Omega Crafter BitSummit Report

Our dev-team exhibited the latest development updates and presented the future prospects of Omega Crafter at BitSummit, one of the largest indie game events in Japan, from July 14th to July 16th!

This is the first time exhibiting Omega Crafter at a real event, and we had three exciting days of interactions with game lovers and other game developers. We had the opportunity to meet some of our fans who have been supporting Omega Crafter for a long time. Thank you for all your support!

We were overwhelmed by the number of visitors who came to play Omega Crafter. We set up a booth with 2 playable demos, both of which were almost always in use during BitSummit.

We received a lot of positive comments from test players and visitors. The variety of feedback received at BitSummit has significantly motivated us to advance our development efforts.

Our 3 day experience at BitSummit made us reaffirm that not only Japanese game lovers but also foreign game lovers are interested in Omega Crafter. We will do our best to deliver Omega Crafter to people all over the world!

In addition to the booth, our development manager Takuya Sato took the main stage at VIPO Indie Game Pitch Showcase. He presented the Omega Crafter project to potential publishers and investors. His pitch highlighted our game's unique features which received excitement for game’s future.

The pitch event is available on the BitSummit live-streaming archive video. Please take a look at the video on YouTube!

As introduced in the play reports from 4Gamer and Game*Spark, we exhibited the BitSummit demo version which is further advanced in development from the alpha-test version!

We gave visitors a full experience of the latest version of Omega Crafter, including a multi-story building (with floors and stairs), a Grammi race (with string boards and markers), and pinball (objects with physical behavior), the first two features being highly requested by alpha test users.

We are planning to accelerate the development toward an open-beta test which will be held in autumn or winter. For more information about the schedule, please see the Steam NEWS on dev-roadmap.
Experience exploration, crafting and two boss fights in the Alpha Test!
In the Alpha Test players will be able to play part of the first biome of the game. After completing a tutorial on how to build a town and craft weapons, players will be tasked with gathering items and food required to defeat two bosses. In this process, you can automate and streamline gathering and crafting tasks using Grammi (programmable sidekicks) to advance the game faster and more efficiently.

Items, enemies and buildings are limited in the alpha phase, and much more content will be available at launch. The second biome will be playable in the alpha phase although no missions will be given. We would appreciate any and all players feedback as we plan to incorporate feedback from alpha testers to improve the interface, content, etc.
