Morrowind remake, built in Skyrim, gets huge new gameplay trailer

Elder Scrolls Morrowind, the iconic Bethesda RPG game from all the way back in 2002, is being rebuilt from the ground up by a team of Skyrim modders, and the hugely ambitious project has just released a big new gameplay trailer. Showcasing one of Morrowind's most memorable quests, 'Necromancer in Mawia,' the Skywind project forms part of a larger effort lately to recreate past Elder Scrolls hits, with Skyblivion, a separate game, which uses the Skyrim engine to remake Oblivion also in the works.

This randomizer mod turns the best Elder Scrolls game into a beautiful fever dream

Yams. It's all yams. Everywhere I look. Every crate, every bookshelf, every corpse pocket: They're all stuffed with yams. I have become the protagonist of a vegan Edgar Allen Poe story, and it's my own damn fault. I've installed the Morrowind World Randomizer mod (spotted by Micky D on YouTube, above), and it only went and randomized the world of Morrowind. They should put a warning on it...

To quote the mod's author, "Vvardenfell removed because y'all can't behave."..

Despite being a game full of chunky, blank-faced weirdos with awful hair that makes you swing at an enemy 20 times before you can land a single hit, Morrowind is an incredibly immersive game, sucking you into Vvardenfel and making you feel like part of its world. Modder abot over on the Morrowind Nexus has now, finally, torn down that last barrier between Morrowind and a perfect simulation of reality: with abot's new mod, the Nerevarine leaves behind footprints as they walk...
