Early Access Beta: v0.4.3 Thanksgiving Update

We are excited to bring you some updates to kick off the holidays.
There are a few issues that we will need to work out. That's the name of the game though.
Bare with us survivors! And remember, your โ ๐ŸฆŸโ”‚bug-reports are extremely helpful.

Zombies and AI Mechanics ๐ŸงŸโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿค–:
-Added 30-second cooldown for zombie spawn points โฒ๏ธ.
-Improved zombie removal from spawn manager post-player kills ๐Ÿ’ฅ. (Part of cause for no zombies on servers)
-Effect for zombies spawning added โœจ.
-Enhanced AI spawning to prevent mid-air falls ๐Ÿšซ๐ŸŒŒ.
-Temporary fix to reduce zombies falling through the map ๐Ÿ•ณ๏ธ.

User Interface and Experience ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘€:
-Updated pause menu with new main level map ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ.
-Loading indicator shows during save progress, with a notification upon completion and save status ๐Ÿ’พ.
-Modified server browser menu to combine dedicated and listen server listings ๐Ÿ”.
-Added road names to map and level ๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ.

Gameplay and Mechanics ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ:
-Ladders will lead to far less deaths!
-Fixed sprint function bug when key binding is changed โšก.
-Fixed a bug where the time change wasn't activating on clients, affecting automatic lights and foliage emissive changes between day and night ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒ™.
-Resolved issue with save list not updating immediately after creating a new save ๐Ÿ”„.
-Attempted to fix player stash widget initialization issue, pending further testing ๐Ÿงช.
-Resolved saving issues with build parts on dedicated servers ๐Ÿ—๏ธ.
-Adjusted first-person hand animations for running, walking, and breathing to better match footsteps ๐Ÿ‘ฃ.
-Fixed bug where some guns had higher movement speeds than the default ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ.
-Removed 'sonic mode' feature ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ”Š.
-Container loot NERFED TO THE GROUND!!! ๐Ÿ“‰๐Ÿ’ฅ
-Item weight rebalance (nerfed to the ground) โš–๏ธ.
-More Stone nodes.
-Many collisions were fixed ๐Ÿ”ง.
-Adjusted weight of some items โš–๏ธ.
-General consumable, resource, weapon loot nerfs ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ”ซ.
-Crafting tweaks and increases the rarity of keycards ๐Ÿ”‘.
-Taint transformer pickup fixed ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ.

Market and Resources ๐Ÿช๐Ÿ“ˆ:
-Added stone to market ๐Ÿชจโž•.
-Mineable resources used to make C4 are no longer in the market ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’ฃ.

Pointers:
Zombies may be a little weird with spawning on servers. We are looking into it more but it may work good for some.
Dedicated servers also seem to be going offline when certain players disconnect. We will be sure to have them running as much as possible, however if there are too many clients causing this issue on disconnect then we will most likely leave them down until we have a solution.

ZSGO Launch Pending Steam's Support

Survivors,

Despite our best efforts and preparations for a November 17th release, ZSGOโ€™s early access release build has been under review by Steam for over three weeks now. Steamworks guidelines that this review should only take 2-3 business days. However, we were informed that our review will take some additional time. This extended period of review comes without any ETA on approval from Steam.

We want to assure you that this is not an issue with ZSGO itself, but rather an unexpected delay in Steam's review process. Our team has been reaching out to Steam to resolve this issue and we are waiting to hear back. We will update you when we receive word from Steam Support and will post an announcement of the revised release date as soon as our build is approved. We appreciate your patience and support during this time.

Please follow the announcements channel in Discord for the latest updates.

For those that are curious:
An automated test regarding controller support failed for not being able to access the quick menu items. We sent them instructions on how to access this menu and Steam passed the controller support portion, but they are still reviewing other content in the game.

Prelude to Early Access Beta: v0.4.1 & v0.4.2 Arrives for ZSGO!


Hey Survivors! Our team has been diligently listening to your suggestions and bug reports, and we're excited to share some changelog notes with you. A big shoutout to everyone who's been experimenting with our Early Access Beta on the MainLevel. Your playtesting and bug reporting are immensely helping us grow the game. We've packed these updates with cool new stuff and improvements to enhance your survival adventure! Here are some of the major recent changes to the full game:

ZSGO Update Changelog v0.4.1

Top New Features: New Weapons! Explore the arsenal with new shotguns, rifles, SMGs.
Added an Ocean to MainLevel - Unreal Engine didn't like our first one.
New Quests! Embark on fresh adventures with intriguing stories.
New NPCs! Discover new traders and their unique items.

Fun Additions & Tweaks:

Added a Map in the pause menu for improved navigation.
Try out the new Anti-Rad Showers for safer exploration.
Enjoy better loot with updated Loot Tables.

Making Things Better:

Refined inventory and gear management.
Tutorial doors now remain open after their initial unlock.
Fixed issues with missions incorrectly completing.

Techy Stuff:

Implemented lighting improvements for enhanced visual fidelity.
Conducted extensive testing and optimization across the board.

Combat & Gear Updates:

Introduced 5 new scope types for refined aiming. Addressing ongoing client-side ADS issues.
Tweaked radiation and health mechanics for a more balanced experience.



ZSGO Update Changelog v0.4.2

FPS Fire:
Adjusted Zed spawners to maintain frame rates and enhance performance.

Bug Awareness:
We're currently focused on resolving two prevalent bugs on our dedicated game servers, including an issue where zombies stop spawning after extended playtime. We appreciate your reports and are working hard on fixes.
