Shin-etsu Line DLC will finally be released on Tuesday, September 26!

We are pleased to announce the Shin-etsu Line DLC, which will finally go on sale on September 26th (Tuesday).


*The screen is under development and the contents may change from the time of release.

[h3]About the Route[/h3]
The Shin-etsu Line connects Takasaki Station in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture with Niigata Station in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture.
In the past, a single line connected Takasaki Station to Niigata Station, but with the opening of the Shinkansen line to Nagano (now Hokuriku Shinkansen) in October 1997, the line between Yokokawa Station and Karuizawa Station, which runs parallel to the Shinkansen line, was discontinued. At that time, the remaining line between Karuizawa Station and Shinonoi Station was also transferred to Shinano Railway. In March 2015, the Hokuriku Shinkansen line extension between Nagano and Kanazawa stations opened for service, and management of the line between Nagano and Naoetsu stations was also transferred to Shinano Railway and Echigo TOKImeki Railway.
Currently, the Shin-etsu Line operating as JR EAST has three sections: between Takasaki Station and Yokokawa Station, between Shinonoi Station and Nagano Station, and between Naoetsu Station and Niigata Station. This DLC includes the section between Naoetsu Station and Niigata Station.
Omigawa(青海川) Station, located on the way to the station, is known as a station adjacent to the sea, along with Umi-Shibaura Station on the Tsurumi Line and Rikuzen-Otsuka Station on the Senseki Line, where you can watch the sun set over the Sea of Japan from the platform.The train runs along the seaside section of the Sea of Japan between Naoetsu Station and Kashiwazaki Station, and between Kashiwazaki Station and Niigata Station, it runs through the rural landscape that symbolizes Niigata as a rice-producing region.

  • Actual voice broadcasts by the current train conductor are implemented. (Broadcasting is handled by the Toyoda Train crew depot.)
    【Joban Line DLC】
  • Fixed an event in which the timetable displayed on the TIMS screen was off by 15 seconds.
  • Corrected pilot lamp lighting timing.
  • Added speed limits (35, 45, 40, and 40 km/h) at turnouts after departing Ueno Station
  • Fixed embedding misalignment of the first blocking signal between Kashiwa and Kita-Kashiwa stations.
  • Corrected the slope indication before Hitachinoushiku Station (the 10‰ and 3.3‰ sections were indicated as "downhill" when "uphill" was justified).

  • Corrected slope indication between Ikebukuro and Mejiro stations.
  • Fixed a bug in the 876G scenario where the ATC emergency brake was applied just before arrival at Tamachi Station.
  • In the 876G scenario, the timing of the door-closing reminder announcement during station stops has been changed to after the departure bell rings.
    【Oito Line DLC】
  • In the 3241M scenario,aspects of the home signal at Shinano-Matsugawa Station are corrected.
  • In the 3241M scenario, the announcement "We will stop for a short while to allow trains to pass each other" was deleted at Ichinichiba, Toyoshina, and Shinano-Matsugawa stations because the preceding train had arrived first.
    【Saikyo Line ・ Kawagoe Line DLC】
  • Corrected an issue in the 759K scenario where the train was forced to stop in the air section when a stop signal was given due to an approaching train.
    【Keihin-Tohoku Line・Negishi Line】
  • Corrected gradient indication at Oimachi station.
    【Train schedule Selection Screen】
  • Fixed the speed at which text scrolling flows.
    【Others】
  • Correction of the event in which the density of UV glass in the cab of E233 series returned to the state before the modification.

  • Display range of stop marks changed to original scale
    The moving scale of the stop position indicator and stop position mark ♦ has been restored to that used prior to August 28. (3m front/rear to 5m front/rear)

    <Supplement>
    The stop mark display range for the Yamanote Line (±35 cm) did not match the actual display, so the scale was changed from 5 to 3 meters in the recent update on August 29 (Tue.).
    (Since it is not possible to change the scale for each route, the change was made uniformly.)
    However, due to the many comments we have received regarding this change, we will temporarily revert back to the original specifications.

  • Keihin-Tohoku Line and Negishi Line (727B): Correction of a problem with red lights warning of abnormalities at railroad crossings between Kawasaki Station and Tsurumi Station.
  • Joban Line (1157M): Corrected the light position of the yellow signal of the signal (4 lights) in Tsuchiura Station.

[h3]About the Route[/h3]
The Joban Line runs from Ueno Station in Taito-ku, Tokyo, to Sendai Station in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, via Chiba, Ibaraki, and Fukushima prefectures, and is the longest line among JR lines not named "Main Line.
Until now, the Joban Line has operated to and from Ueno Station, but on March 14, 2015, the Ueno Tokyo Line began service, with some trains now running between Shinagawa and Ueno.
This DLC includes the Ueno Tokyo Line between Shinagawa Station and Ueno Station and the Joban Line between Ueno Station and Katsuta Station.
The line is characterized by the change of electrification system along the way, and there is a DC/AC switchover (dead section) between Toride and Fujishiro stations.
(Shinagawa Station to Toride Station: 1500V DC, Fujishiro Station to Sendai Station: 20,000V AC)
Another major feature of this line is that it can operate at 130 km/h, the highest speed on a conventional JR line.
The first half of the line shows a significant change in scenery along the line from an office area in central Tokyo to a bed town. The second half of the line features the peaceful green landscape of Ibaraki Prefecture.
The long-distance route, which takes about two hours, allows passengers to enjoy driving while viewing the changing scenery along the route.

    ▲The train schedule selection screen is designed in the motif of LCD departure markers at stations, and the timetable used by drivers is displayed on the right side of the screen. The operation information allows you to check the date and time of operation and the level of congestion.

  • The effective range of regenerative braking for Senseki Line Series 205 and Oito Line Series 211 has been corrected.
    The unit indicator light turns off at about 25 km/h as the effective range of the regenerative brake is modified.
