Patch Notes (Disco Dimension)

We hope you are having fun playing the Disco Dimension!

While you were at it, the dev team sat down and bug-fixed some of the things that were causing you to die or rage-quit the game. We believe that the gameplay experience is at beak point (kekw) right now and would be super excited to know if you think the same!
Here are the changes inside the patch:

• DiscoBoss´s graphics are 100% crispier!
After the release, we noticed that the DiscoBoss was being rendered a bit blurred by the Disco Dimension... Maybe the mad scientist that trapped us there was behind it? Anyways, you can enjoy a better look of him and other characters in the world now!
• Unlock Disco Dimension right away!
We noticed that some players didn't have access to the Disco Dimension right after updating on Steam, even if they already had completed the first dimension. From now on, you can always access the first level of both dimensions, even if your progress of the game is at 0%.
• Invisible collisions are gone now!
Some people were saying that the DiscoBullet was bouncing off objects it should not be bouncing off, such as clouds. We investigated the case and one of the ducks discovered some invisible bullets in the game! Turns out, when colliding with the DiscoBall, some bullets were becoming invisible and bouncing around the levels. This should not be a problem anymore!
• The Eggs...
If you noticed, the Disco Dimension is home to a new entity. Cute colored eggs hatch in the levels and depending on the color, they spawn enemies or shields.
Little but problematic were they... We discovered that sometimes, they can disappear the whole map and let you fall into the abyss! Also, they were not bright enough. Oh and the shields from the golden ones didn't work. Everything should be fixed now!
• Big ducks don't go through gates anymore!
A user on Steam told us that some of the big ducks were able to fly right through some gates. This is unacceptable! They should only be able to randomly spawn out of nowhere and make your life impossible... Fixed!
• Music andn vfx are always smoother!
We also improved some of the transitions for music and sounds, and it should give you the interdimensional experience you deserve.

Thank you so much for helping us finding bugs, suggesting features and specially for playing the game! Our community is growing a lot and our Discord is becoming a very special place where we build the game together. We have tons of plans to upgrade the server and make it a game development home. Would love to see you there!

New Disco Dimension Update is OUT NOW on Steam!

Dear Duck Paradox community:
The response to this game has been amazing ever since we started working on it for a Game Jam, and we are happy to announce an entire new dimension with more levels, mechanics, enemies and surprises you have not seen before!
It would mean the world to us if you gave it a chance one more time, especially because YOU helped us build the game into what it is today.

For the last couple of weeks, our Discord community has been extremely helpful playtesting, debugging and sharing great new ideas and scrapping our bad ones. We are so grateful for this, and really want to thank every single user that played the game, talked with us or participated during the creation of this new dimension.

We are really looking forward to sticking with this project, and taking care of it together with you guys. Duck Paradox will remain FREE and Early Access on Steam while we put together a strategy for the future.
Now, the show must go on! While you try all the new things, we are going to polish some details, fix some minor bugs and improve everything we can.
As usual, we would love to see you guys streaming, speedrunning or breaking the game! Every single player, feedback, comment or review counts and pushes us to deliver a better game experience with every update.
Here are the changes inside the patch:

• Controller Support!
We are taking feedback to decide on the final button layout, but the whole game is playable with a controller! Menus still need mouse input, but we will add that later. We wanted to have players testing this as soon as possible :)
• New Weapons!
You can now find 2 special weapons hidden on some of the Levels. If you find them, you will unlock them permanently to use on any level!
• New enemy Type!
Duck-Looking-Cannons will shoot bouncing bullets at you as well, be careful!
• Improvements to every single Level based on Player Feedback!
Levels have some new secrets and have more of the fun stuff and less of the frustrating stuff
• Four In-Development Levels for Playtesting!
There is a "secret" portal hidden in Level 1 where you can access these early prototypes of future levels. Please let us know what you think! Your opinion will shape what our next significant expansion will play like: the Disco Dimension Update.
• New Visual Effects!
Death feels better than ever...
• New Sound Effects!
Every single sound in the game has been rebuilt/remastered!
• Tons and Tons of Bug Fixes!
Duck Paradox Launch!

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

This is our first game, we are determined to learn as much as possible to become better at making games and that includes working on different projects. This game was born in a game jam and we decided to continue working on it because we realized how much fun it can be and how much more it can become. If the community wants more of it, we will be happy to expand on it before moving on to another project. That is precisely why we included an endless survival mode apart from the 10 Story levels, we want to give players enough playroom to imagine what else this game could be and then carefully listen to them to decide what to do next.
