Preparations for the Event Dungeons are ongoing - and now you can participate too!


The public test server "Public Beta" will start being accessible on Friday, November 20th, at around 11:00 CET (05:00 EST). . It is scheduled to be closed down for the public on Monday, November 23rd in the morning.


You want to participate? Here's how:
• You need to have TERA on Steam
• Start the client and select “Public Beta”
The version on our test systems is identical to the current live version, and as such no patching will be required to switch back and forth.


What is expected of me?
• Go into Harrowhold with an item level between 453 and 472 with a raid of likeminded players.
• In case you encounter any issues or balancing concerns, please let us know in the specific thread we will open for your feedback.
• Please include as many details as you can, including things such as
o On which boss and phase
o Your Party Gear and Class Composition
o Anything else of importance to you


Frequently Asked Questions

1. I play via Steam already, can I participate?
Every TERA player can participate, including existing Steam players.


2. I play via the Gameforge Client, can I participate?
Yes! As a GF Client player, you will require to download the complete TERA live client on Steam (~67 GB).


3. Do I need to start a new character on the Test System?
You will be required to create a character on the test system, as live characters aren't copied to it. On the plus side, users that already took part in our last public test, will still have their previous account!
Tokens to acquire gear will be provided in-game.


4. I encountered an issue on the PTS, what can I do?
We won't provide custom support for issues on the PTS, including, but not limited to, issues around your character, items or the server itself. Please do not contact our customer support for any PTS-inquiries, as no support can be provided. Instead please make sure to report your findings in the special forum thread, as detailed above.


5. Any known issues I should be aware of?
Due to the nature of this test, the server might be unavailable sporadically, or for a prolonged period of time. Otherwise, the same client as for the live servers is used, and as such most functions should work correctly.
Please note:
• No HP Gauges will be displayed above the bosses in Harrowhold. This is unfortunately intended, but partially remedied by an alternative display.
• Some other content on this test system has been deactivated during this test window, as the focus lies on Harrowhold.


6. Can players from the NA region also participate?
Yes. However, please note that the server for this test is located in Europe, so you may encounter a high ping or lags.


7. What content is in Patch 100?
For a general overview, please have a look into our Patch Preview we released: Patch Notes 100.
For the Event Dungeons specifically, please note that every player can only enter the Harrowhold raid once per cleared phase, just like on the later live servers.


8. There is two servers, but I can't access them?
Only the test system "W2 Atmorph (Beta)" is open to the public. If you cannot access this world, please double-check if your client is patched correctly. Alternatively, it could be that the server is overflowing with players in the worst-case scenario, and you will need to wait a little.
The system "W1 Baldrov (internal)" is not intended for public access.


9. Why is X or Y missing?
This test system might not contain all the settings we're used to on the live servers. This includes, but is not limited to, events, token and NPC stores, dungeon drops or similar.

With patch 100, things are heating up this winter – the Sky Cruiser’s back and it’s been completely reworked. While Darkan’s new to the MMO, you can choose from three more heroes in TERA Battle Arena: Rhodos, Niniel, and Kaia!

Enter long-forgotten instances that are now being reopened in Europe, America, Russia, and South East Asia!
NPCs for entering the dungeons and exchanging event rewards await you in the center of Highwatch.

Harrowhold
* 20-player dungeon for item level 457–473
* One weekly entry with 4 phases
* Reward for all party members for each phase
* No Adventure Coins required
* Special “God Slayer” title for the fifth completion of phase 4
* After completing a phase, the instance or group can be left and continued at a later point with any group
* Phases are reset every Tuesday

Timescape (Hard)
* 5-player dungeon for item level 484
* Two daily entries (four for club members)
* Entry costs 150 Adventure Coins
* Reward similar to Draakon Arena (Hard) with event extras
* Special “Time Lord” title for the 100th time Valona is defeated

* No limit on weekly entries

[h2]TERA Battle Arena: New Heroes[/h2]
Choose from three new heroes!

Rhodos
You’ll already know him as the commander of the Khirian Resistance in northern Arun—and now you can also play as this brawler in the TERA Battle Arena!
Rhodos specializes in pounding his opponents in melee combat, storming into the fray, and launching his opponents into the air.

Niniel
This gunner stays on the move while attacking her opponents. With her Heart Bomb skill, Niniel can enchant her opponents so that they run toward her uncontrollably, and with Balder’s Vengeance she has a unique gunner skill that deals massive damage to her enemies.

Kaia
The almighty warrior Kaiator, guardian goddess of Kaiator, joins the action bearing her greatsword to teach all enemies of Kaiator the meaning of fear.
She strikes down her opponents in a large area around herself with powerful blows from her greatsword.

General and Balancing
Every hero now has an additional ability that you can use to quickly stand up again when you have been knocked down. Additionally, you’ll also be immune to similar effects for 2 seconds after using this skill.
(You will not find this skill in your skill bar; it is only shown when it can be used, and it has a 60-second cooldown.)

[h2]TERA Battle Arena – Miscellaneous[/h2]

Achievements
In addition to the heroes, there have also been some other improvements. You will be able to unlock the achievements from patch 100 onwards. There’s a reward of 10 Arena Coins per achievement.

New Options
In the options (“O”) you can now also decide whether the name of the character currently in focus should be highlighted or not
It is now also possible to move the skills around in the skill bar, arranging them to your liking.

There’s cause for celebration in TERA – from today, American players can continue their adventures on the new Gameforge servers. We’re very pleased to see our TERA family grow and want to say a massive welcome to all the new players from everyone at Gameforge!

Players from America who haven’t yet migrated their accounts from En Masse Entertainment to Gameforge can still do that here– it’s easy as pie. You can find more details on the migration summed up in our FAQ .

New players and players who have already migrated to Gameforge can download and play TERA via our Gameforge Client .

Anyone who previously played the game via their Steam account can simply download it on Steam . Just please make sure to select the right region, as North America and Europe are distinct regions here.

Additional Information
Leaderboard: The next season (PvE and PvP) will start on Monday, 23rd of November at 09:00 CET in all servers.
• Please note that the new date might not be properly displayed in the ingame UI.

Known Issue
• The TERA website will be temporarily unavailable due to a technical issue. We will have more information about this tomorrow.
• The Founder Status is missing. Our team is already aware of the issue, once we have more information, we will let you know.
• Several Riding Skill names are missing, this will be fixed with the upcoming patch.

[h2]Sky Cruiser (Hard)[/h2]
Darkan has returned with only one thing on his mind: the complete and utter destruction of your sky cruiser! If you’re to foil his plans, you’re going to need all the courage you can muster. This battle is tougher than ever before, with the combat area shrinking down to a tiny sliver as the searing flames spread.
You can enter this new dungeon from item level 484 once per day (or twice for Club members).

[h2]Three New TBA Heroes[/h2]
From patch 100 you can choose from three more heroes in TERA Battle Arena:
* The brawler Rhodos pulls no punches with those mighty powerfists. He’s already earned a reputation for himself in the MMO story.
* Niniel’s a gunner who uses skills of delusion to lull her enemies before blasting them into smithereens.
* The slayer Kaia is a goddess of Kaiator. She loves letting opponents in the arena taste the business end of her greatsword.
