[p][/p][p]Hey Survivors,[/p][p]Since the release of 1.29 has been delayed for quite some time, we felt it would be appropriate to provide a status report. Again, we sincerely apologize for the radio silence. We needed time to gather the necessary information on progress, plans, and beyond. Our Brand Manager, Scotty, went on stream last week to talk about it a little; you can find the short version of the stream here, and the full version below: [/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]1.29 Update
As Scotty mentioned on the stream, the delay of the 1.29 update was a necessary step for us. The key reason behind this is that we needed extra time for stabilizing and optimizing server performance and the game itself. This is why our programmers are dedicating additional time to resolving technical shortcomings that have previously impacted gameplay with performance issues.[/p][p]We are planning to have an experimental update this Friday, and more in the coming weeks. We’d like to invite you to join us in testing the new build. As an incentive, we are bringing back the much-beloved “Many Cars” servers on PC and Xbox experimental branches.[/p][p]DayZ Badlands Development
The release of DayZ Badlands is still planned for 2026. While we’re not ready to disclose the exact release date yet, we want you to know that the team continues to make steady progress.[/p][p]

What’s Next for This Year and Beyond[/p][p]We will continue to support this year’s seasonal events. Our Halloween Event was deployed last week, on October 21st, while the Christmas event is already waiting in the wings.[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]We are still holding off on the dev blog for DayZ Badlands to give more attention to the 1.29 update and the seasonal events. We will probably not release any detailed dev blogs this year; however, we do have some interesting news to showcase.
