We at Nexon America are happy to announce that MapleStory Fest is back and, for the first time since 2019, we'll be in Los Angeles, CA, in-person to greet our fans on Saturday, November 12! There will be games, trivia, meet-and-greets, and more as we celebrate this latest year of all things MapleStory, and show off all the excitement to come!

We're also holding a special event with the MapleStory Boss Blitz, challenging six livestreamers who are unfamiliar with MapleStory, coached by three of our Bean Brigade veterans, to get a crash course on the game and show their skills at MapleStory Fest! Hi Maplers, 

We’d like to provide a status update regarding Wild Totems, which many of you have been curious about since our adjustments to Kanna’s Kishin Shoukan skill. As previously mentioned in the Maple Memo: Addressing Recent Issues and Upcoming Content, we made adjustments to the Kishin Shoukan skill to align with the overall direction of the game by changing the spawn-enhancing effect from the skill to a 10% additional EXP effect. In the same update as the Kishin Shoukan skill changes, Star Force enhancement costs were reduced by 20% in cumulative enhancement cost (based on the 24-Star enhancement); as we understood that spawn-enhancing effects had a large role in meso acquisition, and we hoped to alleviate the difficulty of the transition by reducing the cost in the area where most mesos are spent by players.

In alignment with the changes to Kishin Shoukan’s skill effect, Wild Totems will be discontinued in the next upcoming update. As we’ve done when Kishin Shoukan skill was changed to no longer provide spawn-enhancing effects, we will further reduce Star Force enhancement costs by an additional 20% when discontinuing Wild Totems. There will also be some changes made to the Fairy Bros Daily Gifts rewards to reflect the discontinuation of Wild Totems. The below changes to Fairy Bros Daily Gifts rewards will be reflected starting November 1, 2022.

• Day 8 will now provide Mega Burninator x1
• Day 10 and Day 19 will now provide 2x EXP Coupon (30 min) x2

The discontinuation of Wild Totems is currently scheduled to be implemented with our November update, tentatively scheduled for November 16, 2022. Wild Totems that are already in players’ inventory prior to the November update will remain usable with their current functionality until the item expires. Any Wild Totem coupons without an expiration date will be usable until December 31, 2022.

  • Fixed the issue where the Cash Shop checkout window lists the incorrect price when purchasing the 'Add Pendant Slot' item.
    
  • Fixed the issue where case sensitivity is inconsistent for some in-game chat commands.
    
  • Fixed the issue where the 'Black Sword' item does not clip properly when sitting.
    
  • Fixed the issue where the Warrior 2nd job advancement text is untranslated when speaking to "Dances with Balrog".
    
  • Fixed the issue where the 'Halloween Cat Cube Chair' item has a gap above it when stacked with other cube chairs.
    
  • Fixed the issue where the map 'Central Way' could still be accessed if it was saved to the Hyper Teleport Rock warp list.
    
  • Fixed the issue where the quest '[Night Troupe] Excitement, Enjoyment, and Enchantment' incorrectly states that the limit for obtaining Troupe Coins is 100 instead of 300.
  • [Updated Oct. 19] Fixed the issue where the Souvenir Shop in the Night Troupe Party Planner was inconsistent with the additional Arcane Symbols from the Vanishing Journey and Chu Chu daily quests.
  • [Updated Oct. 20] Fixed an issue where the Cash Shop Checkout UI shows "Mileage" when choosing to purchase with Reward Points.

• Experience Querencia’s first Halloween and earn yourself some proper decor!
• Requirements: Lv. 200 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2). Your character must have completed the Home tutorial quest.
  
• Accept the ‘[Home] Autumn, Pumpkins, Halloween!’ scenario quest by talking to the Caretaker inside your Home.
  • Your character must be Lv. 200 and above to start this quest.
  • If you started the scenario quest, but would like to complete it on a different character, you can use the ‘Reset quest progress’ option on the Home UI.
• If you don’t have a Home yet, check out our v.234 patch notes for more information! 
• Once the scenario quest is complete, you can accept the ‘[Home] Halloween Home Party’ quest from the star event notifier on the left side of the screen.
  • Your character must be Lv. 101 and above to start this quest.
• In order to obtain special Halloween-themed furnishings, you’ll be given an option to send your Caretaker shopping for them! You can select from the following:

    • Shopping Time: 16 hours
    • Cannot obtain duplicates
  • Large Halloween Furnishings Pack

• After your Caretaker goes shopping 10 times, you can accept the ‘[Home] Halloween Home Party’ quest to receive a Halloween Fondue Fountain furnishing!

  • Awakened Jiangshi CD Player allows you to play different music.
    
  • Jack-O-Lantern Totem Floor Lamp and the Halloween Mini Lights change color every time they’re clicked!
    
  • Halloween Fondue Fountain provides a candy item, with a small chance to receive a cupcake, when a visitor clicks on it. The furnishing provides up to 10 candies max per day, until November 1 at 11:59 AM UTC. You cannot receive candy from the fountain at your own Home. You can only get 1 candy a day per character.

• Cassandra’s got a sweet tooth and will reward you for helping her out!
• Requirement: Lv. 101 and above (Zero characters must have completed up to Chapter 2).
  
• Accept the ‘[Halloween] Halloween Candy Party’ quest through either the star event notifier on the left side of the screen.
• Upon accepting the quest, Cassandra will ask you to create candies for the party. Each candy requires three ingredients.
• Check the hint Cassandra gives you for one of the three ingredients needed to make each candy. You can work together with other Maplers to figure out the other two ingredients needed.
• Click the ‘[Halloween] Halloween Candy Party’ quest when you have all the ingredients. You will get your reward after making a total of three candies.
• Hidden mission alert! Complete the hidden mission to select either the Permanent Halloween Jack-O-Lantern Mount Coupon or Permanent Halloween Ghost Mount Coupon by November 1 at 11:59 PM UTC.
• Halloween Candy Party event can be done once per world.

Event Rewards:

• Halloween Kitty Cat Ears Coupon: Tradeable within account, 7-day duration. Use the coupon to receive Halloween Kitty Cat Ears: Untradeable.
