Only 3 days left until the Steam Next Fest is kickin' in the door and be assured we bring more than our very first playable demo.

The whole week will be packed with amazing events for you to enjoy.

Steam Next Fest kicks off and our demo will be available for everybody!

[h3]Tuesday – Oct.10th[/h3]
Dev Diary VI – The music of “Songs of Silence” by Hitoshi Sakimoto will be published!
We deep dive into the epic soundscape of the game, with an exclusive video interview by Hitoshi Sakimoto himself!

[h3]Wednesday & Thursday – Oct. 11th & 12th[/h3]

• Check out our broadcast on Steam, we will regularly add new (pre-recorded) videos to the rotation. Maybe you can spot your favorite content creator on our store page.
  
• Provide feedback, bring up your suggestions & ideas, ask us anything on Steam.
  
  • We will be around in our Songs of Silence Steam hub as much as possible!
• Also, we will keep you posted on any additional livestreams, as there might always be a chance somebody might be streaming our game. Why don’t you?

[h3]Friday & Saturday – Oct. 13th & 14th [/h3]
On both days, starting at 7pm CET, we will be livestreaming from our studio in Munich here on Steam!
Enjoy Songs of Silence, hosted by Creative Director Alex, accompanied by Lead Artist Kathy on Friday, and Game Designer Laura on Saturday. In chat will be Community Manager Lars (hey, that's me), providing Alex with questions from the chat, which will be answered live in both streams.
On each day, Alex will be accompanied by someone else from the dev-team. So don’t miss out both streams!

[h3]Sunday – Oct. 15th[/h3]
We love you but give us a break and let us play our own demo.
But this does not mean you have to stop playing! Play the demo and provide feedback, we will be back fresh and new on Monday!

End of Steam Next Fest. We currently have something in the works, so a small surprise might await.
Fingers crossed, as this is not set in stone, yet, so stay tuned.

Some time has passed since the last dev diary. But fear not, we’re back in action and we’ve amazing news to share!

Before we dive into today’s dev diary, we’d like to introduce the latest member of the Chimera and Songs of Silence team: Community Manager, Lars (me, yay!).
If there’s anything you want to know regarding Songs of Silence, the team, or just checking in for a high-five, find me on our official Songs of Silence Discord, or look out for “Skybreaker” here on Steam. I am more than happy to meet every single one of you excellent folks.

As you are already on the edge of your seat because the new guy is talking too much, without further ado, let’s get started.

[h3]Songs of Silence Demo [/h3]


The wait is almost over, if you haven’t had the chance to join our Closed Beta, or you’ve just joined the Songs of Silence community, or if you simply can’t get enough of Songs of Silence:
Mark the date - Next Monday, October 9th, the Songs of Silence demo will be available here on Steam. No sign up needed, just download the demo and enjoy!

The demo will provide a more polished experience compared to our previous Closed Beta. We also took into account your feedback from the Closed Beta seriously (thanks for the support and input to those who participated!) and thus integrated as much as possible into this version of the game.

Overall, the demo will provide an experience closer to the final product and includes the first campaign map, which throws you into the story and goals of the famous hero: Queen Lorelai of Ehrengard.

Additionally, we added a Skirmish map for you to enjoy, where you have to face 2 AI factions and show off your strategic wits and skills, which you’ve learned throughout the campaign mission. We are curious to see how you play and what strategies you come up with.

We know how eager you are to get your hands on the latest build Songs of Silence, so we’re super excited to announce that you’ll be able to do just that during Steam Next Fest, between the 9th and 16th of October!
The demo will be available here, on the game’s Steam page, for free, so keep your eyes peeled.

This demo will consist of the first 1000 Kingdoms campaign map and a PvE skirmish map.
In the campaign, you’ll play as young Queen Lorelai, leader of the people of Ehrengard, as she guides the shattered remnants of her kingdom towards a new home.
An old ally awaits in the neighboring kingdom of Elbin, but have the old alliances held true? Lorelai finds herself once more at the head of an army, fighting for her very survival…

In the skirmish map, expect to take on two enemy factions as you contest the future of your kingdom by capturing settlements and waging war against your foes. Each faction and hero have their own distinct play styles, both at strategic and tactical levels: manage your locations, armies, and assaults accordingly. Only the mighty will prevail.

Hello everyone!

We want to take a moment to share some exciting news about our progress with our game, Songs of Silence. Last week, we attended Gamescom and had the opportunity to showcase our game to a select group of journalists and creators.

It was a hectic week, but we are pleased to say that the feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive. We were thrilled to see how positive they were about our game and their appreciation of the hard work we put into it.

As we move forward, we are more motivated than ever to continue developing Songs of Silence. We are confident that with the support of our community - again, big thanks to everyone participating in Closed Beta!

We can create a game that not only meets but exceeds expectations. In the coming weeks, we will share more updates on our progress and additional media coverage. We are excited to share our journey with you and cannot wait for you to see what we have in store.

Hey everyone! We're happy to announce that Songs of Silence is participating in Steam Strategy Fest - an online event celebrating current and upcoming strategy games of all kinds.

This event runs from August 28 at 10:00 AM PDT (or 7 PM CET) to September 4 at 10:00 AM PDT (or 7 PM CET) and will be featuring dozens of projects from all over the world.
