We are bringing Ver. 1.0.3 hotfix patch to implement some adjustments and bug fixes. If you find anything fishy in the game, please do not hesitate to report them to us via Steam discussion boards or our Discord server so that we can continue creating the best Section 13 experience we can!

• Set a limit to the max number of additional enemies that can spawn on The Core level
• Removed some of the red barriers on some levels

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]

• Fixed the issue where a medkit crate could spawn in an unreachable location on the Isolation Chamber level
• Fixed a visual glitch with Lady Okuni on the Location Unknown level

Please note that if you are playing at this time, your game will not be interrupted. You will be prompted to download the patch the next time you open Section 13. For the best gameplay experience, we recommend installing the update as soon as possible.

The speedrun contest will be starting soon and will last for a whole week! If you haven't already, gather your squad and start practicing your shots. Make sure to visit this form if you or your friend need keys for Section 13 to participate in the event!

Here are the details of the contest:

Start: May 30th, 2025 9am PT
End: June 6th, 2025 5pm PT

Objective: Clear the Nephilim boss as fast as possible in co-op mode (2–3 players) and submit your team’s best run time!

Team Format:

• Teams must consist of 2 or 3 players.
  
• All players must be playing together in co-op mode on Steam.
  
• Each player may only participate in one submitted team.

How to Submit:

• Submit a screenshot of your end screen statistics via DM to @Section13_Game on X or to ModMail on the Ocean Drive Studio Discord server.

Submission Details:

• Only one submission per team will be accepted.
  
• Runs must be completed on the current live version of the game.

Judging:

• The 10 fastest co-op teams to defeat the Nephilim will receive a reward!
  
• In case of ties, earlier submission time takes priority.

Reward:

• Every member of the winning team will receive a key to one Ocean Drive Studio game that can be purchased on Steam at the event end date.
  
• If you choose to receive a temporary Steam key from this survey, you may keep your copy of the game indefinitely if you submit a time.

• Fixed the issue where the Nephilim’s HP scaling was incorrectly applied, resulting in less HP than intended
  • Increased the Nephilim’s base HP
  • Fixed the issue where the Nephilim showed up as a lower level version in higher difficulties
  • Fixed the issue where the HP multiplier for online mode was not properly applied
• Fixed the issue where you could be stuck in a closet on the Location Unknown level, if you took explosion damage while interacting with the closet
• Fixed the issue where a medkit’s pop-up did not disappear even after using it
• Fixed the issue where Korean text would show despite the game’s language being set to English
• Fixed other bugs

With our 1.0 official release, the time is ripe for something greater than just beating the game.

Get ready for a friendly competition! We are announcing a community speedrun contest for Section 13, so this will be your chance to show off how good you and your friends are to the world.

We will be looking for 10 co-op teams (can be either 2 or 3 players) with the fastest record to beat the Nephilim!

We’ll be sharing more details (including how to participate and what you may win) in the next few days, so make sure you get to finding your teammate(s) in the meanwhile!

Remember: at S2P, the party never stops!
