Wall World News

Playtest is over

That's a wrap! Wall World Playtest has ended.

We wanted to thank everyone for their feedback – we are already implementing a lot of changes and you won’t recognize the game when the demo comes out!

See you really soon 😉

P.S.: And here is something special that will be in the demo:

Social hierarchy

There is a professional caste system in the Wall World, and you can't change your profession. Today we want to tell you about different castes.

Scouts – they explore the Wall’s surface and wear battle exoskeletons. Those suits are like walldiggers’, but the plasma drill is converted to a weapon, and some other alterations were done to their costume.

Walldiggers – they are partially responsible for exploration and entirely for exploitation. They traverse the Wall on mech-spiders (only walldiggers have them) and can mine to the places that aren’t accessible for Scouts. But they don’t travel too far from settlements because spiders are too heavy and slow, and their main purpose is to gather resources – not run across the Wall.

Orangeries – they grow food near cores in the settlements.

Guards – their role is to protect settlements and escort traders that travel between those.

Engineers – they develop new technologies and study different things brought back by scouts and – less frequently – by walldiggers.

Here is a good example of walldigger and engineer.

Keep in mind: that this is not the final version of the game: we’re still working on it, and the final version may and will be different. Feel free to stream and publish gameplay footage, but please indicate that this is a very early version of the game.

Times Before

Greetings, walldiggers!

Today we want to share with you how Wall World looked before. Yes, there were some major changes that were made to the looks of the game even before it entered playtest.

In earlier versions, as you can see, the main character’s costume wasn’t covering the whole body. Some cave backgrounds were less vivid.

And even now the game is still not yet in its final form – there are a lot of improvements coming before beta and release! We will share those changes in time and tell you more about the Wall World.

Dangers of Wall World

Zyrex in the Wall World is unknown power. They are creatures that live in the fog and attack lonely travelers in groups but are afraid to invade cities because there are too many turrets.

There are several known species of Zyrex. Some can run on vertical surfaces, others can fly, but - from time to time - a previously unknown creature will appear that no one ever witnessed. There is a theory that they evolve in the wild, but this doesn't happen on the Wall. No one ever found a Zyrex nest on the Wall – most likely they live elsewhere.

Some even claim that Zyrex are divine punishment for exploring and mining the Wall.
