Dark Agartha: Now Available

A STEP IN TIME

We stand at the end of all. Chaos and darkness reign, the ravaged remains of Gaia now infested with extradimensional interlopers known only as The Wandering Others. Something, or someone, has called upon you to enter this timeline and race to the end. At what cost, or for what reason, is unknown. It’s up to you to discover the truth.

Dark Agartha is accessible once you reach Level 50. To begin your expeditions, visit a Bounty Board in regular Agartha to be assigned a mission that guides you to the entrance.

There are no jump pads nor easy access points to this platform – you’ll need to take a leap of faith. Gaia may not necessarily want to stop you from entering, but certainly doesn’t wish to assist you getting there!





LIFE, UH, FINDS A WAY

Once inside the portal, you’ll find your path impeded by turbulent energies. While your first visit is free, repeat attempts require a fee to cross into darkness. The price: a portion of your Anima, in the form of AP and SP.

What challenges await you in Dark Agartha? Intense, one-on-one battles with The Wandering Others, each fight designed to challenge the wits and skills of even the most seasoned agents! You may expect four such encounters in each foray into Dark Agartha, followed by a fifth and final encounter with a certain someone…

Now, even when attuned to the timeline, your link to Dark Agartha is tenuous…at best. As such, you only have 17 minutes to complete your mission! Additionally, dying loosens your foothold in the timeline, allowing you three total attempts in Dark Agartha before you’re ejected. Should you fail to complete your run, you may re-attune yourself to the timeline (and pay the AP + SP) to try again.



SHUFFLE THE DECK

When you triumph in Dark Agartha, you may re-enter the next day…and face new challenges each time! Actions taken every day affect the future, causing a different timestream to be attuned every day, randomizing and shuffling – not only changing what creature you may face, but their skills and supplemental effects during the encounter. While the final challenge is always against the same entity, the way they engage you may yet differ.

This also means you may face the same type of adversary on different days, but how you approach the challenge may change altogether.



THE EDUCATION PROTOCOL

Dark Agartha is intended to be a serious challenge for hardened players, but there’s ways to gain the upper hand. An ill-fated Custodian at Dark Agartha’s entrance holds a stock of consumable items you can purchase to assist in your mission! These items range from extra lives, extended time limits, and temporary power boosts.

What can you expect out of Dark Agartha? To begin, you can look forward to Elaborate Glyph Imbuers that can jack your Glyphs up to a new, 4th power tier!

Later, you can expect a similar treatment for Talismans, too…

The rift is open! Dark Agartha challenges you to a race against time in a world fallen to an apocalyptic fate. The Wandering Others - denizens of the now-ravaged hollow earth - await your descent in intense one-on-one encounters designed to truly test your mettle. Powerful rewards await you, should you overcome the gauntlet…

GENERAL
  • Attempting to use the Sanguine Kitty item will give you 250 Anima Shards if already owned.
  • Mysterious Jack-o'-lantern can be consumed for Anima Shards.
  • Item power now correctly scales with pips. This may mean that some players using 1 or 2 pip talismans, weapons, or glyphs may see their item power on the character sheet decrease slightly after the patch. The stat increases provided by items has not changed - only their contribution to a character's overall item power.
  • Activity Finder now checks your character's highest known item power instead of your current item power.
  • Using Immutable while Last Rites is equipped will no longer disable both death protection effects.
  • Disabled the New Dawn Collector's Edition popup on login. If you still wish to purchase the Collector's Edition, the icon to open it is still present on the topbar.


DRESSING ROOM
  • Black Watchmen coat and hoodie items will now display the correct colors.
  • Male characters have correct previews for the Carapace of Gaia head and hand pieces.
  • Army combat pants Blue/Filth has correct preview icon for male characters.



AGENT NETWORK
  • Stonehenge is more likely to reward agent Lady of the Mists.
  • Jeronimo missions have standard mission timers.


ACTIVITY FINDER
  • Players must now be alive to enter activities.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – Samhain is here!  Join us around the fire from October 11 through November 1.

THE BROADCAST

New to Secret World Legends is The Broadcast , beginning with a phone call from Dave Screed. Travel the world and unravel the Numbers Station phenomenon! What secrets does The Presenter keep? If you’ve completed the story up through Black Sun, Red Sand and are Level 50, you’ll receive a message from Dave Screed to start the mission. You may also seek him out directly in NYC if you choose!

Seasoned agents can look forward to scaling difficulty modes, as seen from the recently-released Faction Ranking missions and Occult Defence!



DAILY EVENT LOGIN REWARDS

Trick or Treat! Well, mostly treats. Get yourself some fancy spooky extras just for logging in during the event, including a FREE Pale Horse mount for the first day! Login rewards include a Mysterious Jack-O-Lantern locked by a mysterious force – defeat Jack during a Public Raid to open one!

JACK CAME BACK, THE VERY NEXT DAY

The insidious Jack of the Lantern has once again set his sights on the heart of the world tree, thirsting for its Anima and to claim its power as his own. Not without its defense mechanisms, Agartha has isolated the threat and now it’s up to you to rally together and take Jack head-on!

Every hour, a portal near the center of Agartha opens, leading you and fellow agents deep in the tree’s branches where Jack has been captured. In this 40-person raid, combat statistics are normalized through the Equal Footing effect, so anyone can hop in and contribute! The only prerequisite is to have reached Jack Boone in the main story.

When you defeat Jack, you are empowered with an Anima Surge, allowing you to open a Mysterious Jack-O-Lantern obtained from your daily event login rewards.
