SOUNDTRACK PRE-ORDERS LIVE (and more!)

[p]You can pre-order the full soundtracks for UNBEATABLE beginning RIGHT NOW. [/p][p][/p][p]Check our bandcamp where you’ll be able to pre-order both ALBUM (by UNBEATABLE), and UNBEATABLE \[ost]. The former contains all of the vocal songs (WAITING! FAMILIAR! The songs from the trailers!), while the latter will contain the full score; all BGM, cop fight, and minigame tracks. If you already backed a tier in our Kickstarter / Slacker Backer campaign with the game’s soundtrack included, you will receive both releases, in full, on Day 1 - no additional purchase needed.[/p][p][/p][p]To coincide with this announcement, we’ve got three major announcements as well: [/p][p][/p]
LISTEN TO OUR PERFORMANCE OF WORN OUT TAPES AT DAY OF THE DEVS
[p]A labor of love between the sound team, listen to our performance of a brand new rendition of WORN OUT TAPES, which debuted at DAY OF THE DEVS: SUMMER GAME FEST 2025! [/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]This new song is included as a part of our pre-order launch for the vocal album, and will also be available for listening on YouTube. If you’ve listened to UNBEATABLE: DEMO TAPES, you may be familiar with WORN OUT TAPES, but that version is a lot closer to the B-Sides we are doing for the final release. In truth, we had always planned on making a new version of WORN OUT TAPES that better reflected the game’s aesthetic changes, as the now named “\[tally-ho! version]” was developed all the way back in late 2018, before we had fully identified the direction we were taking with the game. With how much that’s changed since, we see WORN OUT TAPES as a full circle moment - one that really unites the early days of this project with what the game is today! Attached at the end of this post is the full MV credits. [/p][p][/p][p]You can download this new version of Worn Out Tapes as a pre-order bonus for UNBEATABLE: THE ALBUM. Soundtrack Backers will receive a download as a part of redeeming their pre-order key for the soundtrack. We’ll be sending these out starting the moment this post goes live - give it at least up to 24 hours for the keys to arrive. In the event they don’t make it to your inbox, reach out to [email protected] with your backer details and we’ll get it fixed ASAP.[/p][p][/p]
PLAY WORN OUT TAPES, from THE ALBUM, in the UNBEATABLE \[DEMO] BEGINNING JUNE 9TH
[p][/p][p]This new version of WORN OUT TAPES, as well as the original WORN OUT TAPES ( the “\[tally-ho! version]”), will be our new rotational songs for the DEMO, replacing both FUTURE PEOPLE and SLEEPING IN. You’ll have this weekend to get your final scores in for those two songs, before WORN OUT TAPES swaps in during Steam Next Fest! [/p][p]These new charts were created by game producer CHI XU with the assistance of Cheryl Stelli. [/p][p]Since this build has already been in the oven for a while, we have the patch notes for the version releasing, PATCH V1.6.1-DOTD - take a look at the changes we’re making on Monday! [/p][p][/p][h2]PATCH NOTES[/h2]
  • [p]Sleeping In and Future People are replaced with WORN OUT TAPES and WORN OUT TAPES \[tally-ho! Version] in UNBEATABLE \[arcade mode] [/p]
  • [p]You are now sent back to the \[arcade mode] menu rather than the main menu upon quitting a song in UNBEATABLE \[arcade mode] [/p]
  • [p]A fix was made to the skybox shader in the rhythm game scenes - the sky is no longer gray in them! [/p]
  • [p]You can now skip pre-rendered videos (which should allow people who are softlocked by this on certain devices to progress). [/p]
  • [p]Subtitle Rendering was fixed. [/p]
THE FULL DEMO OST IS OUT ON YOUTUBE (and included with a pre-order of UNBEATABLE: THE SOUNDTRACK)
[p]We’ve heard you! The full demo OST is now available to listen on YT, featuring all of the background music, minigame tracks, and miscellaneous extras not included in UNBEATABLE: DEMO TAPES, peak divide’s single releases, or the upcoming UNBEATABLE: THE ALBUM release. Note that the YouTube uploads for these tracks may not be final renditions of the songs, and are subject to change prior to release. [/p][p]Listen to the whole soundtrack, with all rhythm songs and BGM together, on our YouTube channel here.[/p][p]We’re making this a summer to remember, so be sure to stick around - we’ll have a lot more to share throughout the season about the game. Thank you for your support and sticking with us - it’s meant the world. [/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]FULL MV CREDITS: VIDEO PRODUCTION by RJ Lake, COMPOSITION AND ARRANGEMENT by Clara Maddux, and Vasily Nikolaev, LYRICS by Clara Maddux and Rachel Lake, PERFORMANCES by Clara Maddux (Guitar / Drums), Rachel Lake (Vocals), and Vasily Nikolaev (Synth). Hey gang,

