The Witcher 3 has sold over 50M copies: legendary saga among the best-selling games of all time

CD Projekt Red has announced the lastest sales figure for The Wither 3, and it's a big number.

According to the studio, the game has sold over 50 million copies worldwide, making it the ninth best-selling game of all time behind Red Dead Redemption 2. Minecraft is at the top of the list, with over 238 million sold as of the last count.

A figure for The Witcher Trilogy was also shared by CDP. According to the company, combined, the three titles have sold over 75 million copies worldwide.

The Witcher's Project Sirius finds new life as development gets back on track

After restarting development earlier this year, CD Projekt Red's Witcher spin-off, Project Sirius, seems to be back on track.

Speaking in a financial call to investors (Eurogamer), the company said now that the upcoming title has a "new framework" in place, development has again commenced.

Back in March, CDPR said in a regulatory announcement, Project Sirius was in the process of being retooled after evaluating the scope and commercial potential of the original concept.

The Witcher's multiplayer spin-off might be rebooting development


Last year publisher CD Projekt Red announced Project Sirius, a spin-off to The Witcher from Molasses Flood - the studio behind Flame In The Flood and Drakes Hollow. But it seems we might need to wait a while more to see the untitled project, as it looks like it's getting rebooted to start development from scratch.

Molasses Flood's upcoming Witcher title seems to have co-op, PvE and more


A series of senior job listings have revealed some details about The Molasses Flood’s upcoming Witcher game, codenamed Project Sirius. The studio behind Flame In The Flood were acquired by CD Projekt Red back in 2021, and CDPR first mentioned Sirius in an investor call last October. The project was initially described as "an innovative take on The Witcher universe telling an unforgettable story.” We now know that this “unforgettable story” could potentially be told inside of a multiplayer game, or at least a game with multiplayer and social elements.

Lost Ark and The Witcher crossover event coming in January

Lost Ark players in the west will soon be able to participate in a crossover event with The Witcher.

The Lost Ark x The Witcher event arrived in the Korean version of Lost Ark last week, and everyone else will be able to experience the collaboration in January.

Apparently, the island White Wolf’s Haven was currently in the midst of festivities when things were interrupted by a mystical vortex.
