Building around the Inverted Full-Back in Football Manager 2024

As football evolves and clubs continually seek out new ways to outsmart their rivals, it has become essential for football managers to constantly innovate when it comes to on-field roles and tactical decisions.

Football Manager is no different and with each year we see the game adding new tactical options and player roles. This is both a case of keeping up with real-life developments but also giving you more room as boss to refine your own unique approach.

Head over to The Byline to read more about the Inverted Full Back and how you can get the most out of it on FM24.

Football Manager 2024 Minor Update 24.2.1 Out Now

We've just released the second of our Minor Updates for Football Manager 2024, available on PC/Mac via Epic, Steam, and Microsoft Store.

Within, you’ll find numerous changes under the hood that should go a long way to making the game more stable.

The database has been updated further to address some changes in both Germany and Japan. As always, database changes will require a new save game to take effect.

We’ve made two changes to player appearances; one within the Match Engine to ensure players no longer incorrectly appear identical, and another in the backend to ensure NewGen UID’s correctly correspond with their player picture.

Elsewhere, changes in the game include; Restoring the use of the custom profile picture, reformatting Korean currency to now show in the correct long/short form, fixed an issue that caused users to remain in charge of their club’s B-Teams after resigning and have made a change in the Pre-Game Editor to allow custom scores to appear in-game.

The update should download and install automatically. If it does not, we recommend following the instructions from our how-to install/update FAQ.

If you find any issues, please raise them via our Bug Tracker. If you experience any technical issues please check our FAQ for solutions or create a support ticket with our dedicated team.
