The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, the expanded re-imagining of the critically acclaimed, award winning indie game The Stanley Parable comes to Steam, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on April 27, 2022!

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe dramatically expands the world of the original game with new content, new choices, and new secrets for you to uncover.

From now on and until release, we’ll be releasing weekly updates, starting with the return of The Stanley Parable Helpful Development Showcase. We'll be sending that out via our email list which you can subscribe to here!

I’m sure you’ve all got a lot of questions about what you can expect from The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. Since The Stanley Parable is a game about surprises, we've tried to implement new content in ways that players won't be expecting. The script for this new content is longer than the entire original game.

It's been nearly ten years since The Stanley Parable stuck a fork into our brains and twirled it around like a bowl of spaghetti. The first-person adventure, a seemingly simple story of an employee dutifully following an offscreen narrator's instructions, quickly branched off into absurd, baffling, hilarious, and sometimes disturbing pathways as it explored the nature of choice and free will in video games...

Several years later than planned, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe finally has a release date: April 27th. It's an "expanded re-imagining" of the surprising and funny and first-person explorer about an office worker who ends up on a surreal adventure probing strange depths and crashing through the fourth wall. Now, his adventure will be even bigger. The devs claim that "the script for the new content is longer than the script for the original game."

During the Game Awards in 2018, an expanded version of entirely serious office-life drama The Stanley Parable was announced with a release date of 2019. As that year drew to a close, the release was pushed back to 2020, "probably before summer, but it sort of depends on the specifics of how development goes". That didn't work out either. News of its delay to 2021 was delivered via borrowed delay announcements from other games. By this point, nobody was taking the date seriously...

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is now "content complete" and will launch in early 2022. This news comes by way of developers Crows Crows Crows and a new trailer that pokes fun at themselves for the development delays thus far.
