Patch 0.9.4 - Hotfix

HOTFIX

Once you picked up a Sonic Boom powerup, it didn't deactivate and push all enemies back for the whole run. This hotfix patch fixes that and makes the Sonic Boom powerup work as expected.

Patch 0.9.3 - September 29, 2023

Commanders, we have a fresh new update for Survivor Mercs. "Thank you!" to everyone who helped us find and fix some issues and adjust the balancing for the progression a bit more.

The big new thing in this update is the Chinese translation.

We are already working on more languages - which one do you want to see next?

Of course we continue with further improvements, but we now focus more our first major update. Stay tuned for the upcoming announcements and keep the feedback coming via the Steam forums and our Discord server!

  • Replaced the font with a more readable one that supports a wider array of languages.
  • Added translations for Chinese (simplified) and Chinese (traditional).
  • Fixed an issue where "Quaker" Commanders no longer dealt damage.
  • Added and fixed many instances of missing sound FX.
  • Fixed the Boss arenas still not clearing the area reliably, potentially causing issues that warp you or the Boss out of the arena.
  • Adjusted some UI popups for better clarity.
  • Added the missing "oil spill" attack for Boss OilRig (but it may still be buggy).
  • Added total HP number to your Commander's and miniboss' HP bar in the HUD.
  • Fixed an issue where the selection in the Operations menu was jumping around.
  • Minibosses now explode when killed, making it more noticeable (and cool!).
  • Enemies now shatter in a more satisfying way when defeated, also helping a bit with overview.
  • Silverback should no longer get stuck in obstacles.
  • Treasury now works like all other rooms and needs components for upgrades. It has fewer total levels, but each level grants a more significant bonus.
  • Gym, Magnetron, Shooting Range, and Academy have lower requirements to build them at level 1.
  • Many Bunker Rooms have been slightly adjusted to get some of the initial bonuses earlier.
  • Storage level-ups now tell more understandably that it multiplies the stack size for each Component.
  • The Operations Room shows some basic additional information about your Operation Type (currently only "Standard"), the Boss on the map, and which and how many building components you found on that map - and which ones you can't find there.
  • The Room building menus now highlight the requirements to understand more easily what you still need for the next upgrade.
  • When playing with gamepad, your mouse cursor should now be correctly disabled.
  • Priest correctly increases your Commander's HP with Field Medicine or Crusader skill lanes.
  • Calling in an Extraction now shows an additional hint to understand what to do, especially if you do it the first time.



[h3]Known Issues[/h3]
We continue improving the game and work on fixing these issues soon:

  • Nubetube & Curveball sometimes re-acquire different targets and deviate partially from their attack pattern
  • When using a Gamepad, the button bindings do not show up correctly in the bunker menus.
  • The progression of Room Upgrades is soft-locked at a certain upgrade level since some of the components required to upgrade the rooms are not yet dropping in the map. This will only become available once additional maps go into the game with the future Early Access updates.
  • The Operations menu shows an active “Select” button while the Arctic map is still locked. Using it does not change the map, you will still play the Desert map until the Arctic map is unlocked.
  • Sounds stack when capturing objectives, spiking to uncomfortable volume levels.
  • You can get stuck in an animation when dying while using a powerup until the powerup animation ends.
  • Reaper’s gun ignores Piercing and can penetrate everything
  • Some objective sentries can spawn inside of other buildings
  • The run can potentially not end when you kill the boss, leaving you stuck on the map.
  • You may not be able to select the Arctic Map when you have 0 BD (you need at least 1 BD.



Lock, load, and loot, Commanders!

Patch 0.9.2 - September 20, 2023

Commanders, a big "thank you!" once again for helping us reproduce some nasty bugs with the bosses, spot some unobtainable unlocks, and learn some new strategies and squad builds, among many other things you suggested and brought to our attention.

We have fixed the most annoying bugs and addressed lots of balancing issues in this patch update. Of course, this is a continuous process, so please keep the feedback flowing via the Steam forums and our Discord server!

