We’re excited to announce that a brand new patch has just been deployed, bringing plenty of new features, fixes and heavy performance boosting optimizations. This build is currently live on the unstable-branch, allowing you to test out all the exciting changes before the official release, as we want to be sure that everything is okay after so many changes. If you want to try out these new additions and optimizations, switch to the unstable-branch and let us know your thoughts! Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we can't wait to hear what you think! πŸ’­

Much faster game launching time [First game launch after patch might take a minute or two along with ~5fps showing, but do not worry - it's the engine generating metafiles for better optimization. After the first launch, every consecutive launch will be much, much much faster![/h3]

We have a new update for you this week! While it's a smaller patch, we've been focusing on improving our internal tools to make working on the physics system easier and more efficient. This means more natural, logical, and satisfying collapses! Soon, those floating ship sections will be a thing of the past. πŸŽ‰

First of all, we're thankful for all of you that sent us info, gamesaves and crashlogs to help us identify issues, such as the hulls problem. Your input is invaluable for us! 🀝

This week we mostly focused on patching singleplayer & getting the hulls to properly winch, so not much happened in multiplayer. But next week we're tackling mostly the multiplayer issues, so stay tuned!

SINGLEPLAYER
  • Hulls fixes & winch process improvements, better detection of collision
  • Props collapse system small fixes
  • Floating heavy elements fixes
  • Physics system improvements, sections of the ship should collapse better, but it's still WIP to make better
  • Changes in game code to let us grab more info from players' crashlogs
  • Looped prop rain (that fell under the map) should not be happening anymore
  • Blue connectors align fix and improvements
  • Contracts system small fixes
MULTIPLAYER
  • Contracts HUD left in shiptube FIX
  • Faster money refresh rate for clients
  • Small optimizations
