As well as the Standard Edition, Sniper Elite: Resistance is also available in a Deluxe Edition, which will include additional Season Pass content. The game has been enhanced for the PlayStation Pro 5, offering snipers the chance to experience the game in full 4K resolution.

In Sniper Elite: Resistance, Harry Hawker, agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE), takes the lead role for the first time in the series as he discovers an insidious new Wunderwaffe - something so powerful, it guarantees the Nazis would win the war. This new standalone story runs in parallel to the events of Sniper Elite 5 and turns the attention towards the hidden war, far from the front lines, deep within the heart of occupied France.

Locate a unique Resistance poster in each of the main campaign’s levels to unlock a Propaganda Mission where you become a Resistance Fighter.

Sniper Elite: Resistance occupies an awkward no man’s land between sequel and expansion to Sniper Elite 5. It ports the assets, animations and gameplay of its predecessor to tell a parallel story from the perspective of the series’ longtime co-op partner, Harry Hawker, a British commando with ties to the French Resistance.

The Sniper Elite series has always been slow to change, embracing the “do not fix what is not broken” approach to its tried-and-true formula. With Sniper Elite: Resistance, the formula still works, but even with a fresh coat of paint, it cannot help but show heavy signs of wear.

We have received communications from HQ and can today reveal a new Sniper Elite: Resistance trailer showcasing a number of the game’s key features and game modes. With the introduction of our man Harry Hawker as protagonist, an enthralling campaign storyline and the all-new Propaganda Mode, this promises to be another thrilling campaign to get stuck into!

[h3]The story so far...[/h3]

The events of Sniper Elite: Resistance sit alongside the storyline of Sniper Elite 5. For the first time in the series, Harry Hawker takes the role as the lead protagonist. Like his comrade Karl Fairburne, Harry is an agent of the Special Operations Executive and an expert marksman. He has been sent deep under cover in occupied France where he fights alongside the Resistance and discovers an insidious new Wunderwaffe that would turn the tide of the war.



The Sniper Elite: Resistance campaign is fully playable in both single player and online co-op. The campaign busting Invasion Mode, introduced in Sniper Elite 5, returns allowing snipers to drop into each other’s game as an enemy sniper to create a high stakes game of cat and mouse. There are also a host of adversarial multiplayer options.

[h3]Enter Propaganda[/h3]

Brand new to the series is Propaganda Mode. Unlocked by discovering Propaganda posters hidden within the main Campaign, this new game mode lets you play as a Resistance fighter in thrilling quick fire challenges against the clock.



As always with Sniper Elite, you can expect unparalleled sniping mechanics, stealth and tactical combat as well as a wealth of weapon customisation options, unlocked when you find workbenches hidden throughout the Campaign maps. Snipers can also expect huge agency on how to complete your mission, with optional kill List targets, multiple infiltration and extractions points, and side missions.

Releasing on January 30th, Sniper Elite: Resistance will be available on Game Pass on launch day and will be available both digitally and physically (with the boxed edition published by Fireshine Games) on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Windows PC and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Rebellion has also announced Sniper Elite: Resistance Deluxe Edition, which will include additional Season Pass content when that launches later in the year.



Sharpshooters who pre-order Sniper Elite: Resistance will receive a bonus new Target Führer campaign mission, an additional weapon skin, and the powerful Karabiner 98 Rifle. In addition to the bonuses included with the Standard Edition, pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition will also offer you the classic M1911 Pistol and two days early access to the game.