  • Fixed Bosses spawning on objects and potentially getting stuck or warping itself or your whole squad out of the arena
  • Fixed an issue where the Oilrig Boss was not dropping Blood Diamonds & loot
  • Fixed an issue with the missile and compartment speeds of PhenX
  • Fixed Genome Lab percentages displaying over 100%
  • Added “Research Complete” tag when trait was fully researched
  • Fixed unlock requirements for Binoculars and Neurotoxins that were previously unobtainable
  • Fixed removing or deleting items from your inventory when you click them in your right Storage window while you are in the “buy” menu
  • Added “Insufficient funds” tag when buying something in the Storage with empty inventory and 0 funds
  • Adjusted the building requirements for level 1 rooms to be easier to build after some initial first extractions on Desert
  • Added UI elements to the end-of-run Inventory screen to communicate better when you lost your collected loot after falling in battle
  • Improved Overdrive powerup VFX
  • Priest’s healing VFX now change depending on her chosen skill tree
  • Fixed Curveball & Nubetube grenade speeds to sync VFX with explosion
  • Fixed Anti-Priest skill tree path not showing up
  • Fixed Priest’s AoE not scaling correctly with the skill upgrades
  • Fixed Priest not correctly increasing the Commander’s HP
  • Improved Critter’s range, attack speed, and base penetration
  • Curveball and Nubetube now rotate their attack patterns toward the targeted enemies to shoot more effectively
  • Reduced Shredder’s Buckshot damage, slightly increased time between shots, and increased Buckshot bullet spread
  • Reduced the damage and attack speed bonus for the “Infiltrator” Commander trait but added small AoE bonus
  • Added the fantastic Wolpertinger pets to the Credits
  • Inverted the way required resources are displayed for room building and upgrading
  • Improved text for unlock requirements to add more clarity
  • Fixed various typos and DE translations
  • Adjusted unlock requirements for various Gear items
  • Fixed the UI updating immediately when unlocking a new Map
  • Twitch button in Settings now changes to “Unlink” button if linking was successful
  • Twitch streamers can now set the poll duration in Settings to adjust the time, Twitch chat has to vote
  • Improved: Twitch integration now prevents bot names from being shown as miniboss names

Patch 0.9.1 - September 15, 2023

Commanders, thanks a lot for reporting lots of bugs and issues via the Steam forums and our Discord server.

We have fixed various issues already, including a much-asked-for adjustment for the balancing of requirements to build and upgrade rooms in your Bunker HQ.

  • Fixed unlock conditions for the Arctic map are now prominently visible in the Operations menu & in the Pause menu Mission tab
  • Fixed dropping or selling Loot from your inventories - both at the end of a run and in the Storage room - now immediately reflect the change of stack size for the respective Loot item;
  • Fixed broken Storage menu UI layout (text and containers were offset);
  • Fixed description boxes in room buttons of Bunker covering artworks. Now they only show once you hover/select the button
  • Fixed room selection jumping back to top after excavating or building a new room;
  • Fixed missing explanations and errors in loca;
  • Fixed the total amount of Gear or Mercs unlocked not showing in the Armory and Barracks;
  • Fixed: Hail’s Ripper Ammo skill tree now grants the correct 10% crit chance;
  • Fixed: Some projectiles & grenade shrapnel could pass through enemies without dealing damage;
  • Fixed: Bosses could receive damage twice per hit;
  • Fixed: Achievements should now unlock correctly;
  • Fixed: Certain buttons and UI elements could overlap and cause issues
  • Fixed: Critter & Hail now have the correct magazine capacity set by default;
  • Added: Auto-screenshot feature at the end of the run that saves your highscore into a "screenshots" folder;
  • Improved: adjusted the requirements to build and upgrade rooms to reduce the amount of successful operations necessary to build up your Bunker HQ
  • Fixed: Bosses should now play a more consistent damage feedback
  • Added some missing entries to the credits


[h3]Known Issues[/h3]
We are working on these fixing these issues at the moment:
  • You can encounter a boss and get teleported out of the arena
  • The boss can get stuck in the arena walls or teleport out of the arena
  • Silverback can get stuck in Objective crates or sandbag walls
  • The progression of Room Upgrades is soft-locked at a certain upgrade level since some of the components required to upgrade the rooms are not yet dropping in the map. This will only become available once additional maps go into the game with the future Early Access updates.
