The Basic Tutorial is gone and Academy Mode is here.
In Academy mode, you'll learn Layups, Dash Passes, Saves, and Side Swing Passes in addition to the maneuvers taught in the Basic Tutorial.
You'll need to play Basic AI Match, which is Academy level 6, before you can access Quick Matches and Private Matches.

We've reduced the window of time a user can join a Quick Match to reduce the likelihood of a user joining a match that is already heavily gapped.

1) Gameplay changes:
The Basic Tutorial was deemed too difficult for new players, so we've lowered its difficulty.
Guide Quests were deemed too difficult for new players, so we've lowered their difficulty.
Added a feature that recommends users who are not yet your friends.
Added a quick chat feature in the lobby.
Added 3 new skin colors... (black, red, yellow)
Added a shortcut link to the lobby announcement banner.
Added an event banner for Christmas gifts in the lobby.
We've added the ability to praise teammates you've played with on the game results screen. You can only compliment the same user once per hour. When you receive a compliment, your Honor level increases. You will receive rewards based on your Honor level.

We've nerfed the Dash Stun Perk because we feel it's too OP, and now you won't lose the ball you're holding when you get Dash stunned.

1) Gameplay changes:
Reduced the difficulty of the Basic Tutorial.
We've added the ability to import your friend's customizations and perks as a bot. You can add this bot to your party at any time, regardless of whether they are actually playing to Metaball or not.
After a game ends, the teammates you last played with will appear in the lobby. You can choose to add them as friends or party with them.
2) Changes based on feedback:
We have expanded the range of matchmaking research with a limit to not cause discomfort to the game. You can now play Quick Match with a wider variety of people.
We've added a new UI for creating parties, leaving parties, and kicking out party members. You can now select the party menu in the lobby more easily.

1) Gameplay changes:
At the end of the basic tutorial, we added an effect that plays when you score in 2v2.
Added basic controls list to the control guide inside the menu (Xbox controllers will be added later).
2) Changes based on feedback:
Slightly increased the rebound force when the ball collides with the backboard.
Increased the thickness of the goal to address a bug with the goal.
Increased the power of the Side Swing release.
Fixed a bug where there was no sound when triggering a power swing.
Reduced the size of the hitbox between the backboard and rim.

1) Gameplay changes:
Added a tutorial to learn the double jump in the Basic tutorial.
You can now see your friends' perks and history in the party invitation window. In the future, we'll add the ability to see their outfits as well.
Added a Controls Guide to the ESC menu that summarizes the controls and skills available in Metaball. In the future, we'll add Advanced Techniques and Configuration.
2) Changes based on feedback:
Fixed a bug where you were considered mid-air when dashing or moving on a side wall.
We've been working on overall physics balance (this includes Tilt speed, character speed, irregular bounce, irregular spin, etc.).
Fixed a bug where the ball would strangely bounce off the floor when performing a Side Swing pass.
