Toxic Commando - Vehicles

Hello Commandos!
[p]

[/p][p]In today’s blog, we’re going to cover the different vehicles you’ll get to drive in Toxic Commando.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Vehicles are a key feature in the game. Even though long walks may be good cardio, they can be quite dangerous. Vehicles provide a safer and faster way to travel during missions, plus, a cool bonus is that passengers can actually shoot at enemies right through the windows!. [/p][p]Each vehicle has its own characteristics and a special ability, which we’re going to detail below. You’ll be able to customize the visuals of the vehicles by changing the lights, the paintjob, the horn sound and by adding graffiti.[/p][p]You'll need gas to drive around, so keep an eye out for gasoline jerrycans during your missions to fill up (or switch to another vehicle, that works too)! [/p][p]Enemies can deal damage to you and to your vehicle, so:[/p]
 • [p]It's best to repair your vehicle before it gets totally trashed.[/p]
 • [p]If it does get wrecked, you can still fix it, but you'll need a spare part.[/p]
 • [p]Seriously, repair it before it's completely destroyed, you'll definitely want to save those precious spare parts![/p]
[p]

[/p]
The Maverick
[p]
[/p][p][/p][p]

[/p][p]The Maverick is an exceptional off-road vehicle designed to navigate and overcome even the most treacherous terrain. Equipped with a powerful winch for mobility and strong bullbars to easily roll over zombies, it is built for durability and defense. A squad member can utilize the mounted Heavy Machine Gun turret to actively defend the vehicle from enemies. Its Special Ability, the EMP Blast, provides a crucial defensive advantage, allowing the crew to eliminate roamers surrounding the vehicle.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]
[/p]
The Grit
[p]
[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]The Grit is a pickup truck that carries gas canisters and can use a winch to conquer though terrain easily. Its Special Ability is the Landmine: you deploy up to three EMP mines that explode multiple times after activation. Ideal when you are being chased by a pack of roamers.[/p][p]The Grit comes with two slots for gas canisters. The cool thing is, these canisters auto-refill after you use them, so you can really burn that fuel without worrying! Also, the Grit works way better when you pair it with the next ride, the Thunder.[/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]
[/p]
The Thunder
[p]
[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]Another pickup, but this one has a Flamethrower mounted on the bed. This weapon has a wide Area of Effect and burns enemies hit. Just keep in mind, those flames don't distinguish between friend and foe, so watch out for your squad! Keep that Flamethrower gassed up with a canister so you can keep the flames going![/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]
[/p]
The Ambulance
[p]
[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]The Ambulance is the vehicle you need when the job gets tough. Its Special Ability continuously restores the HP of the entire crew on board. Furthermore, it carries Medkits reserves, so always remember to collect them before switching to a different vehicle![/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]
[/p]
The Crest
[p]
[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]This sleek sedan is outfitted with a specialized Nitro Boost system. Activating this feature delivers a powerful surge of acceleration, ideal for escaping thick mud, smashing through obstacles, or running down roamers. However, exercise extreme caution: using the nitro makes the car significantly harder to control, and a high-speed crash could be disastrous for both your vehicle and its occupants![/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]
[/p]
The Banshee
[p]
[/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]The Banshee is the perfect choice for players who enjoy a spectacular exit. Its core feature is the Self-Destructing Bait Special Ability. When activated, the vehicle engages police lights and a siren, immediately drawing in all nearby enemies. Following this, a countdown begins, culminating in an explosion that wipes out all close-range roamers. As an added benefit, the Banshee's trunk is fully stocked with ammunition, providing a convenient resupply point for your Primary and Secondary weapons.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]
[/p][p]That concludes our blog post! There are a few more vehicles that are exclusive to some missions, but we’ll let you discover them by yourself! Vehicles are a core part of Toxic Commando, and we hope you'll enjoy using them to run over some zombies![/p][p]
[/p][p]We'd love to hear your thoughts on the vehicles, so be sure to join the community chat on our Discord server.[/p][p]
[/p][p]See you on March 12th for the release of Toxic Commando![/p]

Месим грязь в поисках Карпентера: Обзор John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando

John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando от Saber Interactive явно задержалась как минимум на пару лет. Учитывая, что отвечали за нее те же люди, что и за Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, можно предположить, что последняя просто была в приоритете.

John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando (PS5 Pro) Review

Despite an explosively promising start, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is a game that ends up feeling more like a zombie-infested slog than an undead-slaying massacre. Utilizing the same engine that brought to life the impressive hordes of enemies in 2024’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Saber Interactive’s latest game follows suit with a staggering amount of on-screen undead to mow through.

Unfortunately, John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando on PlayStation 5 Pro is less than an optimal experience, negating the spectacle of the number of zombies that infest the screen. Throughout the roughly 10-hour adventure, I was left feeling less than impressed with Toxic Commando’s performance, which felt more rocky than the muddy terrain the game forces players to trudge through.

Performance woes are made worse when taking into account John Carpenter’s Toxic Commandos overall aesthetic. Even during the brief lulls of respite when not overwhelmed by... Read more

This week in PC games: John Carpenter's Toxic Commando, Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake, and a myth-inspired match-3 game where you combine three dogs into Cerberus

Sadly, I must report that Edwin has once again been eaten by the Maw. I want to say it was through some devious ruse but, reader, it was not. As Edwin worked the gaps between the Maw's canines with the 8-foot toothpick, one of the Maw's smaller tentacles slipped behind our news editor and tapped him on the shoulder. Edwin turned his head. It was only for a moment, but it was all that was needed to gobble him up.

Not to worry, Edwin will surely have worked his way out of one of the Maw's orifices (orifici?) and be back on duty shortly.

In his stead, let me provide this week's delivery of games.
