We would like to share an update regarding the earlier emergency maintenance. The downtime was not caused by an issue within the MapleStory game servers themselves, but by an outage in a backend system that is commonly used across multiple games. This led to unexpected service instability and disconnections. We have identified the cause and resolved the issue, and game service has now returned to normal. While service has been restored, we are continuing to review the incident to understand the full scope of the impact and ensure stronger stability moving forward.

[Updated November 27 12:46 AM PST] Details regarding compensation for affected players will be shared once ready, and the compensation will be distributed before end of November 27 PST.

• Monthly Windows Update.
• Increased the number of channels by 20 on Challenger World - Heroic in the North America region to help improve lag.
  • Reenabled the visibility of other character's Pets.
• Added a warning message pop-up for the Trace Restoration System UI.
• [Updated 11/19] Resolved an issue that caused the recent Bera server crash.
  • Compensation will be provided for Bera players who logged in after the maintenance on November 12.
  • Compensation can be claimed from November 20 (after maintenance) - December 4.

• Reduced the difficulty of the Trace Restoration system's missions:
  • Common Mission
    • Damage decreased by 20% and damage taken decreased by 10%
  • Boss Missions
    • Lotus: Hit with laser 5 or more times
    • Will: Clear total of 5 spider webs
    • Darknell: Clear after getting hit by floor beam 3 or more times
    • Verus Hilla: Get hit by thread 3 times or more
    • Guardian Angel Slime: Block 2 or more Holy Gate in first wave
• Changed the Trace Restoration System Gauge limit to 2,500 points.
• Reduced the amount of Sand required for the '[Co-op Event] Waking the Power of Time' event.
• Resolved an issue causing characters to change to the Mo Xuan job when teleporting to the 'Xuanshan School' map through the World Map UI.
  • Characters that were temporarily blocked will be unblocked after the maintenance.
  • Characters that experienced this issue can claim compensation by talking to the Maple Admin NPC via Quick Move or in town. 
  • Compensation is claimable from November 20 (after maintenance) - December 3 at 11:59 PM PST.
  • [Updated 11/19] Please note that compensation can only be claimed once per account.

• Resolved an issue causing rings to disappear when using the Ring Swap Skill.
  • The skill will be reenabled once maintenance has been completed.
• Resolved an issue where Unique Familiars with 40% Boss Damage or Legendary Familiars with 50% Boss Damage Potential lines were reduced.
• Resolved an issue where using the Symbol Selector Coupon would grant 1 Sacred Symbol instead of 2.
  • Players who experienced this issue will receive the additional Sacred Symbols at a later date.
• Resolved an issue on Heroic Worlds where some boss items were incorrectly included in the 'rolling' section of the new distribution system.
• Resolved an issue where the quest 'Skyline: Repair' was unable to be completed after collecting the necessary items for completion.
• Resolved an issue where lower-tier Item Drop Rate % or Meso Drop Rate % Familiar Potentials would override higher-tiered rates of the same Potential.
• Resolved an issue where Khali summons would disappear and only reappear when using the 'Arts: Flurry' skill.
• Resolved an issue where the Sayaroid item's audio would play in the incorrect language.
• Resolved an issue where Cash Items obtained from Marvel Machine would cause the 'You have too many Cash Items' error message to appear on Ren characters.
• Resolved an issue where the 'Ch. 2' text was displayed incorrectly on the Change Channel UI.
• Resolved an issue where the text would display incorrectly in the Skin Prism UI.
• Resolved an issue where the Interactive World rewards were incorrectly shown as Heroic World rewards for the Item Burning Stage 5 mission.
• Resolved an issue where the incorrect Heroic World rewards were shown for the Item Burning Stage 5 and 6 missions.
• Resolved an issue where the text was incorrectly displayed for the Item Burning Stage 6 completion.
• Resolved an issue where the text was incorrectly displayed within the Familiar UI.
• Resolved an issue with some of the text for the 'Bloom's Herb Baskets' event guide.
• Resolved an issue where the text would display incorrectly for the Auction House's item sold notification.
• Resolved an issue where the 'Add to Blacklist' button was not working as intended.
• Resolved an issue where the last character would not be displayed on the 'Manage Characters' UI.
• Resolved an issue where the incorrect stat would be displayed for the Equipment Rental System Tooltip for Mo Xuan, Evan, and some Pirate jobs.
• Resolved an issue where the client would crash when using the mouse wheel button in town while the Quick Move UI is open.
• Resolved an issue where the Master Seraphim Set was unable to be dyed.
• Resolved an issue where the Item Burning Improvement System's weekly obtained gauge was sometimes incorrectly displayed. 
• Resolved an issue where the 'Light Skin' tone would be erased after relogging.
• Resolved an issue where EXP orbs from Elite Bosses and Mobs appeared after a delay.
• Resolved an issue where the Magnificent Growth Potion from the Maple Con LA Special Growth Coupon was unable to be used on Hyper Burning Characters.

[Updated 11/20]

• Resolved an issue where the Caretaker's Support buffs would reset after entering the Boss Waiting Room maps.
• Resolved an issue where enhancing equipment using a scroll or cube would result in all players in the map to display the animation.
• Resolved an issue with the Buff Sequence System.
  • The Buff Sequence System will be reenabled after maintenance has been completed.
• Resolved an issue where players were unable to make purchase items in the Challenger World Coin Shop.
• Resolved an issue where the Black Mage Boss Trace Mission was not resetting properly per character.
  
  • Any Black Mage mission clear points earned more than once will be retrieved at a later time.
