We’re super excited to share with you that Esoteric Ebb will be at Gamescom this year as part of our publisher Raw Fury’s lovely big 10 year anniversary booth!

You’ll be able to play the demo and speak to the kick - ass Raw Fury team about the game, as well as snag yourself one of our super secret & cool pins to wear so everyone knows you have 20 Charisma.

The booth will be located at HALL 10.1 Aisle B-21. - if you post any pictures on social media be sure to tag our BSky & Instagram accounts or the Raw Fury X/TikTok too!

We’re thrilled to share that Esoteric Ebb is being featured as part of the Made In Sweden Midsummer Steam Sale (phew, what a mouthful!)
But, you say, how can we be in the sale? The game hasn’t launched yet!

You’ll all be thrilled to know that the demo is in fact back up and ready for you to sink your teeth into once again! Technically it doesn’t start until Sunday, but we wanted to give you the weekend to play so the demo is live RIGHT NOW!
Will you be rolling a low Intelligence Cleric? How about using the preset Little Weirdo? Or maybe your Cleric is super macho and you’ve put all your points into strength so you can fulfill your dreams of recreating that scene from Dirty Dancing with Snell...

(Wait that’s just me 👀)

What's a DC? What are Ability Score modifiers? How do you play this role exactly?

So many questions arise when diving into heavily TTRPG-inspired RPGs like Esoteric Ebb. The beauty of Ebb is however, in my humble opinion, that you don't really need to know all of that stuff. It'll absolutely give you a layer of depth if you already have an understanding of the 5E system, but Esoteric Ebb is designed to allow newcomers to just hop in and enjoy the interactive story, no problem.

But it still doesn't hurt to explain some of the basics. So we put together a quick video where I get to explain just that, the basics, of how to play Ebb. And that video just debuted on The MIX Showcase!

I also highly recommend checking out the full show - they showed off a ton of really cool games.

As for other news, I can just say that production is going very well. I'm writing like hell, and my amazing collaborators are created some incredible art. If you want to check out more, there's always the official Discord, and I've also been interviewed by Multiplier, and Radio Times - oh, and Mortismal, one of my favorite RPG reviewer, made a video on the demo! Fun stuff. Exciting to see what you all will think of the rest of the game too.

Playing the Esoteric Ebb demo at LudoNarraCon!

Hello, my name is Christoffer Bodegård. You may know me for such classics as Esoteric Ebb. I'm very happy to announce that Esoteric Ebb will be a wide array of amazing narrative games on this year's:



Tons of demos for some great games - I highly recommend checking out the event on Steam! Speaking of which, the Esoteric Ebb Demo will be available for download during those five days! So if you missed your shot last time, this is your chance! Dive into the massive apple piles of the Lower Lair, wrestle with Azgalian dwarves, and fall apart at the thought of meeting with the goblin chieftain.



Beyond that, I just want to say thank you very much again for checking out Ebb. There's been some really great discussion and feedback on the official Discord, as well as a ton of nice comments across the social media pages. I'm currently writing first drafts on some of the more intense dialogs in the game, and I can't wait to see how it turns out.
