A Message from our developer

Hi Kādomon Keepers,

It's Patrick here, with an update about the future of Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers.

Kādomon has come so far since its early days. It’s been a journey of excitement, challenges, amazing people, and a lot of growth and learning. Working on Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers has been an incredible experience, made so much better by the energy that all of you – the players and community – bring to the game.

Fireshine Games (Kādomon’s publisher) and I have always been passionate and excited about what Kādomon could become. We have worked together to improve the game for all our players. But we also understand that the game hasn’t met expectations, nor has it reached the number of players that we hoped it would, which has led to some difficult conversations about the game’s future.

Unfortunately, this has meant we’ve had to revise the scope of new content coming to the game. At the moment, we’re planning one more update for Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers, polishing various content and adding a new mode to get the game into the best possible shape. This will be the update that launches the game into 1.0.

We know that this change in Early Access plans may come as a disappointment, but my focus remains entirely on making Kādomon: Hyper Auto Battlers the best game it can be within the scope of what is achievable for 1.0. That means listening to community feedback and ensuring that the game reflects the love and care that the developers and players have shown it.

Thank you SO much for being a part of the Kadomon journey! Your support, feedback, and your passion has made it all possible. This is the first independent game I have created, and I have learnt lots of things over the last 2 years working on this game alongside you all. I plan on carrying over everything I learnt forward.

I have loved being able to share in this wild journey with such a wonderful community, and I can't wait to share the next one with you too.

Hotfix Now Live! | Save File Bug Resolved

Hello, Kādomon Keepers!

We’re excited to announce that a hotfix has just been posted to resolve the recent issues caused by the save file bug. This should fix the problems some of you were experiencing with new save data creation, along with a few other improvements. Thank you for your patience and support as we worked to address this!

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue causing save data to not be correctly initialized when starting a new game, which was leading to an infinite loading loop.
  • Resolved a softlock caused by opening the tutorial directly from the main menu.
  • Forced Ace to be the playable character in the tutorial, ensuring that tutorial prompts refer to the correct Kādomon.

Developer Update: New Save Data Bug + Temporary Workarounds

Hello, Kādomon Keepers!

We’re currently aware of a bug affecting the creation of new save data files in Kādomon.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may be causing. Rest assured, our team is working hard on a hotfix, which will be out as soon as possible to resolve this issue.

In the meantime, we have a couple of workarounds to help you get started:

[h2]Workaround 1 (Easiest):[/h2]
  • Switch to the experimental branch.
  • Launch the game to create a save file.
  • Switch back to the default branch.

This should generate the necessary save data and allow you to continue playing on the default branch.

[h2]Workaround 2:[/h2]
  • Download the blank save file provided HERE.
  • Place the blank save file into this folder: C:\Users\[YOURUSERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\Dino Rocket\Kadomon Hyper Auto Battlers\Saves
  • Launch the game.

This should bypass the issue and let you start your adventure.

Before diving into the update details, we want to address the recent quiet period. Development has been moving forward behind the scenes, but we understand it may have felt a bit disconnected. Here’s a heartfelt message from our developer, sharing a bit about what’s been going on and the next steps for Kādomon:

Thank you for sticking with us! We know it’s been a bit quiet recently, and I wanted to share why.

After the initial release and some minor updates, I took a short break to recharge and handle a few personal things. Since then, I’ve been diving deep into all the feedback we received, and it’s clear there are some design challenges that need to be addressed. These aren’t simple, quick fixes, so I’ve been hard at work on a major update to improve gameplay clarity and overall experience.

Working as a solo developer on design and coding has its own set of challenges, and I’ve gone through several iterations to find the best way forward. While the new version was taking shape, it became clear that it would still take more time to re-implement everything, so I’ve decided to bring updates to the current game step-by-step, incorporating the improvements and ideas I’ve developed over the last few months. This means you’ll start seeing more frequent updates, each one bringing something new to enhance your experience.

Our first update in this new approach introduces Keepers (humans) to the game! Plus, you’ll encounter two new map bosses in your adventures. While this update doesn’t capture all of the recent development efforts, it’s a step toward faster, more consistent content updates.

[h2]Roadmap Update & Community Involvement[/h2]
As we continue developing Kādomon, we wanted to let you know that the existing roadmap is now outdated and has been retired. At this time, we don’t have plans to release a new one, but we’re excited to bring you some updates over the next month. After that, we’ll likely begin using a community vote system to help decide which new features you want to see next, giving you an active voice in shaping the future of Kādomon.

Just to be clear, ALL of the content we outlaid on the original roadmap is still coming before we reach 1.0, and some of it is coming way sooner than we initially planned.

[h2]Localization Updates[/h2]
Localization is key to making Kādomon enjoyable for all, and we’re shifting our approach to make this process smoother. With so much text, we don’t want translations to delay content updates. Moving forward, if any in-game text isn’t finalized in a particular language, you’ll see a disclaimer in the game to keep you aware. Rest assured, we’ll be putting out hotfixes to finalize these translations as soon as possible. (Today’s update, however, is fully localized!)

Patch Notes 0.5.0 – October Update




[h2]General Gameplay Adjustments:[/h2]
  • New Run Setup Screen – We've added a brand-new setup screen to give you more control over your runs!
  • Kadomon Keepers (Human Avatars) – You can now choose a human avatar, or Kadomon Keeper, for your run! Each Keeper comes with unique starter selections and relics to enhance your gameplay experience.
  • New Region End Bosses – Two additional end bosses, Synistar and Serraskull, have been added to the lineup.
  • Varied End Bosses – Regional end bosses are no longer fixed and will now vary on a per-run basis for added challenge and excitement.

  • Fixed an issue causing "NONE" to be incorrectly displayed before certain Passive and Super Abilities.
  • Reduced game file size by approximately 1GB for smoother downloads and updates.
