We are planning to distribute the "Keihin-Tohoku/Negishi Line" next time, which has been requested by many of you!

• Section: Southbound Omiya Station → Ofuna Station
(The video was taken before the opening of Takanawa Gateway Station.)
  • Model: Series E233-1000
  • Release date: Scheduled for late April 2023

In addition, we plan to add the entire Keihin-Tohoku/Negishi Line section (southbound Omiya Station to Ofuna Station) in the form of a free update to the basic pack, rather than releasing it as DLC in the next release.
We hope that more people will be satisfied with JR East Train Simulator through the enhancement of the basic pack.

Please look forward to the release of the Keihin-Tohoku and Negishi lines, which will allow you to enjoy longer distances than when the Early Access version was released!

We are still considering the most ideal way to display the maximum speed and limit warning for users, and will continue to make improvements in response to user feedback.
We will also continue to consider the implementation of in-train announcements for the Tokaido Line, Chuo Line Rapid Service, Saikyo Line and Kawagoe Line, which have been requested by many users.

If you like this update, we would be very grateful if you could reflect this in your review rating, which would be very encouraging for all of us in the production staff.

Thank you for playing JR East Train Simulator!

Thank you for the many GOOD evaluations and comments on the "Notice of Work Progress" posted on 3/6.
As of 3/24, we have completed the implementation of in-train announcements for the Oito Line and the maximum speed display function for the Tokaido Line, Chuo Line Rapid Train, Oito Line, Saikyo Line and Kawagoe Line (excluding ATACS sections), and debugging work is underway.

We are currently considering the most ideal way to display the speed limit.
At this time, we are planning to release the product with the display as shown in the above capture, but we will continue to improve it after the release in response to users' feedback.

The next update is scheduled to include the following information.
  • Announcement in the train of Oito Line (Implement with or without DLC.)
  • Maximum speed display (Tokaido Line, Chuo Line Rapid Service, Oito Line, Saikyo Line and Kawagoe Line [excluding ATACS sections])
  • Improvement of drawing process
  • Oito Line Series 211: Adjustment of the brightness of the driver's cab panel to match the actual crew compartment environment

The update is currently scheduled for Thursday, March 30.
*Please note that this may change depending on the debugging situation.

Please look forward to it!

Work in progress as of 3/6

Thank you for playing JR East Train Simulator!

Are you enjoying the Saikyo Line and Kawagoe Line DLC that was recently released?
In this game, you can enjoy the scenery along the lines, which changes from urban areas to bedroom towns and rural landscapes.Do you have a favorite section to drive?
(I especially like the section between Todakoen Station and Toda Station where the E3 and E2 Shinkansen overtake each other!)

Now, I would like to update you on the progress of our work as of March 6.
As for the "Oito Line's in-train voice broadcasting," which we reported in our post on February 7, we are now steadily working on connecting the recorded voice data with the route data.
As for the "maximum speed display function" that we announced in our December 22nd posting, we are currently preparing a list of speed limits for each route.

The work involved in implementing the "maximum speed display function" is as follows
  1. First, the types of traffic signals and speed limit signs on each route and their approximate locations are identified.
  2. The original simulator video with unique frame numbers is viewed from the first station to the last station.
The locations of the actual traffic signals and speed limit signs in the video are visually confirmed one by one, and the frame numbers are written into the speed limit list.
  3. Based on the speed limit list with frame numbers entered, ONGAKUKAN's development staff manually puts the information into the simulator as speed limit information.

This is the kind of work that is being done.

We will announce the timing of the implementation of the Oito Line in-train broadcasting and the maximum speed display function for each line here when we are ready to do so, based on the progress of the work.

We apologize for the long wait, and we appreciate your patience.
Thank you for your continued support!
