I Know This Place..? News

It's nice that "I Know This Place..?" reviewed and invited to participate at major DevGamm games exhibitions in Lisbon, as well as at the WN Conference in Tel Aviv and the games exhibition in San Francisco. Alas, we are unlikely to be able to get to them, and we hope that we will be able to show the project online or that one of our game dev colleagues will go there (by the way, write to us if you are going there).
In any case, this is another step in the development of the project.


News: prequel short film "I Know This Place..?" it's almost ready. All sound is ready. All that's left are the credits and intro.
It will be available in the main menu of the game for everyone who purchased the chapter. And later it will be available to everyone and on Youtube itself. I think everything will be ready this week.

A short film based on our game was shot to expand the story of the project. Well, how else - everything in our game is confused. The short film will show the events that happened BEFORE the pilot episode and will clarify the picture a little. Although on the other hand there will be more questions. We shot it without a budget, but we hope you like this format and we’ll shoot more.

But here are real photographs of the last century (my grandfather is in them), which we digitized and added to the game.


I also had to buy half a kilogram of toffees (iris "golden key"), they also appeared in the short film.


Well, of course, we printed some photos from our subscribers and they will quickly appear in the background in one of the scenes.

Ahead are editing, VFX (visual effects are needed in many places), sound (there is a lot of sound, so everything was filmed without sound). Taking into account that we do everything ourselves, the budget turned out to be less than $100, which was spent on purchasing props, renting a car, gasoline, travel and food for filming days).
Once the film is finished editing and released, we will work on the script for Chapter 2.

As we said earlier, we are filming a short film for "I Know This Place..?". And for what? And to be more exciting. On the one hand, she will tell some details and show Vladimir, show the events BEFORE the events of the first episode. On the other hand, it will create even more questions.

This world, the world of "I Know This Place..?", this story is just beginning! And you are part of it.

We remind you that the events of the first chapter take place in Vladimir's apartment. He is our old friend whom we decided to visit. Once upon a time we grew up in this place, it is shrouded in the warm atmosphere of childhood. Vladimir wrote us a letter in which he asked us to come to him.

He wanted to tell or show something, the letter sounded rather strange. But upon arrival to Vladimir, we do not find him, but find a strange apartment and things. Moreover, getting out of there becomes a problem. Although now we are pursuing the goal of finding an old friend and finding out why this place lives its own life.

We'll be releasing shorts along the way with the game (if you like our first prequel short film).
