The Witcher: Enhanced Edition News

In a company strategy video released today, CD Projekt Red have outlined changes they plan to make to the development studio's structure and focus. Chief among the changes is the news that their next project will no longer be a standalone multiplayer Cyberpunk game.

Instead, they're going to focus on developing fundamental technology that will eventually bring multiplayer components to all of their games. This was explained alongside a shift towards "parallel AAA game development", which will allow them to simultaneously work on both Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher series.

The Steam release features full cross-play and synchronization functionality with other versions of the game, meaning you can compete with players on iOS, Android, and GOG, as well as carry over all items and progress between these platforms. Additionally, thanks to an update to Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales on Steam, from today, you can now earn rewards to use in GWENT by making progress in the Thronebreaker campaign. These rewards include premium cards and vanity items, which will unlock automatically once requisite conditions are met. If you played The Witcher Tales earlier on Steam you can unlock the rewards retroactively only if you completed your play-through of the game in online mode (with connection to the internet).

It takes place in the Vizimian Outskirts, after the events of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. A merchant caravan from Vengerberg arrives in Vizima, but there’s a murderer among them. One of the key suspects is a doppler — did he do it? Discover the truth in this noir adventure!

The adventure is fully voiced with a Polish dubbing and has English subtitles. The story consists of 14 non-linear quests that the authors estimate for 7 to 8 hours of gameplay. You can find more details about the mod on our official forums.
