to support CCC aka C3 aka Combo Card Clashers! This upgrade is a lot of UI and art upgrades to make the game feel smoother. Biggest change is probably the hero select screen, but there are a ton of small QOL changes too. There are also some minor gameplay changes, such as being able to save your deck edits, and how the combo grid repeats cards now. More updates coming soon :)

UltraWide Support added!

Gameplay Changes: - playing your next card twice plays the card when the combo grid bar lands on it instead of after all cards in the row have been played
-gold filling bar at end of run is now 5x speed
-increased damage of magic missiles to ⅓ of spell damage from ¼
-cleave now works with modifiers
-2nd boss more powerful now
-3 spirits enemy more powerful now

FX:
-enemies shrink when dying (reverted back old change)
-enemies have a white mask object when hit (for more juiciness!)

Art
-Placeholder art for 1st half of world map 2 enemies upgraded
-New slime king enemy art and animations
-Increased Difficulty of 2nd boss

QOL (from feedback):
-Added tooltip UI art
-SFX Settings Save Permanently now
-Deck Edits are saved after each run (can be separate for warrior/mage)
-settings button now on title screen
-you can click through story text now
-having 4 spell choices in combat changes GUI underneath
-Window to wishlist now at end of the demo
-Include buffs/debuffs", now shows if the effect is a buff or debuff
-Description. of “combo stack” revised

New Enemies World 3 (not reachable in demo)
-enemy 1: Beholder
-enemy 2: Necromancer
-enemy 3: Demon Samurai
-enemy 4 : Enigma

Bugs Fixes
-Mana potion had error of its “charges” being used when it didnt use charges.
-Divine influence (repeat column) - does not repeat cards above it, only below it
-Basic block now blocks all damage not just physical damage
