UNITED 1944 Update I is NOW LIVE



Hello everyone!

We're happy to announce the rollout of the first regular update for UNITED 1944. This update includes numerous fixes, improvements, and additions, such as the new self-revive skill, along with German, French, and Italian localization.

[h3]Support Skill Tree Overhaul[/h3]

In this latest update, our focus has been on enriching and refining the gameplay options available to players who opt for the support role, emphasizing their skills and contributions to the team. We've implemented significant revisions to the Combat Medic class, where in players can now revive others more swiftly, with the healed life gradually replenishing over time.

[h3]Introducing the Stim Pistol[/h3]

Ever wanted a gun that mends wounds rather than inflicting them? Enter the Stim Pistol, inspired by the OSS Flying Dragon. This craftable, single-use, silent gas-powered handgun fires chemical darts capable of healing and reviving downed comrades from a distance. Additionally, it serves as a consumable for self-healing.

[h3]Self-Revive Skill[/h3]

A brand-new skill, Self-Revive, grants players the ability to resuscitate themselves once if they become incapacitated—a lifeline for those in dire situations, offering a second chance at survival.

[h3]Skill Tree Update[/h3]

Incorporating these new skills and carefully analyzing community feedback and data, we've meticulously restructured the skill tree and player progression. This comprehensive rework caters to both domination and survivor game modes, aiming to create a balanced yet engaging escalation of action during matches.

[h3]Content Progression Pack[/h3]

We've introduced a diverse array of player customization options, including the iconic German Feldgrau outfit, a customizable Smatchet knife, and a new weapon charm to adorn your arsenal.

[h3]Localization for German, French & Italian[/h3]

To foster a more inclusive global community, we've expanded language support to include German, French, and Italian, enabling more players to immerse themselves in the game.

[h3]Quality of Life Enhancements, Bug Fixes & More[/h3]

We've dedicated efforts to enhance various aspects of the game, refining overall usability to provide the most gratifying gaming experience possible.

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]

Community feedback has been instrumental in enhancing the game. Here are some of the issues we've addressed in this update:
  • Rectified a bug where spy radios failed to detect enemies if the planting player exited the match.
  • Resolved minor localization issues across the game.
  • Fixed animation bugs during the transition from crouched aiming to standing hipfire.
  • Addressed animation errors in weapon inspections and reloading sequences for the Makeshift SMG and Gewehr.
  • Corrected diverse UI issues, encompassing HUD elements, in-game menus, and the main menu.
  • Fixed an issue where the HUD failed to properly display the threat from explosives, risking inaccurate damage assessment.
  • Solved various bugs related to the squad extraction flare countdown display.
  • Resolved issues where Safe Boxes' HUD widgets were not properly displayed for nearby players or were incorrectly positioned after opening.

[0.60] Hotfix

Hello everyone!

A hotfix is planned for this Friday, December 15th at 9:00 AM CET to address recent issues you've reported. This will temporarily impact game server stability as we implement the fix. We expect this to take about 1 hour. Apologies for any inconvenience caused - we'll work swiftly to restore normal gameplay for you. Please note that Survivor servers will be reset with the hotfix, so extract before 9:15 AM CET. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Below you can find the complete list of fixes and improvements:
  • Quick Match Functionality: Added a Quick Match button for swift entry into the best available Domination game mode match automatically.
  • Stability Improvement: Resolved an issue where specific users were kicked out from matches upon entry.
  • Matchmaking Refinements: Addressed multiple matchmaking and player statistics errors.
  • Player Progression Update: Ensured accurate updating of player stats and objectives following survivor matches.
  • Chat System Enhancement: Rectified a bug in the Text Chat Toxicity System, allowing it to censor inappropriate words more accurately.
  • UI Enhancement: Aligned columns in the Survivors Scoreboard for better readability and consistency.
  • Twitch drops: Restocked Twitch promotional items, ensuring rightful access for their respective owners.
  • Improved Server Navigation: Enhanced the server list by sorting and grouping servers based on regions, facilitating easier browsing.
  • First-Time User Fix: Corrected an issue causing first-time users to be redirected to the main menu upon joining a multiplayer match.

