Happy Birthday!

Hey, everyone!

Exactly one year ago, EMPTY SHELL: PROLOGUE was released, marking the beginning of this journey.
Since then, thousands of lines of code have been written, tens of thousands of vertices have been crafted and hundreds of thousands of axe blows have been struck.

Thank you all for venturing into the Facility and for contributing to improving the game with your feedback.

Steam Deck quick fix

Hey everyone,

just added a quick QoL fix. Basically, if running on the Steam Deck, at first launch the default UI size will be "Big".
If you already launched the game, then, if you want, you can manually change the UI size from the options.

Small fix

Technical update

Hey everyone!

I've just updated the Prologue to match some content (QoL updates, bug fixing, balancing and UI/effects options) of the full version.
This is just a technical update to prioritize the loading of the save files from the Prologue, rather than the Next Fest demo, that was only available in October for one week.

COMPENDIUM + Iron Volunteer

Hey, everyone!

With today's update, the COMPENDIUM will be available in the main menu. It contains unlockable entries of the creatures that inhabit the Facility, with 3d models and extra informations.

Also, Iron Volunteer, a new game mode, is available upon beating New Game+. While similar to the latter, in this mode enemies will inflict very high damage, but so do you. It is indeed a faster approach to the gameplay, with little to no room for mistakes. Plus, Devices will cost 50% less, so it's a chance to try the ones you still miss.
Ah, you only have one Volunteer, then it's game over...

I didn't add a new achievement for beating Iron Volunteer, but you'll be rewarded with something else: a crown icon will appear next to your name in the Leaderboard, to prove that you have completed the ultimate challenge in the Facility.

Other minor changes:
  • difficulty is now shown in the final stats at the end of the game
  • Semi-heavy and Heavy Laser Rifles now deal quite more damage
