Age of Conan: Unchained News

Undaunted. Unrelenting. Unconquered.

In celebration of the upcoming RTS Conan Unconquered, test your mettle in Age of Conan's new Unconquered mode!

https://store.steampowered.com/app/989690/Conan_Unconquered/

For the fearless adventurer, an age-old challenge born anew:

Don’t Die.

Create a new character, mark them as Unconquered, level up, and earn new rewards! The only catch: If your Unconquered character dies, the run’s over. You won’t be able to continue earning rewards with that character.

How long will you survive?

Unconquered Mode

To play Unconquered Mode, first you must create a new character. The option to make them as an Unconquered character is available directly under the panel where you make a new character. That’s all you need to do in order to start your challenge!

As you progress on your Unconquered character, you’ll be rewarded with new vanity armor sets, weapons, and badges to show off. The only catch: If your Unconquered character dies, that’s it. You won’t be able to continue earning new rewards with that character.

The character itself will not be deleted or become unplayable, but will lose their Unconquered status. You can still play the character and continue progressing as normal, but no additional rewards will be provided.

It’s important to note that an Unconquered character DOES NOT lose their status if they perish in a Minigame or in the Pitmaster’s Arena. Those are the only exceptions, however - deaths in the open world or anywhere else will cause your Unconquered run to end.

Good luck!

Badges

The new Badge system allows you to show off your achievements to everyone in your vicinity. As you continue to level your character up, you’ll unlock new badges. Here’s our Community punching bag Manager with the Level 80 Conquered Badge displayed (granted upon reaching, you guessed it, Level 80 as an Unconquered character):

Badges may be selected from your Achievements Window ([CTRL + L] by default)

New Race and Class Combinations

Two new Race + Class combinations are now available for new characters!

While not normally known for lurking in darkness, some rogue Cimmerians have heard whispers of Keiara’s exploits and seek to follow in her shadowy footsteps as Assassins.

Long known for their love of foul sorcery, Stygians soldiers now marry their thirst for magic with cold, hard steel to take up arms as Dark Templars.

Both new combinations are available for all players for free!

Vanity Weapon System

Rejoice! Everyone may now equip weapons in the Vanity tab! Any weapon you currently possess is eligible to be placed in the Vanity Weapon section, although the vanity weapon itself has to match the type of your power weapon.

For example, this means you can’t make a Two-Handed Edged weapon look like a One-Handed Blunt weapon. But, if you really wanted to, you could make your sweet T5 greathammer look like a Broken Oar, since they’re both Two-Handed Blunt weapons. Remember though - you have to actually currently own the weapon in your inventory in order to use it as a vanity weapon.

This has been an oft-requested feature and we hope you have fun creating zany (or badass) combinations of looks now that you have the option!

Hail, heroes!

Our thirst for bloodshed is mostly slaked by your blades and incantations; the time for the Saga's sunset is at hand. The Saga of Blood reaches its conclusion the morning (EST) of February 19, 2018.

We know you might have some questions about what that entails; please refer to this FAQ for details.

First, the Saga-exclusive Hoard of Blood is being locked in the vault when Saga of Blood closes. Remember, the contents of these hoards can be smuggled to Fury and traded after the merge!

Additionally, all other Hoards are being removed on February 19th--BUT, they'll be on sale until then, so now's the time to stock up!

On February 19th, a brand-new Hoard with new items and artwork marks its debut: From the furthest reaches of the Exiled Lands, the Silent Legion’s ghastly, haunted presence invades Age of Conan!

At the same time, we're launching a Winter Event featuring new daily login rewards, complete with an all-new mount and cloak:

And after that...well, you’ll just have to wait and see 😇

Saga of Blood Ends February 19

Saga of Blood Merge FAQ

What happens when Saga of Blood closes?

All servers will go down for extended downtime on the morning (EST) of February 19th, 2019. During this time, Saga of Blood will be merged into Fury.

Do I get to keep my Saga character?

Yes! Your Saga character will transfer to Fury - just make sure you don't leave anything in your mail or tradepost! These items will be lost to the ether during the merge.

Does my Saga character have to go to Fury?

Yes, as a PvP server, all characters on Saga of Blood are being moved to Fury during the merge. You will need to use the Character Transfer service from your account page to make any changes. Character Transfers are currently only 600 Funcom Points!

Do I keep the catch-up XP buff from Saga of Blood?

The buff is exclusive to the server, not your character. When your Saga character is moved to Fury, they will not receive that bonus.

What about my character's name?

Character names will be transferred from Saga of Blood. If there is a naming conflict, it will be resolved according to the following, in order:

  • Recent Account Activity - If an account with a Fury character causing a naming conflict has been played in the last 24 months, the Fury character keeps the name. If that account has been inactive for the past 24 months, the Saga character keeps the name. If both accounts are active, then…
  • Higher Character Level - The higher-level character keeps name. If they're the same level, then…
  • Older Character Creation Date - The older character keeps name.

Characters who lose their name will be provided a temporary name and you will be able to rename them for free the next time you log in with that character.

What about the Saga Quest Rewards?

As you complete stages of the Saga Quest, you'll get each reward as an additional, separate claim through the shop window after the merge. This includes everything from the vanity gear, pet, and the power gear. These rewards can be used on Crom or Fury on a character of your choosing!

You can claim each reward once per account, so please choose the character wisely. You cannot claim these rewards on your Saga character.

I still keep the Saga Quest rewards on my Saga character, right?

Yes, your Saga character keeps everything they've already earned. The item claims are an additional reward for playing on Saga of Blood.

Will I be able to complete the Saga Quest after the merge?

The Saga Quest will become unavailable after Saga of Blood closes.

What about my guild?

Guilds on Saga of Blood will be transferred to Fury. This includes:
  • Guild Name
  • Guild Bank
  • Guild City

Battlekeeps will not transfer to Fury, but you can contact Customer Service to get your materials back.

My guild has the same name as one on Fury. How does that work?

Guild names on Saga of Blood that conflict with guilds on Fury at the time of the transfer will receive a legacy tag appended to their name.

What happens to my Saga character slot?

If your Saga character is at least PVP Level 1 by the time Saga of Blood closes, you keep the free extra character slot. This means you won't need to do anything extra after the merge.

I didn't get to PvP Level 1 before the merge. What happens then?

If your Saga character is below PvP Level 1, your character is still transferred to Fury, but you do not get an extra character slot. You'll need to make sure you have enough character slots on your account to be able to unlock the character.

Do I get anything for having a Saga character below PvP Level 1, then?

You do! Even if you haven't done any of the Saga quests, if you have a character on Saga of Blood, you get to claim the Cloak of Selkhet cloak for one character on the account. This vanity cloak was awarded to the Saga of Blood community for killing 1,500,000 players as a server.

Speaking of which, I'm one of the winners of the end-of-server tournament. What happens then?

Fame and glory! If you were one of the winners of the Saga of Blood class dueling tournament, your character name and appearance will be posted on the website and forums for all to honor. You'll also keep your special cloak and title for that character.