UNITED 1944 Available Now on Early Access

We’re thrilled to celebrate today’s Early Access launch of UNITED 1944, our innovative multiplayer FPS title set in World War II.

Featuring two game modes, three large maps, more than 20 weapons, and over 40 skills, UNITED 1944 is a new twist on WWII action featuring extraction-based survival gameplay and classic domination modes. Players can jump right into the fury of the largest battles of WWII spanning from the French Countryside and Northern Africa, to D-Day France, all while taking part in 16v16 battles of classic domination! Whether you’re scavenging for resources, defending outposts, fortifying bases, crafting your gear, or just fighting the enemy to the last, there’s lots to do and the battles are rooted in realistic but fun gameplay.

In addition to the classic domination mode, players will also be able to jump into the unique extraction-based Survivor mode, where everyone’s an enemy and survival is anything but guaranteed. Look for resources, explore the city, and set up improvised bases anywhere as you fight for survival. Build, raid, kill, steal, scavenge, and destroy as you need for survival. We're dedicated to enhancing UNITED1944 to provide a richer and more immersive experience. Our latest update introduces an innovative progression system centered around weekly missions. By completing these missions, players unlock rewards to access new cosmetics and diverse customization options, empowering players to craft unique identities for their characters and personalize their arsenal.
[h3]French Countryside[/h3]
We are proud to introduce a whole new map for both game modes, French Countryside, setted in rural France, where military strongholds and old windmills survey vast extensions of open fields scarred by the remains of an airborne assault.
[h3]Makeshift SMG[/h3]
Introducing the latest addition to our growing arsenal of makeshift weaponry: the Makeshift SMG! Following the community's enthusiastic reception of our previous makeshift weapons, we aimed to diversify our collection further. Inspired by the iconic design of the Polish Bechowiec submachine gun, our Makeshift SMG features a distinctive top slide. Good for a cheap spray and pray up close.
[h3]Toxicity System in Text Chat[/h3]
UNITED 1944 thrives on teamwork and effective communication among players. To preserve the cooperative spirit of the game and prevent disruptive behaviors like griefing, a new Text Chat feature has been implemented with an advanced toxicity detection system.
[h3]Inverted Mouse[/h3]
By popular demand UNITED1944 now offers the Inverted Mouse option in the general Game Settings, one of the most requested accessibility options by the community. We aim to make the game enjoyable by a broad spectrum of players, so your feedback is key for accomplishing this vision.
[h3]Quality of life improvements, bug fixes & more[/h3]
We have reviewed usability and interface as well some aspects & features like the brightness, DirectX options, and more. Credits have been added to the game, so now you can check the complete list of people involved in the development of UNITED 1944. We also tackled a selection of critical bugs and issues in our objective to consistently deliver a gameplay experience that's incredibly solid and smooth with every release.

[h3]FIXES[/h3]
Thanks to all the players that have joined previous betas, to everyone that shared their feedback during this road towards Early Access, thanks for your love and support, all our team has been working very hard to deliver the most stable version of the UNITED1944. For this release the following bugs and issues had been fixed:
  • Fixed several issues with the info of players that reconnect to the same match after leaving the match or closing the game.
  • Fixed an error that made the players that destroyed an enemy base remain in enemy territory after its destruction.
  • Fixed several UI issues related to the extraction zones both for Loot & Players
  • Fixed an error that made the rim light effect on enemies being displayed on allies.
  • Fixed in match experience and level-up issues after level 21.
  • Fixed some UI message errors after delivering secret documents in HQ.
  • Several fixes in characters animation both in first and third person.
  • Fixed a bug that corrupted enemies outpost kit after continuous inventory transactions.
  • Several fixes and improvements made to the construction & structures stability system.
  • Fixed a bug that hides the sniper scope UI aiming down sight while using the Ping UI.
  • Several fixes in the UI in game options.
  • Fixed some UI errors in the Headquarter UI after being destroyed.