We're at two festivals this week for UNBEATABLE! Check out the MGN Indie Game Festival and LudoNarraCon, which we're featured as a part of both showcases. For MGN Indie Game Festival, they kicked the event off with a live cover of Mirror!

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

We also have a new patch for UNBEATABLE's demo, fixing some issues concerning UNBEATABLE [arcade mode]! Check out the changes below:

[DEMO] PATCH V1.5.28 is LIVE!
  • Fixed an issue where Arcade Mode settings were not properly saving
  • Fixed an issue where Arcade Mode controls were not properly registering gamepad inputs in the main menu
  • Fixed the softlock that would occur if someone went to arcade mode, skipped the tutorial, played a map, returned to the story mode menu, and then attempted to play the story mode
  • Fixed incorrect attribution of Done In Love's charts

Thanks for sticking with us, and check out all the other cool games that we have the honorof being alongside with!

[DEMO] PATCH V1.5.27 is LIVE!

Hey gang,

We return with some quick changes to round out yesterday's beefy patch for the demo! Take a look below:

PATCH V1.5.27 CHANGELOG

  • Fixed the softlock that can occur if the player manages to attempt finishing a poster twice in one run.
  • UNBEATABLE [arcade mode] now remembers the last song you selected after completing it, meaning you won't be reset back to Empty Diary after each play!
  • Fixed various UX bugs relating to UNBEATABLE [arcade mode].

[h2]KNOWN ISSUES[/h2]
  • some Arcade Mode settings, notably keybinds, do not save in the options menu for Arcade Mode (save them in the main menu in the meantime!)
  • we're aware of some other arcade mode QoL/bugs that we're going to address in future patches!

As mentioned before, future patches lined up for the demo will include more QOL fixes for UNBEATABLE [arcade mode] and later on, additional playable languages! For PS5 players, we're working on updates to have parity with the PC version of the demo - they're still in progress (cert is complicated), so thank you for your patience!

That's all from us!

[DEMO] PATCH V1.5.26.7 is LIVE!

Hey gang,

We're excited to announce that over 30k players (50k downloads) have played the UNBEATABLE [DEMO] on Steam! Thank you so much to everyone for checking out this first look at the game - means the world seeing all the fan art, feedback, and arcade scores since then.

We have a bunch of fixes lined up for this patch, which should hopefully fix a lot of present issues we've detected throughout the past few days. Take a look and let us know what you think!
PATCH V1.5.26.7 Changes

  • fixed an issue that caused the results screen to display incorrectly after playing a brawl
  • fixed an issue that could cause a softlock if you spammed the interact key while ending an environmental interactable

  • fixed an issue that could cause a softlock when trashing posters in the poster craft minigame
  • potentially fixed an issue that could cause placing posters to freeze on the final camera transition
  • fixed tutorial softlocks (if any remain, please let us know)
  • fixed several softlocks related to the game accepting dialogue inputs while the pause menu is active
  • fixed a softlock inside of the whacktown minigame when loading into it right before the time of day transition occurs
  • fixed softlock that occurs when quitting inside of dialogue that is "waiting" on an event to complete
  • fixed an issue that would cause poster quest dialogue to not run if the player quits in the middle of it

  • dramatically improved video playback performance on low powered hardware
  • fixed the pause menu clipping through the desk in Rest's office
  • fixed clipping when zooming into the journal

  • fixed a softlock that could occur in the shack intro if you quit and return while cleaning up
  • fixed an issue where the story difficulty settings would be incorrect after resetting your story progress
  • added some more stickers to the poster craft minigame :)

KNOWN ISSUES:
  • a softlock can occur if the player manages to attempt finishing a poster twice in one run (by resetting story progress and starting again). restarting the game should resolve this issue!

  • we're aware of some other arcade mode QoL/bugs that we're going to address in a future patch!
