Howdy, friends of SteamWorld!

First of all: It's so awesome to see you all playing our SteamWorld Build demo - thanks a bunch for sharing your time with us! We received so much good and valuable feedback, and also a lot of praise - so from the bottom of our hearts: Thank you all so much! ❤️

And secondly: You can watch us (that's Sofie from dev The Station, as well as Julian and Tim) play some SteamWorld Build in the broadcast player on the Steam page later today. The stream will include some areas of the underworld of SteamWorld Build that have not been publicly shown so far - so be prepared!

Feel free to tune in at 5.30pm CET / 8:30am PST and join us! We'll talk a bit about SteamWorld Build in general, the idea behind the game, and much more.

Once again, it's about time for the fabulous Steam Next Fest! Until June 26 hundreds of demos are live here on Steam, connected to hundreds of streams, developer specials, and much more. Exciting times for sure, and you definitely don't want to miss this! ːsteamhappyː

Are you ready for a deeper dive into SteamWorld Build? A brand-new trailer debuted at the Future Games Show last weekend, showing more gameplay of our multi-level city-building experience that tasks you with constructing a thriving town above ground, while mining resources and dealing with monsters below:

As the architect of a SteamWorld mining town, break ground and raise houses for your steambot citizens, keep them fed and provide some rootin'-tootin' entertainment. Venture into the abandoned mine sitting under your town, rumoured to be filled with ancient tech that holds the key to escaping impending doom.

Using the natural resources above ground and the abundant ores buried below, expand your town, stimulate new residential tiers to join the quest to dig deeper, unearth untold riches and ultimately help them to hightail it off the planet!

And in the case you haven't done yet, you can dug deeper into SteamWorld Build with the demo, that will also be part of the Steam Next Fest starting June 19.

Like an onion, or a baklava, SteamWorld Build has layers. What at first seems like a pretty straightforward city builder just keeps expanding and opening up as you play. After four hours with an early preview build, I'm still left wondering exactly how deep this rabbit hole goes...
