As we fast approach the official 22 August 2024 launch, this will be our final Early Access Update - what a great journey it has been!
Community response to TIEBREAK Early Access 6 has been astounding and we’re certainly thrilled to see the community continue to grow with each Early Access release. Hearing discussion about the improvements made across several areas of the game has been fantastic and given the development team a great boost.

TIEBREAK has come a long way since Early Access launched in January, and we cannot overstate how essential the community feedback has been. The support, insight, and honesty through this feedback has been invaluable for the development team, as they continue to polish and refine gameplay.
Honing crucial elements pointed out by the community, including player movement, animation, and the overall gameplay experience, continue to be our highest priority. That said, while this will be our final Early Access update, the feedback we receive on this release will be most important.
The team will be working tirelessly to address key areas of community feedback on this update, right up until the full release date, after which we will welcome TIEBREAK console players, taking in their feedback and suggestions for post release updates.
Early Access 7 includes Press conferences in Career Mode, eight additional ATP/WTA Players and further gameplay improvements.

[h2]Serve update[/h2]
We have honed our serving system by introducing 2 Serve mechanics and have added a new UI that compliments these new designs.
[h3]Advanced Serve[/h3]
Advanced Serve is a high-risk high- reward system. Executing a perfect serve will greatly reward the user by having pinpoint precision and Maximum Serve Speed. Failing to do so will result in a fault and/or speed reduction and accuracy. Hold the A-button to execute an Advanced serve.
- Early - Ball will collide with the net
- Achieving a good early serve (green) will have a slight speed reduction and lose some of their precision and accuracy.
- Perfect Serve will have a pinpoint precision landing in the corners with Maximum Serve Speed.
- A late-timed serve will push the ball long/wide, fault.
[h3]Safe Serve[/h3]
A Safe Serve is considered a conservative serve and is not as punishing when executing a ‘Perfect’ timing. A ‘good-late’ timing is added as a safety net that caters to users who miss the ‘Perfect’ timing window. Hold the B-button to execute a Safe serve.
- Perfect Serve will have a pinpoint precision landing in the corners however the Serve Speed is reduced.
- The ‘Good-Late’ timing window will ensure the ball lands in the serve box with a slight reduction in speed and accuracy.
[h3]UI[/h3]
During the ball toss, a UI element will appear around the ball with 2 circles, an inner and an outer. As the ball moves towards the height of its travel, the smaller inner circle decreases in its radius, while the outer gets smaller at a faster speed, at the point where the two meet, they will be at the same radius as the ball which should be at the height of the ball’s travels. Example shown below:
The outcome of the serve is displayed by another UI element, where a colour is displayed to tell the user how well they performed.
For the feedback, Orange is early, Green is Good, Red is late/overcooked and Ripple Effect is Perfect.
You can rest assured there is still a lot more to come in TIEBREAK! The full release will include the much-anticipated custom player career mode, an updated roster featuring 120+ players, the addition of doubles, the DJOKOVIC SLAM CHALLENGE mode, and a breadth of additional features and details.
