Bangkok Story: A Stray Dog News

[p]Hi, all![/p][p][/p][p]James here, the dev! I'm thrilled to announce that Episode 2 of Bangkok Story: A Stray Dog is now live as an updated demo version. You can play Episode 2 for free by just simply launching the demo version of the game then press "Play Episode 2" at the title screen.[/p][p][/p][p]Now the full demo (EP. 1 + 2) has the playtime of 4 hours long approximately.[/p][p][/p][p]Also, Bangkok Story: A Stray Dog now has Simplified Chinese language up to Episode 2.[/p][p][/p][p]P.S. [/p][p][/p][p]Bangkok Story: A Stray Dog will be joining Steam Next Fest this Feb 23 - Mar 2, 2026! [/p][p][/p][p]And I've been thinking hard about what marketing campaign I should do during NextFest. My fellow indie devs told me I shouldn't giveaway another episode of the game since the free Episode 1 is long enough as a demo, and I shouldn't let players play my game for free that long. However, that made me reflect on why I make games in the first place. I've always wanted to tell meaningful stories that change their lives forever. Games just happen to be a perfect medium for me. I've never wanted to make games just it to be games that entertain people, and if making my work more accessible helps more people experience these stories, then I’m more than willing to do it. So... [/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p]สวัสดีปีใหม่นะครับทุกคน! หายไปนานเลย เพราะส่วนตัวไป social detox มา แต่ตอนนี้ผมกลับมาแล้วกับข่าวดีนะครัย[/p][p][/p][p]เกม Bangkok Story: A Stray Dog จะเข้าร่วม Steam Next Fest ในช่วงวันที่ 23 กุมภาพันธ์ - 2 มีนาคม 2569 นี้นะครับ [/p][p][/p][p]จริงๆแล้วผมคิดไม่ตกเลยครับกับเรื่องการทำการตลาดในช่วงนั้นว่าจะทำอะไรดี พอปรึกษากับรุ่นพี่ที่ทำเกมด้วยกัน พวกเขาก็แนะนำว่าไม่ควรปล่อย Episode 2 ฟรีๆไป เพราะแค่ Episode 1 มันก็เป็นการให้คนเขาเล่นเกมเราฟรีๆซะเยอะแล้ว แต่นั่นก็มาทำให้ผมคิดได้ว่า เรามาทำเกมทำไมตั้งแต่แรก คือความตั้งใจของผมคือการที่ผมอยากเล่าเรื่องราวอะไรบางอย่างที่มีความหมายและทำให้ชีวิตของเขาเปลี่ยนไปตลอดกาล สำหรับผมเกมมันก็แค่เป็นสื่อที่เหมาะมากๆสำหรับการเล่าเรื่องตรงนั้น ผมไม่อยากสร้างเกมเพราะแม่งอยากให้มันเป็นเกมที่ให้แค่ความบันเทิงอย่างเดียว แล้วถ้ามันเข้าถึงคนได้มากเท่าไร ผมก็ยิ่งอยากให้เป็นอย่างนั้นครับ เพราะฉะนั้น...
