Fortune: Rewritten News

It's been a few days since we've fully released Fortune Rewritten. We've been listening to your feedback, (thanks for that by the way!), and we've decided to drop the latest patch, that should address some issues, a tad bit early.

Before we properly go into the patch notes, we just wanted to give a big thank you to everyone who's played our game. Fortune Rewritten is our first real project, and we are committed to improving it. Your feedback is very much appreciated!


[h3]PATCH NOTES:[/h3]

• Improvements made to UI; cleaner layout and UI effects improved
  

• Code refactoring: changes and fixes made to the code that should slightly improve performance, but overall should improve stability
  

• Shop: Fixed incorrect price display for certain cosmetics
  

• Shop: Updated layout to place more cosmetics into the shop at one time
  

• Settings: Additional category added: Sound
  

• Misc: Music tracks volume adjusted and soundtracks improved
  

• Misc: Properly updated the map with Halloween decorations
  

If you don't automatically see the update, please restart your steam client!

We plan to have a few more small patches that should address some of the remaining issues before we start our work on the next major update for the game.

Hello fellas!

It's been quite awhile since we've given you all an update about how things are going behind the scenes. We hope you all are doing well, and we figured that we should give you something before this year ends.

Development has been going well. Right now, our biggest priority is tackling the online & multiplayer features of the game. Once that is done, we'll have to playtest, sort out bugs, and then release!

[h2]The 2023 Roadmap[/h2]

We're going to talk about our plans for the game leading up to, and after the release of the game. Please note that this is a rough draft of our roadmap of 2023, this features some of out plans and ideas for what we want to do with this game. Feedback is welcome!



We're still planning and working on fully polishing out this roadmap. Additionally, we've taken more time to work on the game, and the release of Fortune is now sighted for a Spring 2023 release. We're slowly, but surely, taking our time to fully polish out the game since our last playtest. Core features of the game have now been implemented, and we're now working on solving the remaining issues and polishing them out.

We have high hopes for making this game the best possible player experience, and we're working hard to accomplish this goal. We really cannot wait for you all to get your hands on this product, and as always, we'll try our best to share with you as much information as we can when the time comes.


A few more things are on the horizon, and are getting ready to be revealed. But of course, that will be revealed and talked about in due time, but for now, we though we should give just a small devlog. We hope to talk to you all again soon, and we hope all of you stay safe!

The Fortune Halloween Beta is now live available on Steam!



It's been hard waiting, but we're super excited to finally say that beta Fortune Rewritten is official live on Steam! We plan to have issues with the game, and will be working on fixes leading to the end of the beta.

We decided that the registration didn't really matter, and decided to open up the playtest to all players! So hop in and give the game a shot!

We also plan to monitor the game during the launch for any issues players might experience, so please feel free to tell us any issues you may have.

Please note that during the playtest, online features will not accessible, meaning that you cannot play online with other players. We know that this is disappointing, but we still need more time to properly work on the online portions of the game, therefore it will not be included in this playtest.

The progress you make, will be saved, and you'll be able to restore your progress in the full release of the game.


Please note that this is a playtest, and that features might not work or the game might be very buggy. Nothing is final, and the game does use temporarily recycled assets.

Who's ready to get scared? We know we are! With the release of Fortune getting ever so closer, we thought it's time to show something about the game. Starting Friday, October 28 to Saturday, November 4, the Halloween playtest for Fortune will be live! Registration for the playtest will start Friday, October 21 and ends Tuesday, October 25th

[h3]So why are we doing this exactly?[/h3]

Well, we want the release of Fortune to be as perfect as it can be. Getting player feedback prior to release is extremely important and valuable to us. Plus, we couldn't wait to let players try the game out, and we figured now is the chance!

[h3]So what's in it for you?[/h3]

Halloween is a scare fest, and Fortune is no exception! (sort of.) By playing in our Halloween playtest, you'll earn limited-time cosmetics that will not be released in the launch of the full game. So basically, exclusive items!
