New game (Alone With You) launching February 9!

Hey, all! It's been a long time since I launched Home here on Steam, and I appreciate all the players, discussions and friendly arguments this game has encouraged!

I'm pleased to announce that Alone With You, my newest title, is finally launching on Steam. You can view the store page and put it on your wishlist here.

I wrote a little intro post about AWY over on that page, but here's a snippet:

Alone With You is a "sci-fi romance adventure" — and it's a bit like a Star Trek episode crossed with a dating sim, but a whole lot more tragic. It's meaty (average 4–6 hours of gameplay, but it can be more!), and has lots to offer players who like exploring, learning about the world, and really getting to know some "remarkably well-written" characters (Gamespot said that, not us).

Like Home, it's a narrative-focused game where your choices affect things, but this time around, the story itself is more detailed, more substantial, and will tug your heartstrings in all sorts of unexpected directions.

I'll be posting more behind-the-scenes details on the game leading up to launch, so I hope to see you there!

UPDATE - v1.5.2 should fix Windows launch issues

So sorry to everyone who experienced this nasty bug!

Installing the 1.5.2 update on Windows should solve the issue where the game crashed on launch.

Please note that there is an issue with Windows 10 throwing up an error when you quit the game. Nothing is lost, and everything quits fine -- we're trying to track down why this error appears, and will get another update out ASAP.

UPDATE - v1.5.1 brings Steam Achievements (finally!)

I know it's been a (much too) long time coming, but Home for Steam finally gets achievements today.

These are available on both PC and Mac, and should give you some fun incentive to explore some alternate routes throughout the game.

As well, v1.5.1 delivers:

- improved windowed mode support on PC
- working windowed mode for Windows 10
- a few GUI tweaks here and there

Thanks for continuing to play the game. :-)

UPDATE - Home v1.5.0 supports HD resolutions and more

Hey everyone! Thanks for continuing to play Home and discuss the game.

Today's update (for PC and Mac) adds a few new things:

• proper 16:9 widescreen support (will look great on your TV!)
• main titles now support 720p and 1080p resolutions
• improved controls for Xinput controllers; see below
• various bug fixes and tweaks (especially for Mac)

About the updated controls

With an Xbox 360 or Xbox One controller, you can now use "X" to progress through text, instead of having to press down on the analogue stick. It's a little change, but it improves things quite a bit.

Enjoy the update!
