We’re excited to announce that a demo for GladiEATers will feature at the Games Showcase section of SXSW Sydney![/h3]



[h3]SXSW Sydney is one of the largest media events in the world, where people gather to celebrate the best upcoming music, films, TV shows, and games!

The Games Showcase portion of the event will be located in the UTS Great Hall from Thursday October 16th to Sunday October 21st, so don’t forget to check out our demo if you’re at the event. Due to the long travel times, no members of the developer or publisher team are able to be present at the event, but the demo will be showcased by some wonderful volunteers![/h3]

As a tactics game based on cooking, we thought it would be proper to apply the same etiquette to combat, which is why we’re featuring in Turn-Based RPG Fest![/h3]

Since GladiEATers is a turn-based RPG at heart, we thought it would be a perfect fit for the event.

In GladiEATers, you’ll be able to take on the role of 8 different Combat Chefs, each with their own preferred ingredients and unique styles of cooking. Once you’ve chosen your chef, you’ll have a certain amount of time to prepare your food monster army in a variety of cooking mini-games.

The further along you get in your run, the longer you’ll have to cook, which will allow you to either go wide with a huge army of smaller monsters or go tall with one powerful and complex monster. Will you focus all of your time on producing one perfect ratatouille or overwhelm your opponent with a massive serving of simple boiled eggs?

That’s why we’ve decided to officially partner with publisher Kwalee to release GladiEATers![/h3]

In GladiEATers, you’ll get to choose from one of eight Combat Chefs, each specialised in their own style of cuisine. Complete a series of delightful cooking mini-games to form your food-based monsters and then command them in turn-based battles to become champion of the CALosseum!

Be warned though, it’s up to you how you spend your cooking time. Will you cook up a single complex-but-powerful ratatouille or overwhelm your opponent with a massive serving of simple boiled eggs?

Get ready to crush your opponents with courgettes, bash them with bread, and terrorize them with tomatoes!

Now that we have a publisher, we will no longer be launching in Early Access, since the extra funding and resources means we can focus all of our efforts on a 1.0 launch. There may still be possibilities to playtest in the future though, so keep your eyes peeled 👀

We’re excited to announce that we’ve been chosen to feature in PixElated Festival![/h3]



In GladiEATers, you’ll play as the world’s best Combat Chefs and cook up teams of powerful food monsters to command in turn-based battles.

But why have we been included as part of PixElated Festival?

Presented by Brave At Night, PixElated is a digital festival celebrating beautiful pixel art games. From retro-style classics to contemporary indie gems, this event showcases a selection of Adventure and RPG pixel-art games all in one place!

As an RPG turn-based battler with a veritable buffet of pixel art, GladiEATers was a natural fit for this event. While the character portraits of the Combat Chefs have all been hand-drawn, the Combat Chefs in battle and the food monsters were all delicately cooked up by the terrifically talented pixel artists Juan Rosa and Ash Fenix respectively.
