Unique, abstract building game sells 150,000 copies in only three days

Things don't have to be complex, either in the real world or in gaming. Sometimes all you want is to make a colored shape into another colored shape, and then toss that shape into a hungry maw. Simple. Where Shapez 2 makes its mark, however, is by taking that idea of combination, re-coloring, and transport and letting you expand it almost without limits - creating colossal creations that span huge distances. It turns out plenty also want to toss shapes into the void, because it has hit a huge sales milestone mere days after its release.

Factorio like building game Shapez 2 lands to stellar Steam reception

Although factory games are a somewhat niche genre, Shapez 2 simply isn't interested in being limited by classification alone. The new strategy game from tobspr Games is captivating players with its out-of-the-box style, opting for more abstract ways of creation. Despite launching just a few days ago, Shapez 2 is already quickly climbing the Steam charts.

Thank you for the amazing Early Access launch!

Thank you!

The launch has been amazing and the initial reception of the game is far beyond our expectations (over 600 99% positive reviews!!)

This wouldn't have been possible without YOU, our community. Shapez 2 has so much feedback integrated during the two years and it's so amazing developing this game together! Thank you for participating in the surveys, giving constant feedback and playtesting the early builds – especially the Patrons, Mods and Community Helpers!) It's something we want to keep doing and we are super excited to push the game even further during early access - this is just the beginning.

That being said, I don't want to distract you - the factory must grow!
What's next?
We are going through all the feedback right now (we try to read every post!), which will probably take a few days as new feedback is constantly added.

In the meantime, we are already working on 0.0.8 which fixes a few issues and also adds some improvements, like automatic space belt tunnel placement and rail launcher placement. We also are finetuning the space belt visuals to better show on which layer the shapes are, but this might not make it into this update.

In about a week we will then run a survey to collect even more feedback, and then in around 2-3 weeks we should be able to put together a first 'roadmap'! Our goal is that the first major update will be really worth picking up the game again (in case you ever stopped)! Based on your ideas we will put together 3 different options for what this major update could be and let you vote!

Again, thank you for being here with us.
